I imagine it'll be quite a lot like popcorn. There's always a few that pop really easily, long before the others. Then a few start up & all of a sudden it's all popping at once.

Of course, you're always left with a few unpopped, slightly burnt kernels. I think I may be one of them

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 22:52

Springy - me and you both simultanious popping could be fun especially if there were simultaneous thread reporting going on

Imagine the racing commentary you could do then

tristaleejac · 23/03/2009 22:54

I'm back, the sperm race thing was good fun.
Springy your popcorn analogy is brilliant.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 22:54

i wouldnt know where to shake my pom poms first

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 22:58

Any excuse to get the old pom poms out, eh? I think I may join you - they are good fun

SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 22:59

That sounds really rude. I didn't mean it in a euphemistic way

& what was the Sperm Race thing like, then? I saw the trailer, but our tv's not been on all night & I don't like being the one to turn it on. It ends up leading to hours of rubbish as soon as I've seen the good thing I turned it on for.

Give us a B!
B!
Give us an A!
A!
Give us... Oh for crying out loud, just give us some babies to get excited about whilst we wait for ours

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:05

come on people!! gear up those cervixes! eat as much curry as you can stand and get RLT & pineapple juice on an iv drip!!

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 23:07

Actually, & I really am probably crying wolf here don't be getting too excited, it's possible that things may be happening here.

I suddenly feel a bit strange & the contractions are being very odd. Along with the nausea & stuff, it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but am beginning to be aware that this is different, if not it.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:08

how do you mean you feel odd and the contractions are being strange??

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 23:10

I don't know. I feel a bit dreamy. Kind of light-headed, but not. Sort of floaty. I think I'm probably just really tired.

& I don't know how to explain the difference in the contractions. They're not painful as such, but getting that way. With a weird, sharp tingly sensation at the bottom of the bump as well as the usual tightness.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:11

if this does turn out to be it .....if .....then i think the pom pom shaking might have something to do with it

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:13

like an out of body type experience??

whats the timing on them? has it changed?

OP posts:
tristaleejac · 23/03/2009 23:13

sperm race thing was really fascinating actually. It showed the real fight a sperm has to get to the egg. After seeing what they come up against, it's a wonder any sperm ever reach the egg.
They had the whole adventure played out in human scale too which was quite fun. Loads of people dressed all in white, running along a mountainous valley which was 5 miles long, 2 miles wide and 1 mile high. (the vagina of course!)

SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 23:13

Oh, I fully agree. I don't know why it's not included in the books

I think I may go to bed. If it's not it, I need to sleep off the strange mental haze. If it is, I should probably get some rest.

My money's on it turning out to be nothing

tristaleejac · 23/03/2009 23:15

good luck springy - hope it's something happening xxx

SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 23:15

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not a sperm... (Obvious statement of the day )

I've not been timing them properly, so I'm not sure. I try to ignore them & I've been having them for so long now that they don't seem significant. If they keep me awake, I'll keep an eye on them out of boredom if nothing else.

& I don't know. Sort of like that, but not quite so extreme. It comes & goes, a lot like the contractions. Sort of like I want to start waving my arms around slowly, saying 'wheeeee'. Which sounds mad, but the best way I can sum it up

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:16

darn it, where i realise you may need to go to bed i dont want you to i know you said not to get excited but i cant help it i am now

if you cant sleep, you know where i am and my phone is always on will be up till about 1/2 ish xx

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 23/03/2009 23:19

Calm down, I'll still be here in the morning & the strangeness will have all gone away. But yes, I'll let you know if anything does happen

I'll be off, then. Night night xxx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:20

ok calm now lol

Night night & good luck xx

Bloody hell my back is so sore tonight. Took paracetamol but it hasn't shifted it. Feels like period pain. I've replaced computer chair with birthing ball, which is not helping much but at least I can roll around a wee bit to try to ease it.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/03/2009 23:26

((hugs)) for back pain xx
