Nothing happening here
Come on people- where are the rest of the babies?

fourlittlefeet · 23/01/2009 11:08

taps fingers... tree, we are waiting! put down that newborn and post!!!

missjackson · 23/01/2009 11:14

Yes very quiet! That's cos nearly everyone has had their babies leaving only a few of us STILL WAITING. Can't wait to hear from tree and rray - last we heard she was off to the midwife with her pad as evidence, so no doubt it was her waters, and they kept her in to go from there....

Chefswife I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already!

Well, doesn't look like my acupuncture did much good. The baby was really quiet yesterday, and I thought, maybe he's gearing up to make a move, and once again couldn't sleep last night, but nothing...

qumps · 23/01/2009 11:17

still no news from tree and ray? god you would think they were busy giving birth or something......

oh dear books [plus one being nosey from due in sept cos missing preg and labour business]

Why not induction? I was induced with ds2 and it was fab. They started me at 9am, broke waters 2.45, had him 6.45pm, great because I didnt miss a nights sleep so felt reatively normal!! Unlike ds1- broke waters 9pm (contractions anyway but baby distressed) had him 1.45pm the next day!! Things may happen anyway before then

books - look at it another way - your DC will arrive safe and well, you aren't going to have to labour , recovery a bit longer but DC safe and well....

fymandwhenisthisbabycoming · 23/01/2009 14:00

rray - definitely waters - hope you're ok...

my midwife appt today - head is 2/5's so am pretty much fully engaged! back is now facing the right way which is what the midwife thought those awful pains were on Monday (which makes sense)...

she also thinks LO is big but we'll see soon I guess!

Don't even mention Feb to me fym! Psychologically I have always been having a January baby as my EDD was 18th, but at this rate, I guess Feb could be on the cards after all.

Books sorry to hear about C-section but I am sure in a week or so when you have your LO in your arms you won't care how they came out.

OH took me off for a ride on the quad bike around the farm this afternoon in an effort to bump the baby into action... but nothing. Def less movements though - maybe I should call the midwife? He was very quiet yesterday too - still feeling movements every few hours, but just seems slower...

Have my first sweep booked for Sunday so hopefully that will do the trick if there's no action before then.

hkz · 23/01/2009 16:23

Books- Hope you are feeling a bit better, sorry about your c-section, but as everyone else says, you will have your new baby in your arms on Tuesday

FYM- Good news baby is the right way

MissJ- Quad bike!! If that doesn't get him moving nothing will! I would call the midwife just to put your mind at rest.

Dog- Glad you are feeling better. Exciting about the birthpool...It was really nice floating around in it between contractions...think I looked like a giant hippo wallowing!

Still sending lots of positive labour vibes your way to all those waiting....

fymandwhenisthisbabycoming · 23/01/2009 16:36

well I have to say me too - although my EDD is 28th, I didn't go over with my DS so am 'expecting' a Jan baby IYSWIM! it would be really funny to have him in Feb!

fourlittlefeet · 23/01/2009 17:05

Books - any chance you can try and get some high level acupuncture to shift the baby before the section. I know exactly how you must be feeling.
