Well done Teuch! Congratulations on the birth of your little boy
I'll keep an eye on the birth announcements for all the details

Nat think of the doughnuts as helping the LO gain a bit of weight

Nesting has kept me away from MN today

AND can I just announce that I have finally reached full blown enjoyment of my pregnancy (about blimmin' time).
I don't know what it is, but I'm very happy to be pregnant and despite being rather large, I'm enjoying every minute of it. Maybe it's the festive season doing it or maybe the fact that everything seems to be getting sorted and ready, I dunno.
Really looking forward to the birth too

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/12/2008 17:39

sorky- is it not feel-good hormones of the nesting making you feel good about the pregnancy?? I always find when on a massive nesting plough that when i see my job all finished and perfect i get 'feel-good' vibes and i feel great about the pregnancy, even if i'm still throwing up in a morning and suffering with back pains etc!!

Nat thats not good about the doughnuts- i know they dont normally have a long date on them but very bad that they were the same day as a late-evening delivery!!

Hello everybody!

Congratulations Teuch!

LOL at our mammoth list that we have on here now. Could we possibly get any more info in there?? Thanks Glask for putting my edd on it too

Thanks Gyo for the turning over advice, I will have to try that out tonight.

Sorry that you baby is being a pickle Tink - hope things are more conclusive for you tomorrow!

Sorky - glad you are enjoying your pregnancy at last! I think I might be a way off yet! I am sooooo grumpy! Although I did have very good afternoon at work which is always nice. Day off tomorrow - yay! Then last day before xmas on Monday or even!

Ok I'll stop with the waffling on now!

GruffaloSoldier · 18/12/2008 19:11

tumbleweed!

Ive just cracked open the celebrations - not good as its just me here. Eek!

kayzr · 18/12/2008 19:34

Congratulations Teuch!!!!!!!!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 18/12/2008 21:18

Teuch - fab news! Congratulations! We need details though!

Kay - glad you sound better today. Hope that's continued. You're really inspiring me to make sure I persevere with BF when my turn comes.

Tink - fingers crossed your pickle moves round!

NJ - not long now! I'm getting excited for you

kayzr · 18/12/2008 21:39

Awww thanks Ses. Thats really nice to hear. He has just fed for 55 minutes. So I am hoping for another decent night.

Star, I think it was you that asked me to be your P&T guinea pig. Its still just as FAB with DS1 and DS2 in. Most people don't know where DS2 is though. We've been asked by loads of people where he is. Which is great if you are in a rush.

sorkycake · 19/12/2008 07:41

Morning..

Glad you had a better feeding session Kayz.

Is it easy to get the baby out in the cocoon when you get home again. I've bought it thinking I won't have to disturb her or leave her in the buggy.

My thinking was I could lift out the cocoon and take her upstairs and place her in the cot whilst still asleep. Would this work d'ya think?

Tink, have they given you a plan wrt positioning of the baby by a certain date?

Glask when can I expect the Verbaudet order? I know it's Christmas so maybe there'll be delays, but normally?

Ses I just wanted to thank wrt to the matter I emailed you about. Success without drugs has been achieved!!!

I can't remember anything else, I'm in a sugary haze having just eaten 6 ferrero rocher with a cuppa at 7.15am!!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/12/2008 08:28

having presentation scan tues if midwife feels and still transverse then guess that they would tell me what the plans r next

regarding vertbaudet orders you can go into your account on website and gives you great detail as to what items have been sent.
i have 3 items still to come have most of mine think they r out of stock

Tink you need to be looking at the spinning baies website to get that girl in a good position. Are you worried at all, you sound very cool and calm about it all.

I had heard that finding a buggy board to fit on the Quinny was impossible Will dd cope with walking?

Morning all!!!

Diege hope you are resting, what a very scary thing to go through at any time let alone when you are pregnant. Lots of love to you.

Kay how is the feeding going?

Sorky are you ok now? Has the baby been behaving itself? Just to add i have had tremor type movements too before, in fact with Hugo even when he was born he would sort of do it and it was exactly like it was in utero. I am pretty sure it was muscle spasm type thing.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 19/12/2008 09:43

Morning

Off in the Hastings direction in a minute to visit stores in St Leonards, Robertsbridge, Battle and (if time!) Bexhill

Sorky - glad everything got sorted

DH and I have been invoted to a black tie dinner and dance on 10th Jan. Have no idea what to wear! Does anyone know if there's any companies that hire out maternity evening wear?

Gruff - enjoy seeing your friend and 4 week old

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 19/12/2008 09:48

l - not too worried will feel abit happier after tues with scan etc.
dd1s birth was awful had 2nd degree nearly 3rd degree tearing
would save me worrying about tearing again if i knew that nothing was coming out down there

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2008 09:54

Hi Gin, hi Ses!

Thanks Ses! - Not sure about hiring out maternity evening wear, have you googled it?Im sure there will be places.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 19/12/2008 09:54

Aw bless you Tink i had no idea that dd's birth was so awful. I had a 3rd degree tear after my dd (she is 8 now)and i think it was worse than the section i had with the twins before her.

Have you talked to your midwife about it all? Hope she is nice. When i had ds#3 after dd he was just a very small 2nd degree tear and not bad at all so there is no reason to think it will be bad again.

If they section you for an unstable lie they may do it earlier are you all prepared I know you are

largevirginbirthandtonic · 19/12/2008 09:56

How many weeks will you be? I have a lovely Isabella Oliver pink ruffle trim dress you can borrow. It is not full length though, how fussy are they? I am a size 12 (think it is an Isabella size 3) You are welcome to borrow it

sorkycake · 19/12/2008 09:59

Thanks LG&T, I've been told to expect her to maybe behave in the same way when she arrives. At least I'll not be surprised by it if she does behave in the same way, that'd be scary I think, to see your baby twitching and not know what it is. Was Hugo fine after that?
Your kids have fabulous names btw .
If this one was a boy he was going to be Gabriel Beau.

I heard that the Quinny isn't board compatible either Tink, but she's 3.5 your Dd isn't she? I think I made all mine wak everywhere from before 3yo, but I'm probably rather cruel hehe!

Hope you get some answers on Tuesday Tink, that don't involve major abdo surgery

Well, I'm off to see m/w this afternoon, followed by Chiro, but not before Dh has dropped me off at the Salon to have a facial and my eyes done too. Good times!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 19/12/2008 10:01

Thanks Gin - I'll be 23 weeks but normally a size 14. Will maybe try and google to see if there's something local or if not I'll have a look at the IO website. If this is first of 3 or 4 dc as I'd like, I may get some use out of a decent dress!!?? (Don't tell DH I said that!!)
