Morning all

Great to hear from you Nat!

Cosmo- signs sound promising I've got everything crossed for you. Dont you think it feels like the 2 WW at the end now, rather than the beginning!! Acutally I thought of you yesterday when I was cleaning the kitchen AGAIN! seriously bad move as it ruined me SPD wise for rest of the day....

Are you fed up with people asking if you've had it yet?

Kayz- glad you enjoyed Crufts

Hi everyone else!

OP posts:
Diege · 08/03/2009 10:53

Morning! Take it easy GYO!! Leave that kitchen alone
Great to read your update NAT, sounds like things are running pretty well in the Nat household. Know what you mean about moving and leaving friends behind - there are only 2 or 3 people that I see often enough to call rl friends rather than acquantainces, and always feel that I'm too chatty with people I've just met as I'd just like to make some more friends locally...[just realised how sad and stalkerish I sounds now! ]Know what you mean about pregnancy - def done here, but if I had an inking for no.5 may well do fostering/adoption instead (though that inkling isn't going to happen!!
COSMO, very exicited for you - all sounding very hopeful! You too GYO!!! 2 wagon babies coming up very soon by the sounds of things!!
TINKS, didn't realise you needed a GA for implant I'm thinking sterilisation like ASARTE. Can't take pill etc due to blood pressure/family history, so presume any hormone-based contraceptive would be the same.
Thanks for reassurance of Braxton-hicks Teuch, good to hear from you! Mine have calmed down - only one lot yesterday which I think is normal. I think dehydration/overdoing things def contributed, as hardly drank anything on Friday. 25 weeks today - I think I'll relax when I get to 28 weeks and won't be so anxious about early labour!
KAYZ, glad you enjoyed crufts - fluffy white dogs sound adorable! Has it been on tv yet or have I totally missed it this year?
Had another pregnancy 'panic' yesterday - spots of bright red blood when went to loo, although I am 99.9999% sure they came from me scratching from 'outside' bits and not inside. Nothing since, but I do have thrush so would make sense
Right, better get tidying - MIL due here soon...

Starshinetiger · 08/03/2009 14:07

Morning All (while it just about still is).
Ooh, Cosmo - are you about to queue jump? GYo - can't believe all the kitchen cleaning you're doing! After all the thorough cleaning I did in first week of mat leave, am just feeling downhearted about how futile it all seems and I swear that plastic toys breed dust!!
Diege - sorry for scratchy bits but your post did make me laugh.
NJ - lovely to see you back, sounds like you've taken to 3 like a duck to water and I take that as a promising sign for moving to 2 for me (ever the optimist).
Kay - glad you enjoyed Crufts. Can't believe that's come round so quickly.
Kooky - thinking of you for tomorrow's results and everything crossed for you.
Gruff - only 3 more days at work - how exciting!
Been experiencing more movement from baby-Star here, so feeling a bit reassured, although from where I heard the heartbeat this morning, think baby has moved out of engaged again, but only Tuesday's appointment will tell. Due 2 weeks today and already every time we speak to DH's parents or sister the first thing they ask is - has baby arrived? Well, d'uh, actually if the baby had arrived we would let you know - you're fairly near the top of the list - god help us if I go overdue, we already have to start every call with "no, the baby hasn't arrived yet"!
Had a conversation with DSis last week to tell her that as my due date is Mothering Sunday, we won't be going over to Mum's to take her out and perhaps she would like to do something. Somehow that has now transformed into a call from my mum this week - "Sis and I would love to come over to you on Mothering Sunday for lunch" - so either they'll be coming over to new baby, or I'll still be sitting waiting. Not sure how that happened, but have booked lunch at local pub, as at least that way we won't have to cook and wash-up. Now, today, seeing as we've got my Mum coming over, it's transformed into DH's parents and Nan coming too!!!
Am sure it will be lovely!
Will no doubt have cross-posted with lots now, as started writing this before lunch and only got round to finishing it now DS is down for nap!

MrsWeasley · 08/03/2009 14:14

just read the thread title and it made me smile so please help yourself to these

I havent read the thread as it feels like I'm intruding, as I am not pg or a new mum, (my baby is 8 yo ) but Congratulations to you all.

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 08/03/2009 16:33

Mmmmm... Thanks MrsWeasley

Quiet weekend here which is probably no bad thing. Am 31 weeks today!!
Back got worse but is now slowly improving and I'm trying to do a bit of cleaning today. Two of my BFs are physios so I got some good advice and sensible explainations of what my back was trying (and failing) to do and how to help it.

NJ - so good to hear from you. Sounds like all's going well and hope you'll be able to post a bit more.

Star - glad you're feeling more reassured but how inconsiderate of your family to expect you to host them on your due date!!!

Diege - hope MIL was on good form.

Tink - I too didn't realise a GA was needed for an implant

GYo - Take it easy!!!! Otherwise I'll have to find you some anti-nesting tablets to take!!

Cosmo - sounds promising! Keep us up to date!!

OhSnap - lovely furniture!! How's things with you?

Glask - hope Ruby's doing ok and on her way home.

Hi to everyone else!! Back to my cleaning...

ohsnap · 08/03/2009 16:42

We're alright thanks Ses, and yes, DH's furniture is very nice, he's one of those really annoying people who is really good at everything he tries

Tink it says here that you only need a local anaesthetic, fear not!!

GYo, FGS woman stop doing so much!! That's what husbands are for!

kookykid · 08/03/2009 19:42

Hi everyone,

Hope you've all had a good weekend. Hope you managed to bring Ruby home today, Glask.

All very exciting about the next wagon baby! Star, we hosted mothering Sunday lunch when I was 3 and a half weeks overdue. DD was born the next morning at 8.30!

I have been trying to keep busy to stop me thinking about tomorrow. I do OK for a bit and then WHAM! it all comes back to me. This time tomorrow I should know the results. Just writing that made my heart start thudding again. Just have this awful awful feeling it's not going to be good news.

kayzr · 08/03/2009 20:38

Just to let you know Ruby lost 20 grams so didn't come home today. Hopefully she'll be home tomorrow.

Star DS1 was born 2 days after Mothering Sunday, but was due on the actual Sunday and I refused to go out. DH stayed with me just incase and then popped to MIL on the Monday and of course I went into labour when he was there!!

Kooky I hope it is good news tomorrow. I will be thinking of you all day. I have absolutly everything crossed for you.

Diege · 08/03/2009 22:07

Just wanting to wish KOOKY good luck for tomorrow before I go to bed. Keep positive, as there is more chance of things being right than not. Thinking of you xxx

Astarte · 09/03/2009 08:39

Just quickly popping in to send a furtive hug to Kooky {hug}, I'll be thinking of you sweetie, I hope it's good news x

Diege Dh is having the op now. We were researching what was involved for my op and I'll be left with at least a 2 inch scar from the laparoscopy .
Now forgive me, but after 4 pregnancies without a stretchmark, cellulite or scars, wtf would I want to have an op that will permanently scar me, require them to cut through my stomach muscles (poor things have only just got reacquainted with each other) and necessitate a GA?!?!?!

I'm ringing the doc's for him today.

Hurry up and have a baby you lot, it's been aaaaaaaages!!

If anyone see's LB would ask her to email me please? Ta mucho!
Right tons to do, off I go...

tinkislittlemissshopping · 09/03/2009 08:40

Astarte · 09/03/2009 08:44

Morning all,

No baby here yet I'm afraid ....37 weeks tomorrow though, so could be any time now I guess.

Good luck today KK - we will all be thinking of you.

Hope implant goes ok Tink. Need to think about birth control myself soon. Would love to go back on the pill but won't be able to if b/feeding, so will have to think of something else...

Ast - defo good for DH to get the snip - much less invasive procedure for the man and after 4 births he owes you surely Know how men can be about their bits though..

Quiet day here. Did lots of cleaning at weekend so can't be arsed with that today. DH's cousin might be dropping in with her DD (2). She is also pregnant - about 15 weeks. Should be nice to see her.

Where are Playing and Happy - we need those announcements!!

kayzr · 09/03/2009 09:12

Morning,

Kooky, hope everything goes well for you. There will be an extra big plate of brownies waiting for you.

tinkislittlemissshopping · 09/03/2009 09:40

idreamofbeanie · 09/03/2009 09:53

Morning all,

KK - I have everything crossed for you this morning. Do you know what time you'll be getting the results?

Tink - hope it all goes well at the doc's.

Astarte - def sounds like it would be better for DH to have a small op, of course I would say that .

Cosmo - hope you are feeling well and enjoying maternity leave. Sounds like you did plenty cleaning over the weekend so deserve a couple of days with your feet up.

Hi to everyone else.

I had a lovely weekend - my DB and SIL came to stay in a hotel in York for their anniversary so we had lunch on saturday then I took my beautiful niece (6 months) for the afternoon/evening so they could have some time to themselves. She was a little angel - we took her to the park to play on the swings then she ate a huge dinner (baby rice and banana, lovely ), played in the bath and went to bed with no fuss at all. On Sunday I bought some slightly looser jeans and a couple of floaty tops (I'm not buying maternity clothes till after the scan but have been feeling bit bloated in the evening and my clothes were a bit tight) then had a very lazy relaxing afternoon, perfect!

mommyinthemiddle · 09/03/2009 10:10

morning everyone, just a quicky as nan coming round in a little while to take DD2 to get her Hep ~B jab!

Tink- i had the implant 4 weeks after DD2 was born, didn't hurt going in due to local. However wasn't a good contraception for me, works differently for everyone. Some people love it, some hate it. I bled continously on it and i was the bitch from hell so had it out and copper coil in. Hope it works better for you, someone else i know loves it, never has periods.

Hi NJ- glad to here from you and that you are all settling into life as a family of 5! That will be us soon.

KK- will be thinking of you today.

Kayz- how is the eye/rash today, sounded nasty. What make-up was it? Crufts sounded good glad you enjoyed it.

Playing- congratulations, looking forward to hearing your birth story.

Hi to everyone else [waves] sorry for quick post must go try and get back on later.

Before i go, must tell you all i have been sucked in and bought a 2nd hand Bugaboo Cam for DC3... Shhh DH doesn't know yet. Just kept thinking its my last chance to buty/push a pushchair so went for it. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Diege · 09/03/2009 10:15

Morning! In work but colleague off ill so have office to myself and feel a skive is overdue..
IDOB, lovely of you to look after niece for afternoon - I'm sure it was appreciated! Sounds a lovely weekend.
ASARTE, agree that sounds very sensible! My dh is holding out against an op for him...any tips on how to get him to change his mind?
TINKS, good luck for this afternoon! Sure you will be fine
Quiet day sounds good COSMO - relax and enjoy!
Well just as kitchen business sorted, they're starting on bathroom today, but are saying it'll be finished in a week . Def worth waiting for though as our current one is so dated. On the search for some new maternity jeans now...(I know, I have 5 pairs already but the bootcut pair isn;t cutting it I'm afraid).

Thinking of you KK xxx

Diege · 09/03/2009 10:17
