Here it is ladies. Shall we start with a roll call like the efficient ladies over on April 2005?

Congrats logic!! Hope you are having a lovely day with you new baby girl.

Good luck preggars - awaiting the birth announcement.

12 days til due date and have started to get shooting pains down my left leg - has anyone else had this? What is it, baby sitting on a nerve or something? I'm hoping its a sign that everything's moving southwards at last....

maymum · 17/05/2005 15:18

Congratulations logic! I can't believe you're on the computer so soon after your baby girl arrived! I love the name Francesca by the way.

tab · 17/05/2005 16:03

Havent logged on for a couple of days.

CONGRATULATIONS LOGIC! So pleased for you. Well done and welcome little Francesca.

holly, not everyone gets braxton hicks. I didnt have anything at all with ds1. Waters broke and then labour started very quickly without any prior warning. Ive got another 7 days. Im so bored and fed up now. Urine infection is clearing up but my nose is blocked up and I cant smell or taste anything. Sorry - feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Myermay - yes Ive noticed these kind of little white pigment blotches on my arms and wondered what that was. DH says that my skin has changed colour and that Im looking tanned although I havent been outside in the sun hardly! Weird.
Noggermum - re shooting pains down legs, I had a friend who had this and I think it is baby pressing on nerves at base of spine/or just
weighing so heavily on your pelvic area. I think the only thing you can do is to try to get baby to move. Not very helpful but that is what my friend's midwife suggested - you know some on all fours position or samba type movements.
I dont think my little bundle is moving south at all - still seems very happy kicking and punching at all angles!!! Around my tummy button looks like a bruised circle - does anybody else have that? And yes this time I definitely have stretch marks!!
Take care everyone and here's wishing that the May babies take note of the calendar! We can do it!
I think it would be lovely to meet up but we might have to divide ourselves into feasible distances to travel.

18mumtobe · 17/05/2005 17:43

congratulations logic on your new arrival, what a pretty name its lovely. hope your enjoying the moment and well done on such a speedy birth.
good luck preggers, hope its not too long now.
im a first timer too vic and also starting to get very worried about the labour and birth, even though i haven't had any signs to say that any thing is gonna happen soon and im due in 7 days.
i have also noticed that tab, the area around it seems darker, but no idea why.
hope things go well at the hospital myermay, and try not too worry im sure it will be fine.

well good luck to all those still waiting for their babes to arrive, lets all hope we have an easy time of it. ill be thinking of you all.

Brighteyes · 17/05/2005 17:44

Congratulations Logic, after all the false starts you had you certainly deserved a quick labour, even though it was a dramatic one.

Best of luck to you Preggars. How come you get to jump the queue

Shhh where are you? Did you beat me to it?

I saw the consultant today and discussed the pros and cons of an induction and now realise its whats best for baby so have been booked in for a week on Thursday. May need to go in sooner due to bp shooting up again, had blood taken today and depending on the results I could be called in earlier.

fisil · 18/05/2005 08:32

congratulations logic! I had the meconium and cord wrapped round neck (only once though) - doesn't make it easy, does it? come join me and northstar on the May 2005 thread.

muppety · 18/05/2005 11:06

Well its all happening for me.

Saw midwife on monday and she referred me for a scan I measure so big. Scan shows big baby and polydramnios (too much fluid). Had to see the consultant today who has booked me for a section this afternoon! To say I am shocked and upset is an understatement. I was really hoping for a nice quick and normal delivery. I will let you know how it goes.

fashill · 18/05/2005 11:18

OMG muppety!! Not much time to prepare. Thinking of you and look forward to your news xx

muppety · 18/05/2005 11:54

I know I just feel really crushed. You know its wierd I never understood why anyone would feel cheated with a section, but now its happening to me I do feel like I'm missing out on the whole birth experience.

Brighteyes · 18/05/2005 12:11

muppety fingers crossed everything goes well for you.

Sorry to hear you're not getting the birth you want but at least you will meet your little baby soon.

Best wishes.

Brighteyes · 18/05/2005 15:49

Where is everyone today?

Are you all off having babies without me?

dabihp · 18/05/2005 16:13

Poor Muppety, know exactly how u feel, have been told baby is too big too, so am having csection next wednesday. it really does suck a bit not being able to have a 'normal' labour...

18mumtobe · 18/05/2005 17:51

oh sorry to hear your not getting the birth you want muppety, but at least the waiting is over now and you'll soon have your little baby to cuddle. hope all goes well and wishing you an easy recovery.

uwila · 19/05/2005 05:09

Good morning. Just popping in to say I'm off to the hospital in about an hour. Will send MrUwila round to post the birth announcement later today (possibly tomorrow). So check birth announcements for Baby Uwila.

Hope everyone else is well and look forward to catching up when I'm out of the hospital.

yippee..... it's baby day. Get out!!

claudi2 · 19/05/2005 10:24

Hollya, just posted my birth announcment ...a bit late, Clara was born on the 04/05 at 04:28 ...not long after Cab's Suzannah and I forgot to say she was 8lb 2oz

Brighteyes · 19/05/2005 11:10

Oh Tinker, you poor think. I'm only 4 days late and I'm going crazy.

Didnt they give you a new date of the 15th on your scan though or is the 10th the correct date?

Tinker · 19/05/2005 11:48

Thanks Brighteyes. Nuchal scan gave me 15/05 but because it was within 5 days of LMP date, hospital etc still going by 10/05 date. So really I am only 4 days late, maybe, but feels like 9 now. Can't get any proper sleep, so fed up of creaking, cracking pelvis. Mind you, don't think I'd want to give birth today - baby would share a birthday with Pete Townshend, Oliver Letwin and (as if they're not bad enough) Robert Kilroy-Silk

Marina · 19/05/2005 11:50

Oh Tinker, Robert Kilroy-Silk! If the balloon goes up today and minitinks is jaundiced on arrival, there's going to be talk you know...
