Just coming on quickly to ask how I can tell which way the baby is lying? I think it has moved to transverse as i am now getting kicks on the side rather than under the ribs, plus my bump looks wider and flatter.

LuLu, I get kicks all over, but he's head down - although he switches sides, mostly depending on gravity.

If you prod at your bump you might be able to find a bottom & therefore prod down & find a spine to determine which way up everything is.

LuLu also if you put your hands on either side of your pelvis and gently move your hands inwards you can feel the sides of the head if its head down

Giggle... I went through a bit of a goth stage when I was in my early twenties... I can definately go further and get all black and dominatrix... When I was still working and we were launching the last Stephanie Meyer books (abt vampires for those of you who aren't familiar) I dressed like I used to...I still could fit into my 'skinny' clothes so wore my knee high black 3 inch heeled boots and black and actually did my makeup and hair. I didn't let Dh see my outfit until I was 'finished' and he just looked and looked...His comment, 'i didn't know you could look like that' to which I just smiled coyly and winked and popped off in the car to work where I shocked my co-workers too. It was so much fun!

been to gymnastics. stopped at the shops. came home. had lunch. and cake. and a bit more cake. called a new peer support client and now here i am.

goign to put my judgy hat on for a moment. while waiting for the bus to some home i saw/heard a woman screaming at her DD who was probably not even three. swearing at her and being generally horrible. then i noticed that the woman is pregnant (looked about 5-6 months) and smoking. judge judge judge.
i get that she must have been fed up, the kid was running amok but surely there's no need to swear at the poor kid.
i leaned over and gave DS a BIG cuddle.

purplemonkey, one of the women on the antenatal ward I was on asked where she could go & smoke I was really , but it's apparently very common & yes, no matter how stressed you're getting you don't need to swear at the child, surely? I hate seeing things like that
