Hmmm. Not at all what one would expect from someone who's supposed to be responsible and effective. Enough to try anyone's patience. Maybe have Dh have another talk with her and try to get a proper explanation from her.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 13/03/2009 17:21

Puzzle - maybe shes speaking ewok??

Boff, your AP is the pits, really. As for the greasy-haired man, words fail me.
Joining in with encouraging the virtual duffing up...

Grapevine has just informed me that DS's teacher (the one who's head of his school, whom he loves, whose absences caused trauma) is PG!!!!! I reckon if she's mentioning it, she must be over 3mths, so will be on ML before the end of the school year. Never before has someone else's good news struck such doom in my heart...
Have been madly toying with the idea of fleeing to Scotland with DS and the baby when she goes on leave, renting a place in Edinburgh for a month or two and having my Mum nearby to help out. I can't face the thought of dragging him crying to school every day, and can't really see me coping with him and the baby at home together. Could I get him into a playgroup for 1 month do you think? He'll be 4 (in 6 days).

PuzzleRocks · 13/03/2009 17:22

Possibly. Bleu - Do you come from the Forest moon of Endor?

BoffinMum · 13/03/2009 17:22

I am actually feeling strangely like a rebellious teenager now. Loud music in my bedroom, fantasising about violence, and downing oramorph slammers with my mates. I think I will leave a bowl of cereal under the bed in a minute and grow a culture, and also snog someone with spots to add to the actualite.

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:23

Oh there are many more Puzzle... Native American inspired names you see... Tis why the Welsh place names don't bother me enough not to try to say them..though I mangle them horribly I know...

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:24

lol Boff, let me just bring out the whiskey I've hidden at the back of the closet... Oh there's some rum too...

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:25

OY! I'm not hairy or short!
Though the trees do call to me...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 13/03/2009 17:27

ROLF Puzzle

Boffin - sounds like a plan

BoffinMum · 13/03/2009 17:28

Auld, yes I think if you ring around asap and ask nicely, you probably could probably put your DS into a nursery and maybe even get the free hours as well - they get 5 mornings of 2.5 hours a week at that age paid for, and you just top up any extra.

Sorry to hear you are having so much bad luck with his school.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 13/03/2009 17:28

Bleu - nothing wrong with Ewoks!!!

ewoks was fab (am sure there was a tv series dedicated to just them)

BoffinMum · 13/03/2009 17:29

Suggestions ladies please for suitably rebellious yet amusing tracks on YouTube to accompany our slammers.

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:29

I do like Ewoks from a cute point of view...and there was certainly a cartoon wasn't there?

BoffinMum · 13/03/2009 17:30

WTF is an ewok? Are you people talking backwards??

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 13/03/2009 17:31

not amusing but perfect here

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:32

Star Wars... cute hairy bear-like creatures...you know, Ewoks...

PuzzleRocks · 13/03/2009 17:32

The beautiful Bleuravin

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:32

Oh god nirvana! Let me go get my black eye make-up quick!

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:33

thanks Puzzle...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 13/03/2009 17:33

ewok

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:34

I guess I'd better go shave...

PuzzleRocks · 13/03/2009 17:35

I'm just jealous Bleu. This is me

Juwesm · 13/03/2009 17:37

This one is for Smutty! I think it might be about her!

Bleuravin · 13/03/2009 17:37

lol Oh, well Dh has a nice scissor to help trim those ear hairs...

AuldAlliance · 13/03/2009 17:37

Thanks for that Boff, will discuss things with DH tonight and look into it, as not sure what we'd be entitled to as non-residents. I suppose if it coincides with DH being jobless, he'll be around to help and it'd be simpler to stay here, especially as we'll have to house-hunt somewhere, here or elsewhere depending on if/where he finds work. The uncertainties of all this are mind-boggling.
