BoffinMum · 04/03/2009 22:32

DH is putting up my bathroom cupboard! Hurray!!

He is not doing it naked though. All your blokes seem to do their DIY naked.

mathsmummy27 · 04/03/2009 22:38

I wish Boff. Mine does it wearing green holey pants halfway down his *rse. mmmmmmmmm

Swaliswan · 04/03/2009 22:43

Right, I'm off to bed. I don't expect that I'll manage to post anywhere near as much tomorrow as DD is home all day and hopefully my aunt is coming to visit.

SpringySunshine · 04/03/2009 23:07

Boffin, I got DH cooking for me naked earlier. & then he produced a 400g bar of Dairy Milk.

He wants something & I'm becoming very suspicious as to what. He denies all knowledge of what I'm talking about, but I guarantee that there's a blokey night out or something in the offing that he's going to be wanting permission for

BoffinMum · 05/03/2009 00:24

No chocolate here for me, but my bathroom is now reassembled and looking pretty good. All the boxes of crap now removed from bedroom floor.

New laundry basket in situ, replacing 1950 model inherited from in-laws. New chrome fittings installed which actually do what they are supposed to. Taps actually work.

Just got to get DH to put up rail for shower over bath now, which should happen at the weekend, iron the curtains and put them up, and carpet going down tomorrow to help with sound insulation.

I am very happy with the bathroom now and very pleased we only spent about a third of replacing the whole thing.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 06:22

Yayy for taps that do what they're supposed to do Boff.

Tis good - a bathroom should be a proper sanctuary.

And profuse apologies for my evil cat casting voodoo type curses upon your appliances.

Quite excited - got a message from a friend who is over from abroad for a few days at short notice so hopefully should get to catch up with her tomorrow somehow / somewhere.

I think DH and I are getting old and fusty. Back in our early 'courting' days he was always doing DIY naked or at most in a boiler suit with nothing underneath.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 06:27

Oh Puzzle ROFL! Just noticed your work on the old thread last night. Ha ha ha.

I believe the last word truly is yours this time.

PuzzleRocks · 05/03/2009 07:36

Good morning
DD slept from 8 until 6. [does merry dance]

Springy - I want a naked chef too.

Boff - Great news about the bathroom, you must feel relieved.

Lulu - I take thread admin very seriously.

Poor Purple. I hope you do get to see the doctor.

Claireykitten · 05/03/2009 07:58

Morning all!

Right I know this is proably far TMI at this early hour of the morning but I need to know!

I seem to have possibly maybe finally got rid of the thrush (YAY!!) but over the last couple of days I seem to have been having an awful lot more discharge and I mean an awful lot! It is definitely just normal discharge not anything worrying looking but is this normal at theis stage as I dont remember it happening with DS. I do think it is just an increase of mucus production as my nose is all blocked and snuffly as well but it just seems strange.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/03/2009 08:01

clairey - i wear pads everyday. partially because i wee a bit when i sneeze but also because of discharge - the stuff just falls out of me! i think it's quite normal to have lots of discharge when pregnant. (though not very pleasant at times!)

YAY for getting rid of the thrush!

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 08:04

Oh sorry Purple. Fingers crossed for you.

Puzzle - congrats on your DDs sleep. My DD also did 10 hours. Was 7-5 though. Methinks I ought to put her to bed later . (Also in order to achieve that sleep I had her in my bed - she went to sleep smiling she was so chuffed!)

Clairey if you are worried speak to your GP. More discharge is normal in pregnancy. I find I am very much in need of panty liners when pregnant but if you don't think it seems normal check it out. Trust your instincts.

PuzzleRocks · 05/03/2009 08:15

Lulu - She was in with us too. I can see all four of us being in there come April. I need a bigger bed.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/03/2009 08:17

first thing we did when we found out about this little one was to buy a bigger bed! somehow DH still complains about having no room even in a superking!

Claireykitten · 05/03/2009 08:21

As long as it is normal to have stupid amounts of discharge Im not overly worried about so shall wait and see. I just dont remember ever wearing liners with DS but this time round I have no choice!

bronze · 05/03/2009 08:30

morning all
I just wrote a proper long post for once then managed to close the bloody page
I give up

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 08:32

Yeah I reckon we're going to end up with 4 in the bed too. Glad we're not the only ones. Bedroom really not big enough to cope with more than a standard double though.

Clairey it's definitely normal. I remember being totally last time round and consulting all sorts of forums on the subject. This time I just went out and stocked up on liners when I found out I was pregnant.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 08:45

Grrr - bronze that drives me potty. This laptop has a habit of skipping back a page and making you lose everything you are working on. Really infuriating.

I must go out and get some things done. Can you all try not to complete another thread before I get back at lunchtime?

And if and when Nutty logs on - hope you had an OK night in hospital. Get stroppy and demand drugs. Thinking of you x

Juwesm · 05/03/2009 08:45

Good morning all!

I've just been lurking around a cloth nappies thread, and I'm now more confused than ever - it's a whole different world! I (naively) thought it was just a matter of buying reusable-of-your-choice and off you go. Now I discover all sorts of stuff about wraps (and making your own), night time nappies, vinegar as fabric softener, bamboo, hemp, suede, pretty ittis and blueberry minkis and lanolinising.....

Come back Pampers, all is forgiven.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 08:48

Ju - stick with your convictions.

I looked at several brands of reusables, bought a load that I liked and that was that.

Right - I really am going out now.

Juwesm · 05/03/2009 09:09

OOOOH!!!

Don't know entirely what is going on but text from Kazkiss:

"Just a quickie as need a nap...Isabelle Florence and Oliver Thomas were born this morning at 5am by c section. Both well but in NICU cos early. Am ok just tired."

What did MN do to her??? She only arrived two days ago! CS was booked for 30th March, twinnies not actually due until 20th April - must investigate!

HOW EXCITED AM I????

(Also solves the whole shop name thing - Isabella Oliver v. appropriate!!!)
