Lol...well I'm not going to get one even though McD's is actually in walking distance (assuming I can get up the hill that we live at the bottom of)..I'll make some hamburgers for supper though I think.
I'm going to have a fishstick sandwich I think... with some grapes, an apple and an orange and a big glass of chocolate milk...

PuzzleRocks · 15/01/2009 13:05

Euurgh Conker, MacDonalds is gross. I have been a paragon of virtue this morning. Only half a (very large) packet of rich tea biscuits and two toffees on top of a big breakfast and lunch.

Nutty, you are so right. DH and I get one whenever we go into town. Mmmm.

BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 13:27

I wasn't even hungry until I came on MN and now I could eat anything in sight - the 2 pieces of toast I just had will not suffice! I blame you conker!!! mmm for burgers.... cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and onion!!!!

Quick update before I run in to my meetings (bit of a me post coming really!)

  • Going to ask my MW if she will change my dates for the grant as I was originally due on the 5th so worth a try!

_ Nutty your bump is lovely - still so not putting one of mine on - and still refusing to have any pregnancy photos done at all!

  • Pain is still there, not sharp pain, just constant aches really which is irritating but not anything that is preventing me from carrying on my usual day-to-day activities - have check up next week tho and antenatal class so will check it out then.
  • So tired at the moment, work is manic and having bouts of insomnia from about 2-3.30 when I could just throttle DH for his deep breathing / snoring and weird sleep noises (then remember that I love him and can't kill him - although he was the one that got me in this situation in the first place and he is sleeping like a baby!!!!) I feel like I am in a constant state of sleep and my face is all over-tired puffy and bed hair which let me tell you - is ATTRACTIVE!!!!
  • Re food, past couple of days have been really off my food, eating but only things like bowl of cereal for breakfast, piece of toast for dinner, crisps (always skips or quavers!!!) on way home from work and half a jacket potato for dinner - having said that I have already eaten that today so thinking have gone past that phase now...
  • DH loves the Moffi / amby cradle so think we are going to purchase (but that will probably mean I don't get the bloom high chair I want but at £300 it is probably a bit extravagant [hmmm] Wish I was as artistic as you Frekkles and could make some more.

I have been ok with maternity clothes, spent about £65 on them in total so not to worried and don't plan to get anything else other than some decent maternity bras.

very quick question, re boob leakage, mine is still like clear sticky liquid - is that right (all the talk of milk made me think it should be more milk in colour IYKWIM??!!)

Anyway hope you are all having good days.

Can't remember who said it but I WANT A FAB - not sure my bosses will go for it tho!!

Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it. My bum and thighs beg of you!!!!

PuzzleRocks · 15/01/2009 13:30

BabyBolat - I have just looked on your profile and I refuse to believe you look anything other than fabulous.

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 13:34

Lol

almost better then sexy dreams I think..

Should I be worried that I've not had any leakage yet out of the boobs? Everyone keeps asking, but I've not... I do have a v. small bit of dried/crusty deposits (TMI for around lunchtime??) on the nipples now and again..but nothing else...

BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 13:37

Puzzle really my bottom and thighs have rejected pregnancy in true dimply fashion!!

puzzlerocks - i know they are gross but just now and again do you not really fancy one? i get a craving (whether pg or not) about once every 6 months.

gave in to it today and had a very little cheeseburger and medium fries. i have no will power.

we've all seen your pics now babybolat, so i also refuse to believe that you look anything other than gorgeous.

i have pains too - thought it might be the start of spd cause its right at the front pelvisy bit but hasnt got any more painful over the last few weeks - just sore when i walk/get up/turn over etc.

probably is a good idea not to kill dh babybolat - he might come in useful when you are up feeding in the night, and he can take lo for a while in the early morning and let you sleep.

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 13:42

i'm eating a really lovely apple... (to offset the pies and chips and things)

conkertree · 15/01/2009 13:45

talking of leaky boobs - i had them right from about 20 weeks last time, but nothing so far this time.

was still bfeeding when i got pg though so maybe they are having a well earned rest before starting up the milk making again.

i remember expressing in the first few days after ds was born cause he took a while to want food, and the colostrum was really interesting to watch changing from the yellowy thick sticky substance to more milky looking milk so guess its really colostrum they are making just now.

SpringySunshine · 15/01/2009 13:48

Nutty, your bump is lovely! It looks really cute! Mine looks like someone stuck a large beachball up my top - yours looks really elegant & right!

conker, definitely post your bump - I'm sure it's not flabby at all!

Puzzle, you've really made me laugh again with your Kermit / Miss Piggy impersonations. I think you should film & YouTube it

BabyBolat, don't talk rubbish. I bet you still look gorgeous. & I'm sure your bump does, too. Pregnancy is the most natural thing - how bad can it look, ladies?

Boobs - mine varies. It often starts as the clear, sticky liquid but if I keep squeezing (especially in the shower, where it's warm) it turns a yellowy colour - when that mixes with the clear stuff it goes more milky in colour. (I squeeze it out in the shower to prevent leaking during the day, not entirely because I'm disgusting ). Some people don't even get any colostrum until they give birth anyway, I don't think. I definitely wouldn't worry

I have had leaky boobs from really early on but has always been the same clear stuff - am tempted to just sit and squeeze to see if any colour comes out but that would be bad!!!

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 13:49

right I'm stuffed now - literally and figuratively I suppose you could say - that should last me about 2 hours...If I'm lucky.

SpringySunshine · 15/01/2009 13:51

Arrrrgh, you all talk so fast! So many cross posts!

I was a MacDonald's fiend at the start of the pregnancy - the fries... Oh God, the fries...

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 13:52

Nutty you are a temptress!

Once had my parents freeze doughnuts and bring them with when they came to visit...They still tasted super fresh by the time I got them ..Heaven help me...

SpringySunshine · 15/01/2009 13:52

Nutty, it has to be Krispy Kreme! I swear they put something addictive in those things. It's impossible to ever just eat one. Although DP once at 27 of them in one go. That was a bit gross even by my standards.

BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 13:53

I have been a bit of a beef fiend, love mince of any kind - cottage pie, lasagne, spag bog, home made beef burgers hmmmmm - well that has made a decision on what I am having for dinner tonight!!!
