The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

OP posts:

Hi everyone - just checking in and saying hello. Lovely to hear about the good scans news for some of us. Is anyone feeling a bit bored now they've got over the 12 week scan hurdle? I was so worked up in the run up and it's almost like , what now? can't feel the baby moving, have a bit of a bump but only noticeable if you look hard. It just seems ages till the 20 week scan and I'm really impatient! I want to see my bubba again soon. How is the nuasea going? I haven't been sick for nearly a week but still feel sick all of the time and also still have the weird metallic taste in my mouth. I have to say I haven't started glowing yet!

TrixieVix · 16/03/2009 07:37

Bexaa - that really made me laugh! I don't look that out of proportion (normally anyway!) because I'm not skinny (12-14) and am 5'10" so I guess everything balances out. My mum said I prayed too hard when I was younger

Hanging - not being sick for a week is a major plus in my view! The only thing that's getting me through is my GP said that lots of MS/HG generally means a healthy Bubba. It's bloody rough when you're going through it though - you have my sympathies.

DS is a reasonably good sleeper - he generally wakes up at 7am, so week days we're already up, and weekends we bring him into bed with us. My only gripe is that he won't get himself out of bed! He just shouts from the confines of his bedroom for whichever parent he decides he'd like to collect him on that particular day He's only 2.3 though, so maybe the older he gets, the more likely he is to get himself into our bed!!

ladylush · 16/03/2009 09:22

Trixie - ds used to summon us too. I think it will change as he gets older
I'm a similar height and build to you btw. but Bex there's a lot to be said for smaller boobs. You can wear more dainty tops for a start. I prefered being a C cup to a D. God knows what size they'll be by the time this one comes along.

Tiger - glad to hear people say it's a good age gap. It wasn't intentional on our part tbh but I suppose it will be nice to have time with baby whilst the dc are at school.

lemonmoon · 16/03/2009 09:43

I'd love to have smaller boobs - currently an E, but was a DD. Tops that don't gape are so hard to find - if they fit your buzzie then they drape like a tent. Grass is always greener eh?

Bought some maternity jeans yesterday - what a relief! I didn't even take them off to leave the shop. Hadn't realised how uncomfortable my regular clothes had become

ladylush · 16/03/2009 09:44

Anyone found any decent long length maternity jeans? I need a 33" inside leg.

Snowfalls108 · 16/03/2009 09:48

Hi Ladylush - try the redherring ones at Debenhams - they had some long legs ones.

The weather is a big mood improver - here's to a sunny spring and a lovely but not too hot summer!

ladylush · 16/03/2009 09:51

Oh do they? That's good. They don't seem to in my local Debenhams. Might get h to look in Oxford St, near where he works. Thanks I'm with you on the nice, but not too hot weather wishes

erhianj · 16/03/2009 10:39

Ladylush - Next's maternity trousers come in 33'' which is classed by as XL. Top Shop do 34'', but they sell out very quickly! I need 35'' and think I will be wearing crops for the duration!!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, the weather has been fab here and I was only sick once!!! Yay !!!!!!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 16/03/2009 11:12

LOL Bexaa - I'm finally filling a B cup but still a way to go to fulfil my aim of shopping in Bravissimo!

Currently 14+2 and feeling good. Got my 20wk scan on 23rd April and I think we'll find out the sex if we can. Although not 100% accurate we'd like to agree on some names. Can't believe how quickly time has gone and am now in 2nd trimester... eeek!

Snowfalls108 · 16/03/2009 11:21

PurplecrazyHorse - my scan is on the 23 April as well. 5 and a bit weeks to go. Can't wait.
It's a bit of an inbetween time at the moment isn't it - 1st scan done, all ok, tests done, all ok, but nothing showing and ages until any further checks.

lemonmoon · 16/03/2009 12:09

My next scan isn't until 20 May! I'll be almost 23 weeks. Gah!

ladylush The jeans I got yesterday are by a company called Noppies, and they're about 34" long, judging by how much I have to take them up. Not exactly cheap (£70), but horribly comfortable, with a big belly band, and an elastic + button system so you can tighten/expand them. I reckon I'll be wearing them for the next 18 months Plus, I'm not exactly trim but they did make my bum look nice - I pay extra for that sort of thing...

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 13:09

lemon, i had some noppies sweat pant kind of things last time, super super comfortable!

StealthPolarBear · 16/03/2009 13:15

hi everyone
Just popping in
Who is planning to find out the sex and who wants a surprise?

LittleCheese · 16/03/2009 13:20

Well im at home from work today but cant even make the most of the lovely weather as DD isn't well so glad I'm past the 12 week stage and feeling better otherwise i dont have a clue how I would be looking after her.

So are all you lovely ladies having one last holiday this year without your new bubs? Im desperate for DH, DD and I to get away this year to spend some quality time just the 3 of us before our lives all change again.

LittleCheese · 16/03/2009 13:21

surprise I think although I still have 5 weeks to change my mind

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 13:23

hi Stealth and Little Cheese. I would like to find out the sex, hopefully they will tell me.
We are going away for a week to the Cotswolds this Friday, so looking forward to that. Apart from that, we haven't planned any holidays, will see how this one goes with ds.

erhianj · 16/03/2009 13:42

Am hoping to go to Brecon for a few days with DH when I'm feeling more like a human being!

Am 14+4 and scan is on the 24th April, hoping that bubs will not be feeling shy so we can find out the sex, think that between now and then will drag!

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 13:49

I am constantly wondering when we will feel human!!

lemonmoon · 16/03/2009 13:52

(Measured the Noppies and they're 33")

I want to find out. We both do. I'm thinking that labour itself might be enough of a surprise for one day

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 14:00

instead of having a baby boy/girl, ds says he'd like us to have a baby dinosaur.

LittleCheese · 16/03/2009 14:03

lol audrey that would definately be interesting, will ds be terribly disappointed that it wont be a dinosaur?

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 14:16

probably. i don't think he'll that impressed about having an actual baby to compete with (a dinosaur might be more fun to have around the house )

audreyraines · 16/03/2009 14:30

oh no, i was just clearing out hte fridge and discovered a mould growing courgette which made me vomit all of my lunch

and i thought i was getting better too. damn furry courgette

LJ29 · 16/03/2009 14:33

Hi Girls, I'm definitely finding out the sex on the 28th April. We did with both DCs and it was lovely. I felt like we were able to bond sooner and they both had their names from early on. I think it is a really practical decision when you have more than one already too. For example if this one is a girl some bedroom swapping and re-decoration will be needed which I would like to get done beforehand.

Looking forward to TPT tomorrow - hasn't that come round quickly!
