i'm feeling so drained still, and really tired but i dont wanna leave the pc.... or my phone!! I really feel i need a nap to make it till DH is home and i have to cook tea (even thought i'm just doing a stir fry) also need to bath and bed the kids after that too.... dont think i'll last without a rest- but dont wanna miss anything!! what do i do??????

Playingthe9monthwait · 12/12/2008 12:39

I'm the same about talking about all you guys. DH isn't too bad about getting it, in fact I know he will sometimes lurk on MN, so does "get it" a bit. He would come on here to find out stuff though (e.g what pushchair) not to chat.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:42

I'll be here if you want me to text you Glask?
Either that or slob out and lurk and eat all those wispas to give you energy! I could even send you a few mars bars as my supplies haven't been depleted since Saturday!
After my bath I weighed myself and I've lost 6lb since I last weighed myself about 2 weeks ago. I'm sure it's all gone since Sunday. Just need to feel like eating again now and then I can start stuffing my face again!
I'm going to try some fish fingers for lunch so fingers crossed they stay put...

Anyway Kay - no update??!! Anyone would think you were busy!!?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:44

yeah he had a piece of paper with instructions on passwords, usernames etc so he could access the boards!! But he managed.... i think without the instructions he'd have given up- he's very good with a PC but can't be doing with the in and out of pages and threads etc... patience of a man as i call it!!

He is very understanding about my MN addiction I suppsoe.... just in his own way!! when he asks me to start going to MNAA (Mumsnat Addicts Anonymous) then i'll worry!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 12:46

I've had loads of time for MNing in evenings and as DH has been busy studying every night. After xmas when he is finished I might get withdrawal symptoms if I cant get my evening MN fix! Thank god mat leave isnt far away after that!

Go rest Glask, reckon you can get at least an hour before anything major happens.

storkycake · 12/12/2008 12:47

Right have made lunch for baby, mine is in cooking.

Really need a bath, but will wait until after lunch I think.

I'm trying very hard to stay off MN. So far I have played with baby, he has 'helped' me with the washing. Stripped a sofa and now washing/drying covers. Rubbish/recycling/composting/post sorting all done.
Tidied, vacuumed, wiped & scrubbed all downstairs. Have put all the baubles back on the tree .
Just have the floors to wash really.

Upstairs is upside down though, loads of washing to put away etc.

Has Kay replied telling me to feck off yet Glas?

I think once you reach about 7cm dilated you get into that 'zone' where you don't have any choice but to go with it. It becomes a lot more flowing and autopilot around about then iirc.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:47

well i will set my phone on loud, and will be straight back on if i hear anything... and if Kay comes online first then please do text me Ses!!

I'm off- going to have a few grapes then lie down on the couch!! DS is going to bed to watch a video and have a nap, and DD will go in her buggy in the living room so i'm sorted really!!

Be back later!!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:49

Ok Glask! Will text you asap if anything happens but I think GYo is right and you can probably get an hour's nap in.

Playingthe9monthwait · 12/12/2008 12:49

aaaah, I have to go into a meeting. I bet everythign happens when I am not here

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/12/2008 12:49

no reply since my squatting recomendation from you storky- i'm thinking it's getting close if she's not replying.... she was before!!

anyway i AM off now!!

Impressed with your housework Storky! Esp hoovering... that leave me in agony usually!

2beautifulgalsandasnowglobe · 12/12/2008 12:56

Coffee and french fancie anyone? i've got to go out for a few hours around 2pm, would someone be kind enough to text me if the baby arrives?

largeginandtonic · 12/12/2008 12:59

Remember this Nat?

Oh Kay sweetie it is hell on earth, i have huge sympathy for you. You are doing a spectacular job and he will be in your arms before you know it. Deep breathing and loose lips (mouth you dirty lot) it really helps open up and relax you.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 12:59

I don't mind being on text duty for people if you want to email me your mobile nos... My email is [email protected]

2beautifulgalsandasnowglobe · 12/12/2008 13:00

thanks ses- emailing you now

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/12/2008 13:08

How dare DS2 demand play time while we're all in virtual labour? How long will ITNG last him d'ya think?

Reality birthing is not on my list of nice things to think about, not at this stage, can you believe up until about 2 weeks ago I was actually looking forward to giving birth? I must be totally insane.... It's quite funny actually how quickly you go from thinking "yeah sure a couple of hours of very hurty but then oh so worth it" to "fuckkkkkkkkkkkkk I don't want to be in labour again!!!"

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 13:10
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/12/2008 13:12

LOL Sorry GYo. It's fineeeeee, honest, couple of hours of very hurty but it's oh sooooo worth it, honest, did I say that?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/12/2008 13:12

Did I back pedal quick enough?

storkycake · 12/12/2008 13:14

My god it's hurts!

Gyo I have hard wood floors and a cylinder cleaner, it's the easiest job in the world.

Drop your shoulders Kay and breeeeeeeathe!!

You are doing really well

lastboxoftampons · 12/12/2008 13:15

Ooooh, excitement! I'm sure to miss the final moments as I've gotten roped into the staff panto this afternoon ( don't ask!) but will make a guess anyway:

Storky - 11.00 - 11.30 (8lb8)
SparklyLaTour - 11.30 - 12.00 (8lb)
Ses - 11.30 - 12.00 (8lb4)
2BG - 12.00- 12.30 (8lb5)
Star - 12.30 - 13.00 (8lbs)
LG&T - 13.00 - 13.30 (7lb12)
Glaskham - 13.30 - 14.00 (7lbs13)
Diege - 14.00 - 14.30 (7lb11)
GYO - 15.00 - 15.30 (7lb5)
Tink - 15.00 - 15.30 (8lbs12)
Cosmo - 15.30 - 16.00 (7lb 8)
LBOT - 16.00 - 16.30 (8lb 2oz)

Good luck, Kay! Keep hanging in there! {{{{easy labor vibes}}}} (although probably already too late! )

2beautifulgalsandasnowglobe · 12/12/2008 13:16

I feel exactly the same as you NJ, was really looking forward to the birth until this morning, now Kay is in Labour, i have become all nervous
But do agree definately definately worth it.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 12/12/2008 13:16

LOL its ok.. am in denial about hurty bits

Aside from the labour excitement... I've got massive rage with Citilink deliveries. Was due a parcel tuesday, was in all day, watching window etc and driver didnt knock hard on door or try very hard and went away having left a card (dont think she knocked at all...)

Redelivery for today- DH saw driver parked up 3 doors down, rang me (he was on way out) and said be ready! Never showed up....

Rang up and apparently they arrived and left a card and knocked... Impossible as I was stood there with door open! Am furious- been waiting for 5 days for amazon parcel that I paid special delivery for soo I could get on tuesday.

Phew rant over....

storkycake · 12/12/2008 13:18

Do you think it's lucky to be born in a full moon?

storkycake · 12/12/2008 13:19

Gyo, that's bloody disgraceful. Ring them and tell them you stood at the door, watched her pull up and then drive off again without delivering the parcel.
