Aaargh! Why do people on FB 'LOL' so much? I have a friend who puts a lol at the end of every single status update. At the moment she is 'watching her daughter paint the living room lol'. Why is that funny? Why would you lol at that?

I am feeling very self-righteous at the moment as lunch was a huge bowl of salad (serving bowl!).

Springy - my DH believes you shouldn't use the dehumidifier with doors/ windows open as it will then just keep sucking in moisture from the outside world instead of indoors. Though we don't have one and he is no sort of expert in this in any way, shape or form so could be completely wrong.
It is lovely to be able to have the doors and windows open though.

I'm with you Bleu - it seems hard to imagine where all the extra energy will come from. I have always believed I need at least 8 hours of sleep to function as a human being! Maybe we go through tiredness, and out the other side, into a zone where you no longer need sleep to function.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 12:53

damn, nightmare, cant you get your dh to phone?? book her into a hotel if needs be.

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 12:56

There is a hotel within walking distance actually... maybe I could have the hotel room... and leave her to the messy house

Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 12:57

I have a friend who believes (no matter how many times I've told him that lol means 'Lots of Love' so he puts it on the end of everything...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 12:57

nope book her in, stay in the house.

Has anyone heard from Bronze? I'm a bit concerned. Something was up yesterday.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 12:58

I wonder what that makes ROFL? Really Outrageous Feeling of Love?

SpringySunshine · 12/03/2009 12:59

Pfft, I'm reading about natural induction of labour (don't worry BB, I'm not doing anything!) & found this warning:

'There is a vegetable oil called CASTOR Oil, which is sometimes used to get labor going or for other medicinal purposes. There is a petroleum product, i.e. motor oil, called Castrol Oil, which could be toxic. Please do not confuse them!'

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 13:01

Puzzle - no i havent, mumble is her buddy, but she hasnt been on either. do you think it would be ok to give her a text or would that be a bit intrusive?

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 13:02

giggle Springy, hopeful one would not be so stupid as to confuse the two aye?

£63 for the night at the hotel...can't really afford it... You got an extra bed Nutty ? I could send her on to Bristol... that's not much farther...

SpringySunshine · 12/03/2009 13:02

Ju, don't worry, I meant all of the inside doors. It is, however, alerting me to how much mess is still piled in the so-called nursey. It looks like a badly packed storage unit I don't usually notice because the door's never open. Now I can't decide whether to prepare a nice cooked dinner for DH or to start clearing out that room. I was looking forward to the food, but I think I know what I should do.

I'm worried about bronze too, Puzzle. She seemed really down. I hope she comes back to talk to us.

Ah my lovely assistant at work is going on holiday for 2 weeks before my m/l so yesterday she gave me a present for the baby and a present for me - one chocolate treat for every working day until the baby is here.

It's day one, I am on treat number 4!!! whooops!

Smutts just drop her a quick friendly text!

x

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 13:06

Bleu - if shes remotely svelt or attractive then sorry no can do. would be bad for my mental health. though i do have a spare shed she could use??

OP posts:
Juwesm · 12/03/2009 13:07

Is it strange to have potato and pasta in soup?

SpringySunshine · 12/03/2009 13:09

That's really sweet of her, BB. Although you seem to have missed the point

Bleu, you can send her up here - she can help me clear out the nursery. Sheffield is slightly out of the way, but we have a very comfortable sofa she can sleep on.

& Ju, you're pregnant. Nothing's strange anymore. Nutty eats chalk

BabyBolat · 12/03/2009 13:10

Ju no I don't think so!

Loose women are talking about how you feel during pregnancy and it is so funny!!

PuzzleRocks · 12/03/2009 13:11

Nuts - Go for it, we can only apologise if it's the wrong move.

BoffinMum · 12/03/2009 13:13

Springy, she did it when DS2 was born as well, waited psychically until I was literally about to go into labour (I reckon), and then threw a big wobbly, labour stopped for three days, DS has a developmental delay now that takes up a lot of my time and attention, and I will never know whether being beld up in transit for that long had an effect on him, IYSWIM.

I told DH in no uncertain terms that he is responsible for defending me from her nonsense this time, to avoid a repeat occurrence.

Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 13:14

hmm... she said to me when I was 28 weeks pregnant... 'Oh I have some clothes that would probably fit you... I really let myself go in my pregnancy...I was like a 16...' grrrr and then... 'X (DH) did seem to go for the chubbier ladies after me'... grrr

Though personally i don't think she's anything to look at

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 13:15

ok have text her

BB - thats really nice of her, you have done well though those chocs would have been gone by now if it were me

OP posts:
Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 13:17

Oh that is very bad of me to talk so! I shall have to go stand in the corner now. shame on me.

BabyBolat · 12/03/2009 13:17

blue - how did you not hit her!!!

Why why would you let her stay? I would come down with a 24 hour bug and not want to give it to her!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 13:18

Bleu - and you agreed this woman could stay at your house!?!?!?! were you post coital when the subject came up?
