Wow KK, great news about having a boy!!!

Astarte · 09/03/2009 17:53

KK , hoping that says it all

Kayz, I'm sure one of you will find work soon. Not helpful from MIL tho'.

I don't mind my job but I am entitled to 9 months mat leave and I am damn well taking it. I did look into going back early but there has been a hours cut and I will only be able to work 12 hours a week. So if I went back now I would lose £140 a month which we can not afford but MIL doesn't believe us.

mommyinthemiddle · 09/03/2009 17:59

So update on the MINM household...
Can't believe i am 30 weeks already where has the time gone? We are going to be extra busy the next 6 weeks as we are moving out of house in with my nan then got to get rid of furniture/applicances/junk and give keys back to agent at the end of April. Hopefully get our deposit back.
Also the shipping company is coming at the end of april to collect stuff so that all has to be organised. Will be living out of suitcases for a couple of months.
Will wait for babes arrival then rush about again organising passport, saying goodbye to peeps/showing babe off/packing then leave on the 30th June. [nervous smiley]
By the way nothing about move on facebook as there are certain peeps that don't know and we don't want to know. (my mother) long long story but we aren't in contact and she just causes trouble

So that is what is happening in the world of MINM. I have been reading and trying to keep up with you all, but being rather crap at posting Can't wait for the next birth announcements GYO/Cosmo/Gruff

kayzr · 09/03/2009 18:05

So it is all systems go then. Sorry about your mum, I couldn't imagine not getting on with my mum.

Bet all the move stuff is very exciting!

Hi!

Kooky - I don't know how to tell you how happy I am for you. Your news brought a tear to my eye and I hope the rest of your pregnancy is trouble free until you welcome your little BOY ( ) into the world.

tink - glad you survived the implant being err... implanted. Hope it works out well for you.

NJ - Just looked at your piccies. You have 3 v gorgeous boys

MinM - v impressed with your organisation. Does you nan live near where you are currently?

Kay - your MIL never ceases to amaze me! Surely she doesn't expect you to go back to work if it will make you worse off financially??!!!
Have you heard from Glaskham about whether Ruby came home today or not?

Hi to everyone else - Diege, Cosmo, Star, GYo, Gruff, LBOT and anyone else..

I've got this poor guy at work to support tomorrow with his disciplinary. I'm meeting him at 10.30am for coffee first to go through what he's going to say. He's headed for dismissal really but I hope they take into account his added pressures and stresses he's had to deal with. I'm quite worried and nervous so I dread to think how he's feeling and what he's told his wife and kids...

Anyway, hope you are all having good evenings and Kooky, I'll keep grinning for you

Thanks everyone, your lovely messages have made me all teary again!

I am absolutely knackered, and DH and I are going to have a celebratory curry as I haven't been eating very well in the last few days and am completely starving now!

GruffaloSoldier · 09/03/2009 19:52

Kooky that is just fantatic news! So pleased for you!

Wow it has taken me so long to catch up from todays postings! I had my last antenatal class this morning with women only at one of their houses and that was nice. Have a Sunday lunch planned for our first meet up

Then I went on to work and worked til 6pm and it has taken me all this time to catch up!

I am so tired in the evenings now, I never had this before. Been getting into bed at 8.30pm, started last week. I finish work in 2 days I am looking forward to it but really going to miss the LO's I look after and they keep asking if Im coming back bless them.

NJ - Mikey is lovely

Gyo/Cosmo sorry theres no babies yet! They will be here soon

Ooh I better get on that syndicate quick!

Sorry for EVERYONE ive missed but have not the energy to do a full catch up. In two days I will be back on track with MN though when I am a lady of leisure - HOORAY!

Starshinetiger · 09/03/2009 20:12

Hey Gruff - 2 days more at work - that will fly by!
So, labour sign spotting anyone?!
Have had backache on and off since yesterday evening. Can't sit back and relax - last night was rocking on all fours to get comfortable. LO feels like he/she's knocking on my fanjo to get out. Was feeling a bit sicky earlier. Time to get the birth pool at least blown up methinks, although this could just be a slow build-up to a delivery next week or later...
Walking the 5 min walk to childminder earlier, had to stop twice 'cos BH were so strong. Really would suit DH better if LO stays put until at least Sunday, but let's see. With DS, he arrived on the day DH said it would be convenient - not sure this one has such plans to keep Daddy happy!
Congrats again KK - hope you enjoy your curry.
Oh and anyone have any tips on how to stop 2.5 yos climbing on furniture. Only went into kitchen earlier to get his milk then heard "thump", "ow" and ran into living room - couldn't see DS anywhere, then looked between sofa and table where he was crying. Took over 20 mins til he permanently stopped crying (didn't cry all that time). Am guessing he climbed on sofa and then slipped down - seems fine now, but will be doing 10 min obs until I go to bed I think. See LBOT - knifedropping on your bump is nothing compared to what might come! Very bad mummy , but honestly - once they're toddlers, you can't watch them all the time can you? And, I can't tell you how many times we've told him not to stand on sofa (he knows too, as he gives that "i'm doing something naughty look", when he does it and we're in the room). Hope you're all having better evenings.

kayzr · 09/03/2009 20:33

Star, sorry about DS. My DS1 is the same. Earlier he opened the kitchen door, walked to the front room window and ran as fast as he could through the front room and through the kitchen into the back door. He then came running back through and tripped over a toy and did a slow motion fly through the air. He landed in a heap and started to scream, I also started to cry but all that he said that was hurting was his sock.

Starshinetiger · 09/03/2009 20:38

Ouch - sorry to hear that your DS is in the wars too Kayz - but thanks for reassurance!

kayzr · 09/03/2009 20:40

He is always in the wars. He falls over, cries for about 2 seconds, gets up and does it again.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 09/03/2009 21:02

[gri n]

Kooky, I am so overwhelmingly pleased for you - I know that whatever the outcome, you would have been strong enough to deal with it, and that your boy would have been beautiful regardless, but at the same time, am so relieved that all the worry and stress has gone for you! Kay very kindly texted me the good news and it was all I could do not to shout about it in the office, but there was no-one to tell. I told DP when I got home and burst into tears - as I said, am overwhelmingly pleased for you!

I am feeling most vomitous, knackered, hungry and have the most sore nips in the world ever - I'm sure I didn't have the latter with DS, achey (.)(.) but not this nipple soreness - I was wondering if it was because it was second time round.

Waves to everyone!

kayzr · 09/03/2009 21:05

OOooooooooooh forgot to tell you about my scary dream!!!

I had a dream last night I got a BFP!! You know I was ill last week, well I'm on the pill and if you are ill it doesn't work. I had a horribly terrifying dream that I got a BFP and that the baby was due on the 1st December.

Luckily we haven't had sex since I was ill and the last time was a week before I was ill so unless DH has super sperm we are fine

Sparklytwinkletoes · 09/03/2009 21:08

Kay, I've been having loads of weird dreams recently - last nights was a particularly horrible and very realistic dream about my hair falling out in chunks - feels like if I reach up now it will just fall out...

A couple of nights ago, I dreamt I had a boy and called it Thomas.

Pregnancy hormones are great!

kookykid · 09/03/2009 21:15

at your DS' hurting sock, Kayz! Star hope DS is OK.

STT - thank you SO much! (For what it's worth I think you're having a girl!)

Off for a long hot bath with a trashy novel and an early night. Don't even mind that I have to stay at work til 7pm tomorrow doing Parents' Evening!

kayzr · 09/03/2009 21:16

Don't mention hair!! Mine seems to be coming out in clumps. It is horrible.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 09/03/2009 21:26

Ah Kay, i'd forgotten about the horror of post natal hair loss!!! It should settle soon though.

KK, if I hadn't already been scanned, I'd have said twins nevermind a girl! but all is safe on that front apparently!

I was v vomitous with ds, but nowhere near this tired. The nigh time toilet trips have just started too...
