Morning everyone who has just "arrived".

Diege- sorry MW wasnt helpful with breathing thing. Seems normal for them to be a bit dismissive. Hope GP can help

Ses- re feeling odd...its hard to explain. Im just wondering if its all pre labour prep but its still probably too early. Im 38.5wks. I'd felt odd last night. Really emotional for no reason. At bed time I couldnt get comfy in bed due to bad HB/SPD. Was like the weight of the baby was suddenly just too much for my body. Woke at 3 with dull lower bump aches and went up to loo about 3 times but couldnt decide if it was digestive or uterus pain. Also got really sore boobs that are gettting bigger by the day.... Heres hoping eh!

Got a friend coming to stay the night tonight and really not sure if its a good idea. Need to decide whether to cancel - really dont want to as I've not seen her for ages (she has to stay as she lives the other side of london and doesnt drive). Not sure...

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 10:33

Forgot you didn't have LMP to go by...
I was 9lb 3oz when I was born...

Seriously though, it does sound like Gruffette may appear a bit sooner than your EDD

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 10:35

GYo - I'd go with having your friend over. If you cancel you may regret it and if she comes over and you have a bad night, I'm sure she'll be supportive.

GruffaloSoldier · 06/03/2009 10:36

all sounds promising GYo! We will have a baby Gyo in no time Hooray!

Do what you think feels right re your friend - im sure she will understand. I have family coming tomorrow and could really do without it as our lounge is full to the brim of furniture - but will be nice to see them, its just a lot of stress! (7 of them including 3 children 1, 6 and 11).

at least its only London? give yourself til lunch then see how you feel.

Hi Diege!

GruffaloSoldier · 06/03/2009 10:40

EEEK! yes ses i have to be prepared for that i suppose - quite scary and exciting at same time. what will be will be - just wish i knew but im sure everyone feels like that!

i do have bags packed just in case

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 06/03/2009 10:44

Hurray for potentially early gruffette. That would be exciting.

Think you, me and Cosmo should aim to give birth on the same date! Now that would be fab!!

Thanks Ses, Gruff- think its right thing to have friend. Good to have distraciton too. Unfortunately she is the one that is rather phobic of kids/ birth etc so would do a runner in a cab if I went into labour! (though I wouldnt tell her til morning if I could get away with it!)

Having TV delivered today! DH's new toy!

lastboxoftampons · 06/03/2009 11:24

Can you imagine if there was more than one wagon baby coming at a time? There would be a wagon frenzy!!!!

Hello you chatty three!

Gruff that would be frustrating to not know dates for sure - but I'm sure they've done enough measuring to know pretty much when you're likely to be due.

Cosmo try not to worry about the baby's size - he/she might just be a small baby. I'm sure it's all fine! But I agree about the mw's appts - not much seems to go on! I'm STILL waiting for the results of my blood test taken 2 weeks ago.

GYO - I was wondering what you meant by 'peculiar' on facebook! All sounds promising

fingers crossed for you both!

Ses so sorry your back trouble continues But a good idea to take today as easy as you can - 'tis Friday afterall! Not sure what to say about the guy at work, but I suppose if you can be supportive without your higher ups thinking you're condoning his behaviour, then I'd be his rep. Good luck with it!

Kay - Dylan is adorable! I think he looks a lot like Freddie! The two of them together are so cute! I can't believe he's 12 weeks though! WOW!

KK So glad to hear the CVS was okay and is over and done with. Fingers crossed for the best possible results!

Hooray! I'm 20 weeks today! Halfway there! Can you believe it!?!?!

afternoon all. MW has just been and removed my stitches ouch that hurt!!!!!! She has now signed us off. I spoke to her about his constant feeding and she told me that i have to distract him with toys or dummy etc so I dont feel so bad about that now...

I mentioned top ups to her and she said that she would weigh him to see.... After weighing him she said there is no need for a top up and that my boobies are doing a great job... He is now 9lb 7oz so has put on a lb in a week.... yay........

So I am feeling much better this morning and DS is sucking a dummy as we speak.....

lastboxoftampons · 06/03/2009 12:20

LB - that's fab news!!! I'm so glad the mw put your mind at ease! and 1lb in one week si fantastic! As for the dummy - well, if it works, then go for it! Some babies just need to suck for comfort! Well done to you and your boobies!

lardybump · 06/03/2009 12:23

dp is taking us out for lunch to say well done....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 06/03/2009 12:27

Thats great news LB- glad its sorting itself out for you. enjoy your lunch, you deserve a nice treat

OP posts:
Sparklytwinkletoes · 06/03/2009 12:53

Hi guys, quick sneak peek...

LB, great news about DS weight gain! and glad DP is taking you out to lunch.

Waves to all the rest of you chatterbox shopaholic / pramaholics!!

KK, glad yesterday wasn't too traumatic and hope you can relax as much as possible over the weekend. Thinking of you, x.

I've had a very up and down week, one minute worrying about the pg, next minute feeling pukey and therefore better about it.

My due date for the MC is approaching fast (same as GYo due date) and that feels a bit weird. Its such a shame that my next scan isn't till after then, it would have been nice to have that extra reassurance in hand, but I'll just have to hang on a bit longer.

Still can't help checking everytime I go to the loo - I never had this in my pg with DS and its such a shame that I can't enjoy it. I'm sure I was vomming buckets at this time with him, so it seems doubly sad that I can't enjoy feeling a bit better.

Having said that, I do feel quite pukey, tired and irritable and hungry all at the same time today, so assume that's a good sign. I feel like my tummy 'popped' quite a bit yesterday too - trousers are suddenly very tight again and I've started waking in the night for the loo - great.

Ho hum, I'm rambling aren't I, sorry...

I'm also really worried that you're all going to be long gone by the time I get there - we haven't heard from NJ for weeks, Teuch is hardly around at all either, LG&T hasn't posted, well, forever! Kay, Tink, LB, you die-hard wagonners, please stay around for me?! I need you all!

kayzr · 06/03/2009 13:02

STT, You silly billy, you just try and keep me away from the wagon during your pregnancy!!! Plus there is BB due after you now!!!

Diege, It did come with the P&T's but you can buy them seperately.

My DH is on death row!!! I made a cake earlier and was just putting the mixture in the tins and DS2 wanted feeding. So DH said he would keep an eye on the cakes and get them out of the oven. BUT HE DIDN'T!!! My ruddy cake is burnt and what a waste of eggs, flour etc!

kayzr · 06/03/2009 13:26

I got some new make up the other day and I just put some on and my face really stings and it is all red now

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 15:12

Kay - that's not good. Hope it doesn't develop too much. Put a little aqueous cream or sudocrem or other basic moisturiser on it.

Sparkly - naughty pg hormones
Don't worry though, you won't be left on your own. I can't imagine what I'd do without the wagon. You never know, Kay may be thinking of ttc DC3 come October! (Can we make that sentence invisible to Kay??!) Also BB is due after you and you're not that far away from Kooky. We'll be here for you...

Mum popped round with her microwave pack. Doesn't seem to stay warm for v long but I'm persevering as I need something to improve it... She also brought with her 2 v large carrier bags of baby stuff she had in the loft. I had been a bit unsure when she described them to me as they were mainly things my Nana, Nan and Great Aunt had knitted and crotcheted 30-40 yrs ago! They were lovely though and really good quality and attention to detail. Cardigans, mittens, booties, blankets, etc.

Then had a delivery of the nursery bits I'd ordered from Amazon. It all looks gorgeous and just need to get it all in place!

kayzr · 06/03/2009 15:14

Ses, I don't think DH will let me!!!

STT, I'll stick around for your pg if you stick around for the next say 3 years so you can be around when I ttc DC3 and go through that pregnancy!

GruffaloSoldier · 06/03/2009 15:48

Just back from appointment. Afterall that big baby talk earlier mw measured me and growth seems to have slowed down and im spot on for dates! also mw said baby feels a good size and nothing to worry about. so I will just waddle on for another few weeks. im quite relieved as I wasnt keen on idea of induction. baby head down and at brim but no signs of engagement as yet.

rh neg jab blinkin well hurt today! she went at me like I was a dart board!

right off to see what ive missed!

tinkislittlemissshopping · 06/03/2009 16:02

se ye for baby clothes and nursery delivery from amazon exciting
gruff - glad dates on par
poor u kay with makeup

Astarte · 06/03/2009 16:33

I had a huge post with everyone on it, no really I did, and then it disappeared .

LB please don't introduce formula unless you mean to wean ds from the breast altogether. It is the fastest way to lose your supply this early on.

erm, kayz sounds nasty would piriton help do you think?

STT one of the gals will be pg again no doubt by the time BB has her baby so there'll be plenty of us still about
Sorry for all your aches and pains you pg lot! I can't wait for the next arrival .

Ds2 has slept through for 2 nights in a row!

Baby is only waking once in the night .
Something tells me it's all too good to be true, but I'm not complaining

Mine was meant to be a little baby and lots of waters, was complete opposite. She was a hefty 8lb 12oz and there was actually very little waters when they were ruptured .

Wishing for wee 7lb'ers for you all, lots of waters and a swift return to pre-pg shape and weight!!!
