treedelivery · 27/12/2008 18:45

Lets bugger the lot of em and we'll elope to a spa!

Spink · 27/12/2008 18:52

you two should get a room!
moose, you've been warned before about apologising for a vent!! you're totally entitled to feel stressed out and frustrated by this stuff. Christmas is harsh for family dynamics at the best of times, let alone when you're knackered at the end of pg AND you've been through harsh illness with ds.. both the festive season and the pg are nearly over though. phew. and hopefully your ds's cold will stay small and weedy.

treedelivery, I've posted something unspeakable on your other thread.

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 18:56

Seen it! Not sooooo unspeakable. Mine out grosses yours I think. That might be the next thread - who has the grimest...er....well yes will leave that there.

We should get a room moose - we could sleep in it!

Spink · 27/12/2008 19:01

makes dh shudder... mine not yours!!! I mean I expected it AFTER labour, not now!
Could be worse. they could be on your eyelids..

Kittenpaws · 27/12/2008 19:08

Hi, just dropping in to say baby Susanna was born on the 22nd weighing 7lbs - shes doing really well.
Was an elective section -by far the easiest of my 3 - got to the hospital at 7.30 and she was born a couple of hours later - a very calm and stress free experience. Having had an emergency section and vbac with tear this one has been the easiest to recover from so far. We got home from the hospital on Tues afternoon - managed to stay in less then 36 hours which was fantastic as you really don't get any rest on the ward.
Then had a great Christmas at home, I lay on the sofa and let my family do everything except feed the baby!
Have to go now as she wants feeding - will catch up on the rest of the chat later - hope everyone is doing well

moosemama · 27/12/2008 19:21

Ah yes! A nice quiet room with soft fluffy duvets and lovely soft mattress toppers - and absolutely no snoring DHs! Oh yes and a spa downstairs of course!

kittenpaws many congratulations on the arrival of little Susanna. Great to hear another positive birth story.

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 19:27

qumps · 27/12/2008 20:38

rrrayray · 27/12/2008 20:48

kittenpaws Congratulations!!!

moose SO know what you mean about it being lonley in the middle of the night when your wide awake but SOOOO tired and wanting to sleep!

Feeling rubbish this evening, Ear still a total blockage, and just feel odd. Am in bed going to try and sleep. Imagine going to sleep and waking up in the morning, no loo trips, no tossing and turning. Bliss. shame its not a reality heavily pregnant!!!!

happyathome · 27/12/2008 20:48

oh you poor lot.hope you all get some relief soon!!.
get some Schweppes Indian tonic water down you.I think it may have cured my restless legs.Had a can a day(bit bitter so i put ribena in it).Couple of nights didn't have it and legs were back!.
I've another stinking virus that kicked off Xmas eve and so pretty horizontal since then.
Dratted third trimester eh?!.Got consultant on tuesday morning to discuss bump again and possible induction.Think i will be begging for it.Can't believe i've got to 37+3 with polyhydramnios.Want birth badly next week.So can't cope now.
Congrats Kittenpaws...great news about Susanna.
hugs and healing dust to you all.
x

moosemama · 27/12/2008 21:02

I actually have a remedy for restless legs but haven't needed it for a few weeks so hadn't taken it last night.

It's to take a glass of milk, a banana and a measure of floradix about an hour before going to bed. Worked wonders when I had restless legs for a few weeks a while back. Will be making damn sure I have it tonight though!

Hope it works for feeling restless all over!

fourlittlestockingedfeet · 27/12/2008 21:17

congratulations kittenpaws!!

fourlittlestockingedfeet · 27/12/2008 21:18

It just occured to me; is there a postnatal Jan 09 thread for you lot yet? If so, lets put the link on here so migrating mums know where to go!

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 21:22

Was wondering how that happened? Does someone just start one?

kayzr · 27/12/2008 21:42

Hello,

Just to let you know that NatalieJane has had her little boy. He is called Mikey and was born about an hour ago. He is small but not worryingly small.

Hope you all enjoy your babies/rest of your pregnanices. My DS2 is 15 days old and believe me its so worth it!

Good luck and a happy new year!

treedelivery · 27/12/2008 21:47

Going to be more activity on a postnatal thread than an antenatal one soon!! And it's not January yet!

Many many congrats and welcome Mikey!

elkiedee · 28/12/2008 00:23

Congratulations kittenpaws and Natalie Jane

Shanster · 28/12/2008 03:03

Congrats kittenpaws and NJ!! Good to hear there are some babies being born!!!
Treedelivery - good luck with your last shift, I felt great when I had finally finished work...although now I am contemplating doing a few hours next week for some extra cash. Wouldn't be as stressful though, just some paperwork catch up.
Am trying a bizarre combo of natural induction methods today - spent a few hours cleaning, then had a good long walk, had spicy indian food for dinner and am now sipping raspberry leaf tea...who knows, it's worth a try!!
