more related to sleeping patterns rather than birth i think.

I think, to be honest, I'd be more worried about a woman with a baby / small child who had a spotlessly clean & tidy house than one who'd let the housework slide a bit - I'd be questioning how much time she was spending being a mother as opposed to a cleaner. Kids don't care how much laundry's piling up, frankly - they're more interested in being played with & cuddled.

Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 15:07

I just drink 2 pints of choco- milk with the fridge door hanging open... does that make me a very bad person you think?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 12/03/2009 15:08

nope. but now i want chocolate milk.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 15:08

Amen to that! Plus, I'm all for them being exposed to as much dirt as possible. You've got to eat a peck of dirt before you die, and all that.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 15:09

Mmmmmm, chocolate milk. I'm a bit of a whore for strawberry milkshakes, though, has to be said.

Bleuravin · 12/03/2009 15:09

or is it my bad grammar which makes me bad?

SpringySunshine · 12/03/2009 15:10

Bleu, I think you're too concerned with being a good / bad person.

Drink the choco-milk, rub the cat on her bed & sit down & have a rest.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 15:10

Hope you don't feel too full and sloshy now though Bleu.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 15:10

Lol Springy...I'm about to go out and pick up DH early from work. He says he misses me and is going to come home one way or the other to help clean the kitchen so I might as well pick him up.

And no, not sloshy...my tummy was already grumbling...but when it grumbles the baby calms down (I think it may scare her/him a bit )

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 15:13

RASPBERRY LEAF TEA!

Just sitting down with a cuppa after tackling the ironing.

Ju the new name is brilliant.

Bleu - I can send my cat round to you to make your house guest one of his special welcome presents if you like. Just found another offering from him in my swimming bag. Bastard.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 15:50

Right, normal service resumed (though I may resurrect alter-ego at intervals!). HV been and gone. Mostly she gave me lots of leaflets, explained her role etc, checked to see whether DH abuses me....you know....normal stuff!

But OMG!! Brief mention of jaundice and how breast-fed babies are often a bit jaundiced and how this is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about "because we wouldn't want you to worry that something was wrong, is my baby Chinese?"!!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 12/03/2009 15:51

YIKES.

Juwesm · 12/03/2009 15:57

I wonder whether I imagined it? She just kind of muttered it under her breath. But I really can't think what else she could have said. Lawks.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 12/03/2009 15:58

Juw - Noooooo why did you change Yikes???
