Hugo normal now... Oh yes he is fine

I love the name Gabriel. I would have had it for one of the boys but with dd being called Seraphim i think we would have sunk in to the 'angel obsessive' names

I do remember thinking how bizzare as he twitched about and asking the midwife if it was ok. It all just vanished though

largevirginbirthandtonic · 19/12/2008 10:04

Ses i know Farnam has a fantastic maternity posh dress shop you can hire or buy from. I looked there when i was off to a ball while pregnant with Beau. They are online too.

Google it and see!

Oooh this is gorgeous! Might not be such a gorgeous price though at £160... Will keep looking (or saving!)

Right must go!

sorkycake · 19/12/2008 10:07

Ses that's the dress I had in mind for Dh's black tie 'do' in January, but it's not going ahead anymore! There were some on ebay, you could try there for it a bit cheaper.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 19/12/2008 10:12

They are Jacob Henry and Samuel Joseph(twins) Seraphim Tabitha, Jonah James, Hugo Rafferty Peter and Beau Oscar.

Jury out on the next one...

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 19/12/2008 10:14

have found out that there is a lascal buggy board that fits the quinny.
dd will be 3.5 years end of feb she is very small for her age only in 18-24 month clothes.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 19/12/2008 10:14

Ses that dress is lovely, i would deffo search for it on ebay, my Isabella one came from there still with original packaging amnd immaculate for half the price!

Farnham in Surrey btw not Farnam

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 10:36

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 10:41

Havent got the need for a formal dress though

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/12/2008 10:58

Morning

Gruff those celebrations are making me hungry.. love them but I'd have no control if I had a big tin! Yum!

Today Im working at home but have far too much work to do sadly. And I've got to go and see the Osteopath at 2.30....

Ses- lovely dress on IO! But ccome to farnham and look in the hire shop! Then Gruff and I can come and meet you there for coffee or nice creamy hot choc!

I've just bought a dress from seraphine here for my 1st wedding annivesary dinner.... think I might eBay it afterwards

Hi everyone else

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/12/2008 11:03

Could go and try them on though Gruff!

though when i tried on my dress on tuesday I felt huge and frumpy....think I need to get out of my maternity jeans more often!

lastboxoftampons · 19/12/2008 11:45

Ooooh, pretty dresses! Would love to have somewhere fancy to go with a bump but not likely to happen. Hmmm...maybe DH's half sister will get engaged for Christmas!

Lovely names G&T and sorky

Managed to get through staff Christmas lunch only having had a few sips of mulled wine and a half a small glass of red - even though it was lovely wine!

A good friend of mine called me last night to tell me she's expecting She's gone through a bit of a nightmare, TTC for about two years, so I'm so pleased for her! and then had to tell her about us because I couldn't not! The amount of people who know is steadily growing! We were supposed to keep quiet to everyone but family until 12 weeks! Strangely DH is telling lots of people Slightly annoying, but really cute too!

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 12:16

hi LBOX!

Hey Gyo thats a fab idea! Im def up for a nice coffee in Farnham. Ive atually just realised that I have a wedding a month before my due date I wonder if they need a marquee

i got some cute dresses for LO in tesco in sale last night! i cant stop looking at them

LOL at celebrations - its just a normal box size but i have munched through half.

here we are gyo you can have these

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/12/2008 12:20

Hello

Tink they've told us if he was still breech at 39 weeks it'd have been a CS. It's still not ruled out, he was deffo transverse last night again, but he has gone back head down today, just hoping he'll stay there, or at least keep going back head down in time for the induction!

Kay, sorry I didn't reply to text, but you're more than welcome Hoping you did have a good night last night

All these lovely dresses, I am as well!

Went for the trace this morning, his HB is too fast again, they umm'ed and arrr'ed about having to repeat the trace this afternoon but then decided it was OK and I could keep an eye on it at home (strange how they first ignored my doppler, but now it saves them a job it's OK!) They did a quick scan and he was happy, movements were fine so just got to keep an eye on things, and go back in Tuesday for hopefully the final trace.

She said he is just starting to settle into the pelvis, I am fairly certain he has been in and out of it for the last couple of weeks though, one minute lots of low pressure, the next back to the heart burn and bits in ribs thing, so we shall see!

Can't believe this time next week xmas will be over, we'll be eating cold turkey with everything, and waiting to go to the hospital to have a baby. You'd have thought that by a third induction I'd have gotten my head around the having a date and time thing, but it still seems so strange to know when he will be coming, or at least know it won't go any further than the weekend after next.

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 12:20

LOL LBox - it was same with us but the other way around. I was telling everyone and DH kept quiet til 12 weeks. It is a very exciting time!

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 12:25

Hi NJ,

Glad that baby is happy and movements ok etc. Hope he keeps that head down for you!Have you expained to him he needs to cooperate? It might help

It is very exciting knowing that baby NJ will be out very soon! The third wagon baby

We should get wagon t-shirts printed off for LO's and have their rank no. printed on too Oh maybe that is going a bit far

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/12/2008 12:32

Ah, there is time for Tink and LG&T to get in there first yet! Just because you tell her to stay put till the tree's down, doesn't mean she's going to stay there!!

kayzr · 19/12/2008 12:47

Hello,

Nat, Glad you got the message. I did wonder as I sent a few to my mum which she still hasn't recieved. Stupid phone!!

Sorky and LG&T, I love your DCs names!! Sorky I am so jealous of India. I really wanted to call DS2 India if he was a girl. MIL looked like she was going to chop my head of when I told her. That or Indigo.

Feeding is going ok. Still not got the hang of doing what MW said. I have to let him feed for 15 minutes on one side then take him off and make him go on the other side. But he ususally just goes to sleep. But if I leave him on he will normally stay on for an hour.

MW is coming today but god knows when. They never give a bloody time. So I have to sit in all day. We want to take DS1 to the park today but I probably wont be able to go.

I am worried about how much he will weigh. I'm really scared they will make me FF if he hasn't put weight back on.

I am so sorry for the long rambling ME post.

I really hope everyone is ok. Not long now Nat!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/12/2008 13:03

afternoon... been pretty busy here... i dotn even know what i've been busy with but i haven't stopped since my post this morning!! I've hoovered all downstairs, blitzed the kitchen, done 2 loads of washing (bedding day), 3rd load in now... got DS from nursery, had lunch... cleaned and changed cats litter trays, put loads of clothes away etc... done a fair bit feally, but still doesn't feel like i've 'done' anything IYKWIM??

My parents and sisters are comign round this afternoon, sister wont be able to see DS for his bday on sunday so is bringing his present today... and mum has got me a highchair for baby from wollies today, only cost her £8... is good for us to keep handy as we'll have a chair thing that attaches to the table, but sometimes may need a highchair for if we're eating in the living room, or going out to family for tea etc...

anyway, i'm off now.. just wanted to pop in and say Hi to everyone again... probs wont be on till tomorrow now..

Kay, if you feel more comfortable keeping him on one breast at a time, do it. With DS2 we did one at a time but just made sure we took it in turns and I think that helped regulate the milk better, with DS1 I'd do the 10 mins on one side, 10 mins on the other, and I was constantly leaking out of which ever breast he wasn't on, think I spent the first two weeks just absolutely soaked because it'd fill the breast pads up in 10 minutes.

Keep an eye on the weight, but don't let them pressure you into anything you don't want to do. You have to remember that the graphs in the red books are based on FF babies, not BF. And now your milk is in he will soon put the weight on, if he isn't doing so already.

I didn't even see the message till this morning at the hospital, my sister sent a text that came through while we were waiting, took phone out of bag and there was 5 texts and 2 missed calls since yesterday!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/12/2008 13:17

oh kay (yeah i know i said i was off- got distracted) I never did feeding from each breast, both mine would just feed off one, then the next side on the next feed... i was told that the hind milk comes in after the foremilk each feed... my theory is if the hind milk is what kas all the fat etc that baby needs why offer only half a feed? surely thats not getting baby all the hind milk possible.... just my own thinking but i will add that DD lost 2lb in the first 3 days, and after that i never had a week in the first 6mths when they didn't gain at least 3lb's!!!

Hi everyone, goodness, I pop out for a bit and you all go into verbal diarrhoea!!!

Diege - good to hear from you, I was beginning to get quite worried about you, sorry you have been so poorly and hope that you continue to get better from here on.

Kay, my experience matches NJ's, Glask's and it seems, your current - DS would only have a decent feed if I fed him as much as he wanted from the first breast, which could mean he was on for up to an hour, but I did always offer the second breast whenever he finished, just to check. Sometimes he'd have a quick slurp but more often, he'd be fast asleep with a lovely full tum. Don't let them bully you into FF, just listen to your own instincts on the feeding for a couple of days and I'm sure it will all be fine.

It might be helpful for you to keep a little 'diary' of how long he feeds and at what time so you can monitor it for the next couple of days and the MW can review it again. It will be fine, and I know you don't like having your bottom welded to the couch, but its really good for you and DS2!

I've been really busy, sorting out final christmas presents and tidying, cleaning and re-organising the house ready for going away for 2 weeks over christmas. I had my stitches out yesterday and it feels soooo much better, the nurse said it looked as though they were done up too tight, which explains why it was still hurting.

I don't know when I'll be on again as we're leaving tomorrow to start our holidays...

I really hope everyone has a lovely time, Kay, Glask and NJ have my mobile number so if anything happens NJ pops can someone text me?

And last, but by no means least, Teuch! Congratulations! What a lovely early Christmas present for you

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/12/2008 14:01

I'm not intending on doing much popping, just a little bit of a shifty about and a "ooops he fell out" would be good thanks!

Have a lovely lovely holiday, and glad the stitches are out and everything's OK

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 19/12/2008 15:22
