Hi,

Just checking in for updates....

Ses - read your rant. I don't think you did an impression of an evil daughter there, it sounds like you treat your mum really well and with respect, despite the difficulties you have had in the past. Play time with the dogs sounded like fun and hope it took your mind off things.

Well, fall out with DH going strong. He has gone to his mum's for some food and I declined the invite. I am just so fed up of people asking 'how are you?' etc....When you have constant nausea and feel like crap it is hard to be positive. I am just not myself at the moment and am shockingly bad company and have got to the point where I am sick of having to explain myself...Sure they are all thinking 'what's up with her?' 'She is pregnant and should be happy, glowing etc.....etc..' It is prob mostly in my head but still I can't face social occasions right now.

Cosmogirl · 22/03/2009 16:32

God, just read that back - I'm a bag of laughs today...hormones eh?

Diege · 22/03/2009 17:22

LoL COSMO, I think you are behaving in a perfectly rational way actually - when else would anyone be expected to be upbeat when being nauseas 24-7? I get sick of people asking how I am even when I'm feeling relatively well, so would think retreating into your shell sounds pretty reasonable to me
SES, think you are playing the 'very reasonable daughter' acutally, as COSMO says.I know what you mean about not wanting to open a can of worms, although 'on paper' it would be the right thing to do. Dh tried with his mum, and she just went on the defensive and left him feeling even more confused and upset. THink from what you say that alternative childcare is probably for the best if your mum is anything like mine!
Oh and re: meet-up, would late April be any better, or maybe early June? I think you're right that we'll never get everyone sorted; maybe I'll start a 'preference list' tomorrow

Hi ASARTE! Yes, thought you'd be gutted about GYO, although there have been no updates as yet so you got here just in time!

Well viewing went ok, although didn't get massively positive vibes . She did like the kitchen though, but we've learnt not to expect much from viewings (apart from having a clean and tidy house for about 10 minutes).
Off out for tea at Nandos now, but will check back later for news of GYO!

Cosmogirl · 22/03/2009 17:36

Ooo enjoy Nandos, Diege.

Can't wait for GYo's announcement - need something to cheer me up! Hope all ok with you Gruff if you are lurking.

kayzr · 22/03/2009 18:11

I can meet up anytime really so whenever is easier.

GruffaloSoldier · 22/03/2009 18:33

Hello everyone!

Yes Cosmo I was lurking! Having a busy weekend as my Dad and stepmum are down. after fitting our new kitchen sink yesterday my Dad is now laying the nursery floor with DH we have also been shopping. all a bit chaotic and I am feeling exhausted even though I have not done much. Am eagerly awaiting news from Gyo so I keep popping on now and again

I thought that when we were talking about national meet up before we had worked out that August was a good time as there was a bit of a break for births? Im not sure though.

Cosmo - sorry you are having a tough time! some time alone is probably just what you need - hopefully when DH returns things will have calmed down.

Hi Diege - shame there was not more positive vibes for house viewing! Enjoy Nandos though - yum!

Hi Ses, Kayz, Astarte! Anyone else lurking

kookykid · 22/03/2009 19:24

Hi back from Centre Parcs. Had a lovely time and DD absolutely loved the swimming.

How exciting about GYO - fingers crossed for a speedy and good birth! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Happy Birthday to STT! Hope you've been spoilt.

There have been a lot of birthdays recently. I think 3 of us have had tots turning 2!

Have to unpack and get a wash on and do my paperwork for school, but will try and pop back later.

Astarte · 22/03/2009 20:02

Hi KK glad you enjoyed Centerparcs
I'm off to book our break for later in the year in a mo.

Happy Birthday to LTE! Hope you had a lovely day and hope to see you here soon x

Cosmo I didn't go to MIL's for the week I was due at all and I wasn't ill. Know what you mean about not feeling sociable, hopefully it's a sign you are close to birth

Hello to Ses and Gruff glad you had nice days.

Glask & Starshine I've been thinking of you and your little girls, hope they are both doing well

Like Kayz I can do any date pretty much. As more people add onto the list it maybe December by the time we meetup if we wait for all the babies

I go for late April/early May, but I'm easy.

GYo sending you love sweetie, hope everything has gone well

Diege · 22/03/2009 20:25

Hello! Glad you enjoyed centreparks KK - you deserve a break! Which one was it that you went to?
Nandos was lovely, though very busy - always a bit that you can't book there unless you have a party of 10 or more. Still, food was yummy and service quick
Had missed that about national meet-up at end of year . Was that planned for York? Think York would be good for us Northerners, but obviously not ideal for Londoners! Shall we go for end of April/May for those closest to North, and then have a massive national one August? Just thinking aloud - feel free to put me right .
Have water leak at moment in new bathroom dripping through into electric in kitchen, so fitter is here trying to sort it. Will we ever be free of workmen!!!
Still holding out for some news from GYO before the night is out!!!

LaTourEiffel · 22/03/2009 21:34

Hi guys, STT told me you'd spotted my birthday on FB, thanks for all the best wishes!

I'm doing OK, not sure how much STT has passed on, MS is much better than it was with DS (thank goodness) and I've just passed the 11 week mark, not long to go till the '12' week scan - can't wait!

Exciting about all the babies, sorry I've not posted before now, I've been really busy with work - there has been so many redundancies its been horrible in terms of missing colleagues and horrible in terms of the amount of extra work and extra pressure on the rest of us. I'm off to Belgium tomorrow and i'm dreading it really, the pg isn't 'public' and I'm wondering how I'm going to disguise the need to eat on a pretty much 2 hourly basis and not drink alcolhol...guess the old AB excuse will be wheeled out again! Might go the other way and say that I had too much to celebrate on my birthday, guess I'll be playing it by ear.

Anyhoo, looking forward to more wagon babies and I'll catch up again soon, will try not to leave it so long next time.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/03/2009 21:38

Goodness sorry I mixed you and La Tour up STT. Was my very fuddled mind in labour

Do you know if she had a good bday?

GruffaloSoldier · 22/03/2009 21:43

GYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Dont keep us in suspense???? How the hell are you ??????

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/03/2009 21:44

Quick update- sorry not been able to catch up.

After a 12hr long (from being established) labour Mini Gyo was born at 9.55am today in the pool at home as planned !!!

She weighs a huge 10lb 12oz ! I am just about walking (will fill you in on the details later!) and she is beautiful

Got to run but will do detailed story and catch up soon

Thanks to everyone who sent supportive messages last night!!

lots of love xx

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/03/2009 21:44

it was a girl!

Diege · 22/03/2009 21:44

GYO!!! I presume from your post that your labour didn't progress as such? How are you feeling now?
Latour, great to hear from you! Sorry that work is so draining at the moment. Belgium sounds quite exciting, although take your point about having to disguise the pregnancy and how difficult that must be. How long are you there for?
Off to bed now as I think the frantic house cleaning of today has taken it's toll. Speak tomorrow from work xx

GruffaloSoldier · 22/03/2009 21:46

OH MY GOD!!! well done! Name ??

oh ok will speak soon , take care. Cant wait for details!

CONGRATS

Diege · 22/03/2009 21:47

Wow that's wonderful news GYO (lol at you posting about the brithday mix-up and not the fact you've just had a baby .) And what a weight . Can't wait to hear the full birth story! Take care, and sleep well both of you!

Cosmogirl · 22/03/2009 21:54

Ast - You pipped me on the syndicate with the timing but we were both well out on the weight.

Oooo guess that makes me top of the list now

LaTourEiffel · 22/03/2009 21:56

GYo - that's fab! What an amazing weight and I'm absolutely delighted you got your home water birth! I had a lovely birthday thanks, don't worry about the confusion, totally understandable given the situation

So, so proud of you, can't stop smiling!

Congratulations!

(PS, the year I was born it was mothers day too!)

Sparklytwinkletoes · 22/03/2009 21:59
