Afternoon all! Can't believe it's afternoon already and I've done nothing - well, got DS up and off to Childminder this morning, then went back to bed 'til 10am (luxury!). Just been to get some bits from supermarket and now am going to chill 'til I get him at 4. Had dubious night last night - BH all evening (probably my fault for cleaning yesterday afternoon) and was feeling decidedly dodgy into small hours - cue panicking, as had not asked Mum if we can call her overnight, plus she has 1.25 hour drive here and we had no birthpool yet. Now feeling calmer, as birthpool arrived this am (yay!) and have rung Mum to clear things up. Am optimistic that all will go smoothly with pool birth at home, even if DS is at home at the time. Still feeling a bit dodgy and backachey today, but only 38+1 today, so still plenty of time!
Nat - so sorry for jacket - that is pants Afraid not feeling inspirational on the pressies for DS1 front - sounds like he has it all already! How about night vision goggles? But maybe you don't want to encourage him playing in the dark! National Geographic do them and I got some in Sainsburys as a present before Xmas.
Ast - yay for DH having op, sounds great. My fear is other way round - DH very keen to have snip after DC2, but I may be wanting to keep options open (despite my saying at start of this pg that I would never do it again due to sickness - woman's prerogative and all that)!
GYo/Cosmo - so it's a race to the finish line now is it? I'm quite happy to wait until next Sunday at the earliest myself - suits DH work better and as he is working Sat, he has Thurs off, so we have a cinema date on Thurs lunchtime - first time we'll have been to cinema since before DS was born 2.5 years ago!! Hope you are both comfortable at least. I am having regular BH today - just when I'm ready to put my feet up!
Second what you all say about getting into non-mat clothes though. Have already printed out my "New Mum's healthy eating plan" - although you could use the same for any healthy eating plan you find on internet, really, with a few extra healthy snacks in for Bfing.
Diege - your clothes sound lovely and your boss sounds great too - yay for mat leave dates being sorted.
LBOT - would second Ast on the weddings. You could go to both as long as you are taking LO with you. We went to wedding when DS was 5 months old, but left him with my Mum. Also, not same case, but took him to see my Nan and to her funeral (ca. 2.5 hours drive frrom us each time, when he was 6 and 8 weeks old - actually surprisingly doable with a LO). This time, my BF is getting married when this DC will be ca. 4 months old (your due date) and they have said - "The baby gets a seat, if it's still on the teat"!, so DS will stay with my Mum and LO will come with us - next challenge is getting a lovely new outfit, which is compatible with bfing - open to suggestions from you lovely shopaholics ladies!
Right, forgotten all else. Kooky - still thinking of you.
P.S. Would you all send some "stop knocking so hard on the door to get out" vibes to this LO - it's getting decidedly uncomfortable!
