The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

OP posts:

AprilMeadow · 13/03/2009 11:44

iammummy - we have 2 tickets towards the back (waiting for dh to send me the details) if you want them..... We bought 4 at the front for silly money and 4 towards the back. SIL is having 2 of them but have 2 up for grabs of you want them. £85 each (what we paid for them, inc booking fee etc) they include a ticket to the aftershow party with dj and stuff

BabyLady · 13/03/2009 11:50

Forgot to say that I too have been having mad, really vivid dreams. Has been going on for about a month now. Can mean I feel really tired when I get up.

LOL on the machete dream blue76, told my dh last night and we both couldn't stop laughing for ages

erhianj · 13/03/2009 11:52

audreyraines - just to let you know there is a fellow sufferer out there! 14 weeks today, have started on strawberry complan which is a bit gross, NEVER have it with milk, but I figured if it can stay down it will give me and baby a few vitamins we are most definately lacking! diet has been crap to say the least . I have had 1 or 2 days in the last week which have just been horribly nauseous, rather than the throwing up sort, I take that as an improvement - am desperate for any kind of light at the end of this particular tunnel!

Re maternity wear, tops are fine, bottoms I need 35'' inside leg at the least, I dont think tall people are allowed to be pregnant! I have looked online and the longest stores seem to offer is 33'' which is of the ankle flapping kind for me...grrrr... !!

iamamummy · 13/03/2009 11:56

AprilMeadow · 13/03/2009 11:58

ladylush · 13/03/2009 12:02

I've had a terrible headache for past 2 days. Tried that forehead thing but it didn't work. Had to take Paracetamol in the end, but didn't want to take anything iyswim. I am seeing midwife tomorrow. Will see if she can suggest any alternative remedies It kept me awake most of weds night.

Snowfalls108 · 13/03/2009 12:41

Due date is 6 months today
Not sure if that sounds a long or short time!
26 weeks and 2 days probably sounds shorter!

paranoidmummy · 13/03/2009 12:44

do u all remember me??? I had cvs result today and the baby is unaffected Its ok. Have full results to come but all looking good. Hurrah. 3 cheers for friday 13th! and i know what it is. Yay! Never found out b4!

ladylush · 13/03/2009 12:45

Spill the beans then Paranoidmummy Congrats on your results

pooka · 13/03/2009 13:20

Re: anti-d.

I just don't (didn't) see the need for a precautionary jab. Would prefer not to have blood product injections, but of course did have anti-d after both dd and ds were born, because they are both Rh+. By my thinking, those jabs after delivery were essential.

The way I see it, as a Rh- mum, all blood tests check whether I am developing anti-bodies. My first blood test showed no antibodies (despite dd and ds both having been Rh+), and the 28 week blood test will also show if I'm getting sensitised. On that basis, and the fact that I know if I have a bump trauma I should go to the hospital for anti-d, I kind of feel that the prophylaxis jab is unnecessary.

I dunno - the appointment has been made for 28 weeks and I'm going to read up a bit more about it. We shall see.

audreyraines · 13/03/2009 13:30

thank god i'm not the only one erhianj - though sorry you're suffering too. some days i think it's getting better and i get by without actually vomiting and then some days, it all comes back again. i'm able to handle more cooking smells which is a huge improvement and can now cook some stuff for ds, but i still have problems facing up to a decent meal for myself! ah well, what will be will be i suppose. if i keep going like this, i'll be a super thin model just after i give birth

audreyraines · 13/03/2009 13:36

great news paranoid

snowfalls - i hate thinking that i've got 6 months to go. definitely rather thing of 26 weeks, although that also seems rather long!

mumtobe23 · 13/03/2009 14:24

Afternoon every one! Brilliant news paranoidmummy congrats!

I'm making a big effort to drink more water (thanks for the tip kooky) to try and keep the headachs away. They seem to come in the afternoon/evening time for me.

I'm of those that have found out the sex!
i am dying to know what mine is but as i mentioned before I have over a month till my scan! Grrr!

audreyraines · 13/03/2009 14:35

yeah my next scan is not till late april. want to know the sex dammit!

Snowfalls108 · 13/03/2009 16:20

so is everyone finding out the sex then?

bratnav · 13/03/2009 16:21

Hi guys,

Sorry it has been so long, I have been snowed under with wedding stuff. Hope you are all well, it would seem so

Had my 12 week scan 2 weeks ago and all is dandy. We decided not to have the triple test as we would proceed regardless. 5 weeks til the big 20 week scan, can't wait to find out what we're having

bratnav · 13/03/2009 16:23

Also I agree with a few others, this is my third (others are 5 and 6) I look enormous already. What is everyone else wearing, I am about to cave in and wear maternity jeans that were given to me by my Dsis

LittleRascal · 13/03/2009 16:36

congrats paranoidmummy!!!! that must take a weight off your shoulders! yea- now sit back and relax and finally enjoy being pregnant!!!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 13/03/2009 16:40

Congrats on all the great test results. Pleased that everything is going smoothly.

erhianj I can kinda sympathise but I need short legged and they're tricky to find too. Maybe I could give you my trouser offcuts

Still only chubby and still in usual trousers. Forgot to have dinner yesterday so poor beanie had a pathetic amount of nutrients. Must try harder. Was so busy clearing messages and replying on Facebook that I didn't stop last night. Beginning to wish we'd kept the news quiet a bit longer!

kookykid · 13/03/2009 16:50

PM - Great news about your CVS results! Amazing feeling, eh? Go on, do tell what you're having... I found out from my CVS I'm carrying a boy! Am so so pleased.

So sorry for those of you still suffering with MS - yuk! Here's hoping it goes soon.

I had a MW visit today and got to hear baby's heartbeat. DD was intrigued and kept saying, "My turn!" Lovely MW let my little DD hear her own heart with the doppler. When I'd said goodbye to the MW at the door I went back to the living room to find DD lying on the sofa with her shirt pulled up waiting to hear her baby's heart!!

paranoidmummy · 13/03/2009 17:30

OK!!! I'm having a girl!!!!!!!!!!! I am overwhelmed with happiness! Know that sounds gay!!! But I never ever expected it to be ok and never ever a girl (i have one dss and 2 boys of my own!) It has been a wonderful day. Thanks for your kind words guys and kooky huge congrats on the boy! We should swap baby clothes!!!!

kookykid · 13/03/2009 17:53

Fab!!! One boy and one girl for sure on our thread! Perfect! Congratulations PM! It's so nice when you get what you want (even though all we really want is happy healthy babies - you know what I mean!).

ladylush · 13/03/2009 18:04

Kooky - how sweet (your dd) Must have been nice to hear the hb. I've got my booking in appt. with m/w tomorrow so am hoping they will listen to the hb, though am told they don't often try before 14 weeks??

PM - A pink one Lovely.

Not sure if we will find out the sex with this one. I do know I'll be happy with either. There was a time I really badly wanted a dd but after all our problems having no. 2, I think we would be rather cheeky to hanker after a particular sex.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend My headache is finally fading so hopefully a nice one for me too

erhianj · 13/03/2009 18:42

Congratulations paranoidmummy! I cant wait to find out the 'flavour'! Alot of people seem to think I'm mad wanting to know, but I think it might be a nice bonding thing!

purplecrazyhorse!! pity I'm no good with a needle!!
