Just popping into bath in sympathy. Will be here till 4.30 so she's better have popped by then
I must say it really does bring it all back...

storkycake · 12/12/2008 11:56

Right well I lost in the time stakes, but maybe I'll get the weight right.

Where do you reckon she is atm...am thinking about 6cm.

This is too much excitement for so many pregnant ladies.

It doesn't feel like it was 2 minutes we were all temping and testing does it? Now here we are welcoming the first baby

storkycake · 12/12/2008 11:57

I know Diege...I was just thinking that myself....birth ball....panic at the intensity...breaking waters...pushing!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:03

Back from Osteo... relieved no news yet...

phew....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:05

ooh hi Kooky great to see you here!

storkycake · 12/12/2008 12:05

My appt is this afternoon Gyo and I neeeeeeed it.

How did it go?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:07

no more news yet.... dont wanna pester her too much mid-labour for newsfeeds.... wondering how long i should leave it till my next 'check-up'???

Talking to her about ideas for what to do to ease the pain brought it all back for me!! I'm thinking in 16-18 weeks that'll be me doing it all over again!!!

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:10

Hi Sorky, it was good, the weirdness that was causing me pain last week is much better now and my hips werent half as wonky as before but still got discomfort in all areas so will see her again next week...

Has your pain come back since you last appt then?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:10

oh thats something she said, she's worried about her waters just going and messing the floor, with my Hb mine went while i was on the loo (lucky me i know!!) so i said to get a towel down on the chair/couch where she'll be sitting, one where she's standing up contracting, and set up the bed.... anything else she'll need to get her DH to do that i didn't mention?? apart from get a towel on the radiator for baby, but sure the MW will tell them that near delivery....

Playingthe9monthwait · 12/12/2008 12:10

mmmmmm, champagne .

It does really feel like yesterday we were all waiting or just starting ttc doesnt it? I can't believe we are going to have our first wagon baby!!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:13

Its very odd thinking when Kay was only in the early stages I was still ttc!! I feel like i'm so far into my pregnancy now... and she's giving birth!! amazing!!

OP posts:
storkycake · 12/12/2008 12:17

Tell her to squat, if she can, over the towels, it'll speed up the labour and push the baby down onto the cervix. Hurts like F*%£, but very effective.

I went to a party with the kids on Wednesday, Dh drove, but it was all a bit too much.

Then out of guilt I drove the kids one mile to Art club the next day and boy am I paying for it! Any hopes I had of going back to work are out for the moment.
I'm really hoping he can fix me again and I won't be so stupid next week

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:20

There's so many bits of advice flying round, I feel we could start a "Little Wagon Book of Advice for ttc, pregnancy and labour"
We could all make a fortune

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:22

ouch sounds really painful sorky!

Ses- great idea about the advice... I will definately need it when its my turn...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:23

have just passed on the message storky!!

OP posts:
SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:23

That's what I was thinking myself GYo!!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:26

My Mum phoned about 20 mins ago to see how I was. She asked at one point "Is there anything you're in the middle of?" Didn't know how to explain:
"YES!! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for updates on this lovely girl I've never met other than on MN (quick explanation of MN for Mum which would probably take 15 mins), she's in labour and it's really important"

I just tried to say everything was fine and nothing much happening!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/12/2008 12:29

Whoooo hoooo am so glad I haven't missed anything, mum has just left and I couldn't have spent her last couple of hours sat on the computer, but have been itching to get on here!

C'mon baby Kay, get massaging with the clary sage as well, will make contractions more intense but should strengthen them as well.

Where's those brownies?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:29

haha- ses you wanna see the looks DH gives me when i say 'oh XXX from the wagon was doing XXX today, wonder how it went' sort of thing... he can't understand it himself!! being a SAHM this is most of my adult interaction- keeps me sane!!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/12/2008 12:31

LOL I don't even have to say MN or wagon or anything to DH, just "so and so was doing xyz on there today" and he knows.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:32

They just don't quite get it do they?! I know when I was waiting for news of NJ the other week when she was in and out of hospital, DH asked what I was doing and I told him and he just looked at me as if I was completely mad to be worried about all these people that I've never met!

Mum would just be worried about me talking to "strangers" on t'internet though.
She still worries even though I met DH on the internet. Maybe that's why she still worries???!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:34

LOL glask, glad its just me. I've given up referencing Wagon excitement. DH thinks im bonkers.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:35

DH's and the internet- I didn' really use the PC before havign DD, then DH introduced me to ebay, then i started browsign and found MN... He thinks i'm an addict- and its all his fault!!haha!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:38

Your DH is cool thou Glask as he came online and posted when you were in hospital. That was impressive!
