Right lovelies, I am not managing to catch up, DD developed a temperature last night so had to take her to out of hours docs and then watch her all night and keep her at home today so am exhausted. Will try to catch up properly at the weekend, just popping in to say congrats to skiingone, and thanks for the links to Diggerland (looks great!) and Fisher Price toy digger.... I LOVE it but seems impossible to buy in the UK?

Hope everyone is reasonably well! x

LemonSlag · 12/03/2009 20:25

WFH - I meant moon of course.

Springy - Exactly. I had to google them. grape scissors. Why can't you just pull them off.
OOh "pull them off!"

SmuttyNutSack · 12/03/2009 20:29

Shulte - your poor dd hope she gets better soon, what did the doc say was wrong?

PuzzleRocks · 12/03/2009 20:29

Evening Ladies

We've had reports of some Filfthy Fruit Punnery on this thread and need to ask a couple of questions.

I trust you're all aware that you're contravening Subsection 136c of the Internet Humour Act, that clearly states that pregnant internet users are not allowed to combine smut and fruit before 23 hundred hours?

I assume you all know the penalty for flaunting the act? Ladies I'm afraid I'm going to have to have to take down some particulars ...

SmuttyNutSack · 12/03/2009 20:42

"take down some particulars" ROFL what particulars in particular will you be needing to take down??

tristaleejac · 12/03/2009 20:43

Hiya

Congratulations skiingone, what a beautiful name you chose too. Glad you're both well, what a little fighter you have there.

I saw you guys mentioning piercing of lady bits earlier. I have a wee quick question for you.
I have 3 piercings around the clitoral region. Haven't mentioned anything to MW yet and embarrasingly, was too hairy when they checked me for early labour for anyone to notice them
Have now de-bushed as I was mortified it had gotten so out of control.
Anyway do you think I'll have to take them out? If so, when? I don't want to keep them in if there's a safety issue but I don't want to take them out too early and lose the piercings. They're only tiny wee rings and a bar and there are no sharp bits or anything.

I'm feeling better now BTW, just a cold now which is a bit pish really, but loads better than tummy bug.

I've been nesting but not allowed to/cant do anything cos of SPD so I went to craft shop yesterday and bought 5 metres of fabric and am now occupying my mind by hand sewing round the edges, then I'll dye it purple, then put a funky fabric panel right in the middle and hey presto, a wrap for carrying the baby!

Loving the fruity filth, shame I always miss the dirty parts of this thread

Schulte · 12/03/2009 20:47

Nutty - just the usual, what they always say, it's a virus and yes she does have a red throat but it's not bad enough to give antibiotics I would feel so much happier with antibiotics. I am just thinking, she's been coughing badly since Sunday night and mostly at night, how long can this go on for? Will go back to docs again tomorrow as per advice I was given at the hospital, to have her checked out before the weekend.

SmuttyNutSack · 12/03/2009 20:48

i wont go quietly!!!! i must warn you i have a sack full of nuts and i'm not afraid to use 'em

BoffinMum · 12/03/2009 20:50

Hello

I missed all the fruit thing as I was down the pub actually. So NasalGrape is not me. I only do anagram MN names - my official anagram is MobMuffin.

I went to the hospital this afternoon. I was very grumpy and on the edge of tears because I was fed up of having a baby. They obviously picked up on this because a lovely lovely midwife whisked me in for my scan without me having to wait, and was very sympathetic, asking me about my SPD. I then completely lost it and required mutliple tissues. She then made more sympathetic noises and scanned me. Felix is heading for the 7lb mark approximately, they tell me, and is very healthy and happy. She then gave me a load of scan pictures for free to cheer me up, where you can actually see his face nicely in profile. I then was wheeled down to the ante-natal clinic and got to see one of my favourite two lady consultants straight away. She was absolutely brilliant and we talked through the whole home birth thing. She then checked with the chief neonatal specialist about the drug situation and she said I can stay on 2 x 30mg codeine plus paracetemol and the birth was likely to be low risk on a dose like this. If the baby has any drug-related issues they should be able to cope with most stuff by doing a kind of hospital at home by issuing us with the monitoring protocols and so on. Also if the baby has breathing difficulties at birth they will give him oxygen and blue light him in (I am five minutes away). So all in all a very good outcome.

DH then took me to a nice gastro pub for coffee, Pinot Grigio and some appetisers and we had a lovely time, so I am a lot happier now.

It all seems to be coming together now.

TheFruitPunneryPolice · 12/03/2009 20:50

Miss Nutt Sack, you're not making this any easier on yourself, as you must know it is also a criminal offence to ROFL at an investigating officer. I'm going to have to restrain you if you carry on, and I'm sure you'll hate that..

Schulte · 12/03/2009 20:51

Oh, WFH, is that beauty on your profile page YOU?

Love your DS's outfit!

PuzzleRocks · 12/03/2009 20:53

Boff - That all sounds really positive.

Schulte · 12/03/2009 20:54

Have we worked out yet who StrawberryWhore is?

SmuttyNutSack · 12/03/2009 20:57

Trista - i only have nipple/above waist piercings i'm afraid so dont know about it but i would suggest you take them out a week or 2 prior to your date (there be alot of streching going on down there, when the time comes) better to be safe.

Shulte - so frustrating xx ((hugs))

Boffin - ooooohhh ((hugs))xxxxxx glad everything got sorted and you were able to speak and see the right people and be reassured xxx ((hugs)) funnily enough i had a phonecall from my MW today saying i could keep taking the morphine, hooray.

BoffinMum · 12/03/2009 21:11

Have looked up piercings in my Lesley Regan maternity book and she says to remove belly piercings asap, but that you only need to remove nipple piercings when starting bf. Labial piercings aren't mentioned, but I reckon if I would remove them now if I had any, because it's probably like the belly thing.
