The other thread was too long and wouldn't let me add a new message.

I am 8+3 and as my previous m/c's have been at 9 weeks.

OP posts:

Take care of yourself allgoingsouth

StealthPolarBear · 21/02/2009 09:24

allgoingsouth, I'm so sorry. How far along were you? I can't imagine how hard it must be, please look after yourself xx

audreyraines · 21/02/2009 09:26

i'm sorry allgoingsouth. please take care of yourself and let everyone take care ofyou too.

ladylush · 21/02/2009 10:09

Lix - fantastic news. Congratulations
I had a mc end November and got pg straight
after the ERPC so I think after mc can be a
good time to conceive.

Allgoingsouth - my heart goes out to you I've been through it 4 times myself. Take care of yourself

ladylush · 21/02/2009 10:15

Bobber - thanks for info I think you can say where you got something from as you're not advertising for that person - just passing on info. The price you paid seems quite good. I googled and the cheapest I saw was £25 without gel - though the site said no gel needed.......+ think I might have some love lube lying around somewhere

How many weeks were you when you started using it? I'm 10+3 and hoping it would work by 11 weeks (by which time it will arrive if ordered Mon). Was going to see how the scan goes on Monday first, then order afterwards.

I empathise with your nuchal fears. I'm no spring chicken either (37) plus I read that subchorionic haematomas can give false positives in the triple test. However, my main concern is actually getting to that 12 week stage. I'm so near but feel so far.

AprilMeadow · 21/02/2009 11:13

Congratulations lixanismapolium on your great news!

Allgoingsouth am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please take care and rest as much as you can x

Good to see you back TrixieVix. I think you should take off as much time as you need and then if possible ease your way back into work, there is no point in going back in before you are ready or straight back full time if it is going to put you back to square one.

Got my scan date through this morning for the 6th March, i should be 12+5 by then.

It looks like spring is on its way judging by the beautiful sunshine we have here. Fingers crossed for more of it

Snowfalls108 · 21/02/2009 11:51

Fab. Just opened my post and I won 2 tickets for the baby show next weekend!

AprilMeadow · 21/02/2009 12:17

Well done Snowfalls! What day are you going? I am going with a friend on Saturday.

Snowfalls108 · 21/02/2009 12:44

Think Sunday. Let me know if there's any must sees.

AprilMeadow · 21/02/2009 13:13

Will do!

TigerFeet · 21/02/2009 15:26

Allgoingsouth, I'm so sorry to hear your news

Always good to hear more good scan results - only 1 week and 5 days until mine!

I'm sat here chuckling at the facial hair discussions I have the beginnings of a glorious tache - if I don't keep it in check I may end up looking like Freddie Mercury! I don't really talk about such things in RL but somehow telling a load of strangers on t'internet is completely painless . Did anyone else get chloasma with previous pregnancies? I did and it made the tache a thousand times worse! I also had panda eyes. I do not do dignified, blooming pregnancies!

HG is rearing its head today after a better few days. I think it could be reaction to all the shenanigans with dh - who incidentally is improving daily thankfully, albeit with the help of some rather strong painkillers. The initial dx was wrong in the end, he has torn or herniated intercostal muscles rather than the clots - painful but not life threatening.

I'm going back to work on Monday, I only work three days a week anyway so we'll see how I get on. I only managed two days in the office out of the past 5 weeks but I think that if I could survive this week then I can probably manage my desk job.

WantedToBeABoy · 21/02/2009 16:25

Hello ladies

Haven't been on here for a while but good to read everyone's news - sorry to hear about anyone who's been having problems and stress.

How are other people finding it in terms of getting a bit bloaty? I'm 11+3 now, and feel like I'm chubbing up a bit, plus being annoyingly constipated. I can't work out if it's sprog-related or just too many bags of worcester-sauce flavoured French Fries when that was all I fancied eating! (Thankfully the stage of going off random foods seems to have passed now - I can have cheese in my sandwiches again, hurrah!)

Is everyone else still their usual size, or are there ominous signs of enlargement? ;)

JRocks · 21/02/2009 16:39

Tigerfeet I've had huge issues with Chloasma - I look ridiculous once I've been out in the sun. My friends swear they can't see anything but in all photos I look moustachio'd

TigerFeet · 21/02/2009 16:58

Moustachio'd panda is not a good look is it? I was hideously swollen too. WHY OH WHY am I doing this again

Thusnelda · 21/02/2009 17:52

Because a child is for life and pregnancy is just for Christmas. Or something like that.

Thusnelda · 21/02/2009 17:56

Not sure about Chloasma - probably a bit early - but I thought I spotted two rather large new moles on my back the other day. I've got hundreds in all shapes and sizes, I think I will have them all looked at again. It's a bit difficult to decide in the mirror whether they look dodgy or not and my boyfriend hasn't got a clue.

peachygirl · 21/02/2009 18:53

Hi all, and welcome to the new ladies.
All is well here , I saw my other antenatal friends today and told them and another is due on the 1st sept too!!

I resisted a Mcdonalds yesterday telling myself it was not good for DD (who has only ever had one so far)
My booking in appointment has been moved and id now in week 11. It looks good though as I may be able to arrange the majority of my appointments for days when I am not at work.

ladylush · 21/02/2009 21:53

I've got colostrom and I'm only 10+3

mummyhill · 21/02/2009 22:40

Ladylush - It's not unusual when you have thyroid problems love. I leak a bit earlier than most as well because of it!

Thanks for info mummyhill - I didn't know that! Stayfrosty - am interested that you are getting scanned as part of your endocrinology check up. I'm seeing the endo next week but I don't think they'll be scanning me. Mind you, I've been scanned 3 times already at EPU and have another tomorrow.

When I saw my G.P she said I won't be seen after the booking in appt/nuchal scan until I'm 22 weeks Is this standard? I'm sure I saw a midwife more often than this when pg with ds.

erhianj · 22/02/2009 12:25

Hi all! mind if I join ? I am 27 and 10+5 with my first, very exited and very, very sick!! Anyone else spend most of their time lying in bed not able to move because of the sickness? Or am I just a wuss?!!
AprilMeadow my scan is also on the 6/3/09 - I should be 12+3 - cannot wait, in a nervous sort of way! Will not be able to get a pic though as the hospital do not do pics until 20 wks,so DH is going to try and take a sneaky photo of the screen!

bobber · 22/02/2009 13:07

So sorry to hear your news allgoingsouth. Take very good care of yourself.

Ladylush - I got my doppler from Access Diagnostics & used a 5% off code that I found on a search. I wouldnt bother with the 'lube' like you said - I've actually since read you can you anything that has some slip to it, like Bio oil etc. I first heard the heartbeat at 11 1/2weeks , but read some hear it earlier with that particular model.

Stayfrosty - that sounds good treatment in your area for your hypo. I was told I would see an endo, but not heard diddly or even seen my consultant for my supposed high risk pregnancy yet?! Ive been chasing & chasing but got nowhere

Welcome erhianj & congrats!

ladylush · 22/02/2009 13:19

Thanks bobber My original appt with endo was for end april but I complained and it was b/fwd to next week.
