The house is lovely, isn't it?

DH's commute is a bit dangerous, as it's on one of the country's most congested and complicated motorways; he does it on a motorbike (otherwise it would take hours), which makes it even more dangerous.

He gets home at 8:30/9pm on good days, and wants us to in Marseille so he sees DS and the baby a bit more. I can fully understand, but it means I'd have to commute from Marseille to my work the other way by car, with added constraints of having to get kids from CM/school etc., as well as doing almost all housework, kids' stuff, shopping, etc.

Property prices nearer to Marseille than that house are prohibitive, whereas in Marseille they are lower because it's not necessarily a town people are queuing to live in. So either he commutes or I do, and as he goes to his workplace 5 days/week and I go to mine 3 days/week, I caved and said I'd move to the urban nightmare jungle that is Marseille.
Hence the stress...

LuLu, your house renovation saga is scary (I am making a mental note not to move anywhere needing major work).

Sorry my posts are a bit me, me, me: I've not caught up with anyone's news properly yet.

But if Boff is painting her skirting boards, I join in the general scolding wholeheartedly.

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 18:36

Auld, I hope your CM responds well to the treatment. How horrible

Exciting about the Amby bed, though. We decided we couldn't justify one, so I'm a bit The 'parcel relay' thing seems to be a great idea - the French are so good at being convenient. Even MORE about that gorgeous house. 50km isn't that far!

Nutty, do you think the hydrotherapy will have helped at all? It doesn't sound like it at the moment! Yay for morphine, though. Small mercies & all that... & I know - BB always makes out like she's some sort of monstrosity, but I just can't believe it having seen pictures of her. I think she's trying to get the sympathy vote so we let her have the next birth

LuLu, how frustrating about the doors - how did they mess that up so badly? How long will it take them to replace the 3 they got wrong?

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 18:38

Why would you google? It's so disgusting! & it was the WHOLE screen & totally unexpected I first saw it when I was about 14 & was really quite innocent - I think the original trauma is still with me, never mind every incident afterwards

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 18:39

There will be no letting of anything - I AM having the next one!!! well WFH can have hers first as technically she is due first!

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 18:41

annoyingly I didn't close it only minimised it so when I pulled up internet there it was again!!

I DON'T KNOW WHY I LOOKED - I am one of those people who if told no will automatically go out and do it!!

mrsfossil · 09/03/2009 18:41

hi all just a quick message from barb she is out of itu and on hdu. Is able to be wheeled through to babies and said they are gorgeous and all in the same cot.

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 18:41

I'm surprised you're not arguing the accuracy of dating scans & claiming that you're due next despite what the medical professionals say

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 18:43

Oh thank goodness she's out of ICU & can see her babies. What a relief! I hope she's feeling okay within herself - I'm sure seeing the babies will help a lot with her recovery now.

& BB, that's exactly why I said I'd advise you not to look - I tried to remove the temptation of reverse psychology!

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 18:44

oooh Mrsfossil yay for Barb - do we know what flavours they are yet? so glad they are all together!!!

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 18:47

I am the NOSIEST (sp??) person you will ever meet and will always look and will always ask the questions you are not supposed to ask so I have myself to blame!!

technically seeing as WFH already has one DS, I should be allowed to have mine first -tis only fair, I think!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 18:49

Springy - thats not pleasent lol dont think so and yup i think she is after the next birth lol

Auld - hope you find somewhere you can be happy xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 18:52

MrsFossil - thanks for the update good news that they are doing well

Springy i really couldnt help myself lol

BB - lol {grin]

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 18:53

& there's such an argument to entitlement to next birth

BB, did you see the thread earlier about looking in people's bathroom cabinets? A woman admitted to it because her husband said she was a freak for doing it & wanted to know who else did. Nearly everyone was completely outraged & disgusted at the idea. I don't always look, but often do. I bet you do as well, then?

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 18:58

I haven't actually done that but may well do in the future!!!

I know I think it is a valid argument!

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 19:00

I wouldn't be disgusted by it tho - (I have been known to read people's diaries and text messages) although on these occasions there was a valid reason!!

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 19:02

I don't touch anything when I look, but I just wonder what people keep in there. I wouldn't do it to someone who I didn't know well enough to explain what I was doing if I was caught (although I'd want to know why they were bursting into the bathroom whilst I was in there ), but it is interesting to look!

& get on with it, then - every baby born is one baby closer to mine & I'm fed up of being in great discomfort every time I move!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 19:03

hee hee theres no interesting stuff in my bathroom cabinets all the fun stuff is elsewhere

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 19:04

I've read text messages too, but I had a valid reason as well. Or at least justification. & it was only my sister, so it doesn't really count, right?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 19:05

lol COME ON BB!! man i hope i go early i really dont want to be the last!!

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 19:05

We don't have bathroom cabinets so I am safe!

I would love to get on with it - how how do I make it come sooner!!!

SpringySunshine · 09/03/2009 19:05

Nutty, I'm not even looking for anything exciting or unusual If you looked in mine you'd find Anusol at the moment, which would raise the eyebrows of some of my friends. That's about as bad as it gets in mine - the rest is mostly dental hygiene stuff. I'm just as interested in what kind of toothpaste people use as in finding anything 'fun'

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 19:07

Colgate whitening

BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 19:07

Dh doesn't know when he will be home - I have just eaten 3 bowls of cereal as I am starving -watch him come home in 10 minutes and want dinner! (he is cooking tonight tho so all is fine by me!!!)

I am so glad I am on this thread - could you imagine if I had left you to go on to the March thread when the drs put me forward?? I would be going crazy at them all popping already!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 19:08

BB you been bouncing on a spacehopper? RLT? Pineapple? Curry? Nookie & BJ's? what else is there?????

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 09/03/2009 19:09
