Good old American Uni has come to my aid... even with an illustration which is nice...though I cannot see how I'm to do it myself...

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 11/03/2009 21:12

Right, DS now has silver space boots, a silver helmet (bike helmet with cardboard round it so it goes all the way down to his neck, silver foil all over and a hole cut out for his face), a t shirt with a silver glitter moon on it, and a ball wrapped in foil to be the moon. And a silver belt with a cardboard buckle with buttons on it.

I'm exhausted. He also requested a rocket, a launching pad and 29 aliens, but I don't think that's actually going to be possible.

The things we do for our children.

Will post pic tomorrow when I've dropped him off at nursery.

PuzzleRocks · 11/03/2009 21:12

Only kidding Bleu, DO NOT GOOGLE goatse. If you do though, it's Springy's fault.

PuzzleRocks · 11/03/2009 21:14

FreshHell - Can't wait to see the pics.

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 21:14

Isn't Goatse one of those 'wierd' sites

mathsmummy27 · 11/03/2009 21:17

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 21:36

I have to say that I'm not really wanting the baby to come early...but I hate feeling like I'm being pinched over and over again.

Swaliswan · 11/03/2009 21:40

Springy, can you pop back over to the old thread and put someone straight about your AIBU thread?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 21:44

ahhh swali i was just about to say that.

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 11/03/2009 21:59

Does anyone else get really bad heartburn from their raspberry leaf tablets? I don't think that I'm ever going to get up to 6 tablets a day.

Swaliswan · 11/03/2009 22:04

Nutty, I'm so tempted to tell Niceshoes to stop stalking Springy Honestly, is it not clear enough already that Springy sees our AN thread as a place of solace?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 22:09

Swaliswan - you would think so wouldn't you!!! i'mean fgs lol springys thread was about being stalked on mn and now she has an MNer doing it?? the mind boggles sometimes.

Morning all. I'm still playing catch up on this thread, glad to see the April Mum's are not a reticent bunch!
PML at thread title and discussion of orgies/ declassé sex in July/ general commoness.I have had quite a few comments along the lines of 'April eh? (snigger snigger snigger), on holiday then were you? wink wink' Plus the maternity wards here are rammed solid in April apparently, so perhaps it is now no longer the done thing to bonk in the summer. I'm absolutely delighted to be continuing my slummy families tradition - All of our babies are summer bred, and all the better for it!
Not sure how I'm doing on the rest of the common criteria. Hate McD (chips coat mouth with some kind of waxy gunk for hours afer), but LOVE LOVE LOVE Kebab mmmmmmmmmmm, oh kebab, how do I love thee, let me count the ways no too many, let's just say, considering Donna as a name (are babies called Donna anymore, or has that too past into the realms of no no?)
Speaking of names, I'm proud to see that all the babies on this thread have gorgeous names! Big Congrats to Marianna and Skiingone!
Springy, I haven't read the AIBU thread you started yet (no YANBU), but have noticed some MNers seem to realy get off on being.....well, slighlty psycho. I might start a name thread as still haven't got one, I'm English DH is Algerian, we're living in France, planning on returning to England in next few years, so need something which works for everyone. Arabic first name, English middle name/s. Starting a naming thread will be good value as people are pretty precious on those threads too. Still it'll be good to know if there are any hideous/ humourous conotations I've overlooked.
It's a lovely warm day here, blue skies/ sunshine and after freaking out a little bit at beginning of mat leave when I finally realised that I was actually going to have a BABY really soon, I'm feeling more optimistic now.
I'm sat here surrounding by IKEA boxes full of unassembled furniture, so another black mark against my name in the country club of life. I also sitting on my DH's butt-ugly fake leather sofa, but that sofa is plonked on a v. nice tiled floor. Have laminated in the bedroom (fine, just never feels REALLY clean, even after the occasional shows of soapy water I give it). It's a rented apt though, so ....................
I'm also off to a second hand baby things shop a friend recommended, not sure if 2nd hand is classy or not, could it be a reverse snob thing?
Better get a mention of SEX in, as it's never too early in the morning and I AM an April Mum. I'm still bonking pretty regularly, but it's starting to get really uncomfortable, and things are feeling tighter 'down there' - which doesn't strike me as great product design given as a babies friggin HEAD is going to have to batter it's way through that particular passage soon. Flip, shouldn't it be getting bigger and baggier?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 12/03/2009 07:27

GOOD MORNING ALL!!

SKIINGONE - Congratulations!!!!!! SOunds like you had a heck of a time but have done brilliantly!

so i guess i'm the first one up. been up for well over an hour now and typically DS is still snoring away in bed. he had us up to go pee a little before 5 then said he needed a poo a little after 5 and i've been awake since. the pain meds wear off around 5 and usually i can just sleep through it but as i was wide awake i had to get up and work the kinks out.

schulte - re: diggers -- fisher price do really good sturdy ones that are great for various ages. DS has the dumper truck and the digger and they're great. i can only find a link to amazon.com though. he got them both as gifts and i think they were from woolies unfortunately! anyway this is it. i'll keep looking for a uk site.

the weather's shit here again. anyone else finding that their winter coat doesn't really fit anymore?

i should go get some breakfast or something. wait for you lazy cows to wake up!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 12/03/2009 07:29

well, i'm second up! morning minush!
