Sparklytwinkletoes · 31/03/2009 15:58

I'm stil for you Moos...

Moosy · 31/03/2009 16:12

Me too, but in an 'eek' sort of way

DD1 is taking the edge off the excitement for me though, she keeps doing ppppfff noises and spitting (yuck!). I'm running out of punishments now. She's been in the corner and I've even smacked her but she still does it, so I put her to bed for 5 minutes, went to talk to her and she did it again in my face! She's now having another 5 minutes in bed. At this rate she's going to be there all afternoon

Sparklytwinkletoes · 31/03/2009 16:21

Oh Moos, DS is going through a phase of this at the moment too. My current course of action (coz I'm too knackered to do anything else) is to ignore him, which seems to be working...

So he stops spitting and goes and finds something to throw or bang instead

Moosy · 31/03/2009 16:23

Ah yes I did try that, trouble is DD2 then copies her and it turns into a competition for them. The 2nd 5 minutes in bed seems to have worked, she said sorry and promised not to do it again. We'll see how long that lasts.........

sorkycakey · 31/03/2009 16:45

Get the paint/playdoh out

I'm a huge fan of distraction

Moosy · 31/03/2009 17:08

They have distracted themselves nicely with pencils and the wall. They're currently doing it all again with a rubber each

sorkycakey · 31/03/2009 18:11

pmsl, oh dear.

Go to my fb pics and see what mine did with their bedroom wall a couple of years ago , it'll cheer you up I bet Moos.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 31/03/2009 18:15

evening

i enjoyed meeting mums.
congrats again moosy and hi sorky how r u?

Moosy · 31/03/2009 18:25

Sorky I can't find your photos, have you got them set to invisible?

I am still

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 31/03/2009 18:49

Just home from work and catching up properly.

Such a good day for the wagon

Moosy -

Sparkly - hope you're still grinning too!

Kay - glad you had a good day with DS1

tink - I like the addition of babies' ages to the list

Hello everyone else - Sorky, Gruff, LBOT, LB, IDOB, Cosmo

I've been doing some shopping in preparation - clary sage and EPO capsules for use from about 38 weeks and arnica and lavendar oil too. (Oh and not so exciting disposiable pants!)

Am I right in thinking that discharge can increase towards the end too? Started to get a bit more creamy...

Am also thinking about getting a hypno birthing CD/book. I think some of you have done this. Any ideas?

Moosy · 31/03/2009 19:01

Just read back about your scan STT (sorry I was a bit predisposed earlier!), glad it all went well and you can get properly excited now!

Speaking of scans, any news from LTE?

kookykid · 31/03/2009 19:57

WoW!! What an exciting day aboard the wagon!

Firstly, STT, am so so so so pleased for you - it's certainly been a long road to get to this point, hasn't it? Fab about being 13 weeks - there's only 5 weeks between us now! Great the midwife was so helpful too.

Moos! Congrats on the BFP! [grin
RE the caravan: at least you'll be able to reach everything you need! How has DH taken the news?

Hi everyone else.

kookykid · 31/03/2009 20:03

Ses - I used this Hypnotbirthing and although I didn't use the techniques during labour the CD was playing the whole time. The other book I would recommend whole-heartedly is Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth. Best book I read in the run up to DD's birth as loads and loads of brilliant birth stories and lots on stats and stuff too.

sorkycakey · 31/03/2009 20:46

Moos I'm having bother getting them uploaded, will manage tho' got Dh on the job.

Ses I used the hypno thingy this time around and would recommend it def. GYo used the same one I think. Very good prep for birth.

OMG Moos you're havin' another baby!!! Is it sinking in?

Moosy · 31/03/2009 21:13

Sort of Sorky, but I've had such a crappy day that I haven't really had time to think about it. Harrumph.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 01/04/2009 07:57

Morning!
Only 3 days left at work - wierd but good!

Moos - what a day you had yesterday! Have you got ur head round DC3 yet??!

DH is complaining I was snoring last night He woke me up at one point and I was on my back so shifted onto my side but apparently I carried on!

kayzr · 01/04/2009 08:15

Morning,

I am bloody exhausted. Our heater broke a few weeks ago and they fitted the new one yesterday. You have to leave it on full power for 2 nights to get rid of the horrible smell. Well the bloody smoke alarms went off at 10 to 4!! So they obviously work on heat not just smoke. It was terrifying to hear them in the middle of the night. Luckily DH stopped me from dragging the DS1 out of bed as he was still asleep. Not quite sure how he manages to stay asleep through the smoke alarm. So the house stinks from the new heater and it says to keep children out of the room. Not sure how to do that when it looks like rain today.

Hope everyone is ok. I think I might go back to bed soon.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 01/04/2009 11:11

no sun with u kay it is lovely and sunny here
sorry about heaters

lastboxoftampons · 01/04/2009 11:41

Oh, Kay! Just when the boys were sleeping through! Hoping you manage a chilled day today. Is the heater in a room taht you'll be spending all day in (ie living room or kitchen)? Or can you sort of block it off with a sheet hanging in the doorway or closed door or something?

Hi KK! Are you 18 weeks already!?!?!

Moos has it sunken in yet?

Hi to Ses, Sorky, Sparkly, Tink, etal.

Any news from Cosmo today?

And where's that Gruff been?!!?

kayzr · 01/04/2009 11:45

Ooooh we could have 2 new wagon babies!!!

The heater is in the living room. So it is a bit of a pain but I think DH is going to take DS1 into the garden.

Cosmogirl · 01/04/2009 11:49

Nah...still here I'm afraid 40 + 1 and no signs of anything happening. Baby has been uncharacteristically quiet last two days but today seems to be going bonkers in there, so not quite sure what that means....TBH I'd rather it wasn't born on April Fool's day, so pretty happy to keep legs shut until after midnight

Congrats Moos on your BFP!

Cosmogirl · 01/04/2009 11:51

Anyone spotted any good April Fool's jokes around? I could use a laugh...

kayzr · 01/04/2009 11:56

Seagull training Here you go.

Cosmogirl · 01/04/2009 11:58

Lol.....'Prof Brain'....I like it...quality journalism!

GruffaloSoldier · 01/04/2009 12:47

Hello everyone!

No baby here yet! Which is fine, I need her to hang on in there til after Thursday when our boiler is being fixed. (No heating for 3 weeks now - plumbers are appalling )

Sorry to hear you have heater problems too Kay.

I agree Cosmo that today would not be a good day to be born One of my NCT friends is being induced tonight so if baby is born hopefully it will be after midnight

I have been getting lots of BH and twinges etc but they always stop. I am 38 weeks tomorrow! Can't believe it.

I havent been around today as I have been catching up on my sleep! and have been very lazy. Im not even dressed yet!

Hope everyone is ok.
