Ah, today is a good day for having babies. It's sunny & lovely & it's all kicking off for lots of people. I'm in a good mood. I'd be in a better mood if he'd stop bumflossing (& actually be born!), but you can't have everything.

How are you?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 11:59

ooh talking of easter hols dd has half term for the next 2 weeks! yay

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 02/04/2009 12:02

Aww, some proper mummy time for her, just before the baby arrives - how lovely for you both

It may be common to shag in July, but it's useful!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:03

yeah not too bad, waiting for physio to call me back same issues with the bumflossing though! you have my sympathy!! cheeky wrigglebums

Springy the sun must have gone to its namesakes part of the country it's really gloomy here

Come on babies !!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:06

lol shes going to have mummytime overdose she'll be gagging to get back to school to escape the cuddles

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:07

hows the sponge going??

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 02/04/2009 12:11

They're lucky that their bums will be so cute when they come out - I've got a good mind to slap it silly in revenge!

Haha, I've got a great image of your DD running around your house screaming for your DH because you won't put her down & she's only just escaped, but she's scared of being suffocated against your bosoms again

The sponge is fine, thanks I had to own up about it to DH last night & he laughed at me for ages. Not in a mean way, but in a 'what is this pregnancy doing to you?!' way It was very comforting whilst I was in lots of pain last night, though. I still don't know why.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:19

thats if theres any bum left!! i'm sure this ones bum will be worn away before it emerges

ROFL its bad enough now

"mummy can you let me go now?"
"no, i'm not done with the snuggles"
"but mummy please, daddy tell mummy!!"
"love let her play now"
"i havent seen her all day!! oh ok then" [grumpy face]

poor child of mine

see security sponge!!

Hello all

Just a very quick update before I go and catch up

My LOVELY hospital were great, in, observed, monitored, internal (all within 30 minutes!) Anyway, they are pretty sure it was a water leak, however, there is still plenty of water around the baby so they are not concerned about infection in anyway at the moment - apparently LO has his or her head plugging any hole at the moment so I only leak when he or she moves significantly. I have to monitor it carefully and go back in on Monday if the baby isn't here to have another check. However because my waters are leaking they don't want me to go too far over - they wanted to induce me Monday (I wasn't so keen) so we have agreed if all is well at that appointment (monday) then I will have an induction Wednesday if the baby hasn't come.

Good news is cervix is central and super soft and have started dilating (she reckons about 2cms which is apparently good for a first baby) and she doesn't think I will need to see her on Monday, (fingers crossed) although have been banned from all interfering so no sex (unfortunately this is NOT a problem for me!!!), no cervix fiddling, no long baths etc

Anyway off to catch up and see if Oddeyes has popped!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:49

BB - OOOOOOOHHHHHHH so exciting!! so anytime now really ((hugs))) > woohoo Baby BB is on their way!!! xx

Bless your baby trying to stay in by plugging the water holes

thank goodness for your lovely hospital!!! and yay for your supersoft and dilated cervix!!

Fortunately, I was able to remedy the cold tea debacle with a swiftly applied egg and bacon sandwich, with a runny egg! Ha! Oh, runny fried egg, how I love thee.

Excellent news BB. So, no more major DIY to prevent further leakages??

surprisenumber3 · 02/04/2009 12:51

I am on maternity leave, doo dah, doo dah Just finished last bits but apart from odd phone calls and emails, am done - whoopppeeeedooooo!!!

Also, I have no clothes to wear - nothing. I look like a tramp! My jeans are all under the bump and keep falling down as I have a little bottom and my tops aren't long enough to hide my belly then! And my over the bump stuff hurts and I suppose is too small really now. Goodness knows what I shall wear to the school later. Really can't justify buying any more now though.

Have gone crazy washing today, three loads on the go - washing things I really don't need to

Glad the hospital were nice to you BB, week to go max for you then - my bets are on this weekend though!

Can't wait to hear from Oddeyes and I am wondering somewhat about Bleu!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:52

Juw- LOL at runny egg love

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 12:54

Suprise - YAY for MAT leave!!

i bet bleu is off having her baby!! sneaky lady

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 02/04/2009 12:56

Springy - boo for pain - how you feeling? lol at sponge

Nutty yay for mummy time will be really nice!!

Schultes step away from the scales - I have also banned them but had but on 2 stone at 6 months so am probably with you on the weight gain but refuse to even look at them now!!

BabyBolat · 02/04/2009 12:58

Surprise yay for mat leave - bicnod I know how you feel - this week has been very weird - tis very hard not to just check you email now and again!!

BabyBolat · 02/04/2009 13:01

Surprise, this weekend would actually be lovely!!!

surprisenumber3 · 02/04/2009 13:03

fingers crossed for this weekend for you then! I have put my request in for next weekend. Would be lovely to have a week at home with the boys, then a week at home with boys, DH and baby (easter hols) and then a week just with DH and baby (DH gets 2 weeks off). That's not too much to ask for is it?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 13:06

Suprise - i would be very pleased for the same thing to happen

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 13:07

though you have more of a chance of it actually happening

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 02/04/2009 13:08

Haha, bless your poor DD

BB, yay for definite progress! Are you excited?

surprise, it's about time you were on ML! You crazy women with your insistence on working right until the last!

I just had the strangest, most undignified toilet experience imaginable. I needed a poo, but LO was blocking its way out, so even though I'm not constipated I may as well have been. & it was really painful as my bowels were trying to move him out of the way & he was refusing to cooperate. & then! Just as it couldn't get any worse! I got really bad sciatica in my left side - I couldn't sit on the toilet seat, nor could I stand up because of the fight between baby & bowels. So I ended up sort of lying across my toilet, with all of my weight on my right side, crying in pain & waiting for enough poo to come out so I could give up & try again later

surprisenumber3 · 02/04/2009 13:08

I know what we'll be doing over the Easter weekend then - RLT, curries, sex, pineapple, nipple tweaking etc - won't have time for anything else!

surprisenumber3 · 02/04/2009 13:09

oh springy, that sounds awful, poor you
