I bought a small one I think. Iirc you buy your pre-pg size, unless you think you're vastly different sized.

Honestly, in a choice between a changing table, blah, blah or this I would choose this every single time. But I'm vain, and the thought of an overhang or muffin-top strikes fear into my heart .

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 10:37

LOL cosmo, Im one of those people who will run other direction!

Can cope with being sick myself as long as I have space to be on my own... (though am sure I wont care in labour!)- but other people especially drunks do my head in!

I know kids vomit all the time so Im sure I will get used to it!

sorkycake · 15/12/2008 10:38

Hello Cosmo, sorry missed your post there. What's with all the cleaning you lot? Can you come and do mine ?

really have to go now....

Cosmogirl · 15/12/2008 10:39

Maybe this was mother nature's way of making me get over the phobia before I have a puking baby/child to cope with...

Cosmogirl · 15/12/2008 10:40

Hi Sorky - and bye! I have images of pregnant women in corsets now!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 10:41

Love it Sorky... I'm massively paranoid about being lardy after the birth so anything to help me feel good and get back to my lovely jeans so much the better... Might well treat myself to one!

sorkycake · 15/12/2008 10:45

Just one last one I promise....when b'feeding, if you have to lift your top up (as sometimes I do because I try to wear normal clothes rather than maternity, no one gets to see your belly either, shhhhh though, it's a secret

LaSparklyTourEiffel · 15/12/2008 11:30

Oh....am feeling guilty for still being in bed...I really ought to go and have a shower I probably smell a bit as haven't had one for a couple of days, which is really unlike me, but just haven't had the energy / motivation to dry my hair afterwards

I've got beef in the fridge that needs cooking, we had beef casserole on Friday that we had over the w/e as well...any ideas for something slightly different to do other than onions, carrots and gravy? Its casserole beef so needs cooking a while...suppose I could do it in tinned tomatoes maybe.

(Its got to be simple as I don't have much in as we're away from next weekend for two weeks and I've been a bit lazy with the shopping)

Sorky, am very, very of your pre-birth size, my problem with the 'hold you in' type clothes is that they just tend to squeeze me out somewhere else (bleurgh). I seem to have read quite a lot of BF threads recently, I really loved BF and hope I can do it again

lastboxoftampons · 15/12/2008 11:52

Okay, you're all scaring me now. I'm not ready for corsets and maternity pads!!!

Going for a reassurance scan tomorrow, so wish me luck!

LaTour (every time I write/say your name it reminds me of Vince Vaughn in Dodgeball! ) You could do a stew? I make mine with potatoes, sweet corn, carrots and onions. And sympathies on the bathing - was DIY'ing it with DH this weekend and between the work and the pregnancy exhaustion, the shower just seemed to fall through the cracks. Didn't manage one until last night - Friday morning being the previous one!

sorkycake · 15/12/2008 12:20

BUT I would love some curves. Having said that Dh prefers me on the slim side

I've been debating whether to get my boobs done after this one has finished feeding. I love b'feeding for all sorts of reasons....the cleavage is fantastic when you're not used to any .

LBOT best of luck, though I'm sure everything will be fine

I think we've all been a bit lax on the personal hygiene front at some point on these threads...good job MN doesn't do smelly-forum isn't it?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 12:30

Good luck LBOT - will be thinking of you...

LOL about mat pads and corsets.. you will be thinking of these things before you know it!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/12/2008 13:04

We're backkkkkkkk I'm joking have had one today, t'was the day I went into hospital I didn't have one (had been in bed all day ill) and they sprung a VE on me.... I wasn't actually consious enough to care at the time, t'was a bit embarressing seeing the same doctor again though!

OK, managed to get everything done in town I think, except MIL/FIL's pressie, am completely stuck for what to get... so the list is dwindling, gonna put the tree up when DS1 get's home from school, tidy round and make it look respectable for MIL coming tomorrow, and if we get chance make a start on clearing the play room out. Also at some point need to get DH's xmas pressie I guess but will look on line, am not going back into town until after xmas/baby if I can help it! It was quite nice though busy, they had some of the local school kids singing carols all over the place, felt all magical and christmassy

Right going to go and put the shopping away and grab something to eat, I am starving for the first time since before I was ill, must be on the mend eh?!

What do you think is the best way to ebay baby clothes lots?

According to gender & age range? Limit the number of items? List the entire contents of the lot in the description? What about photo's? How many? Of everything in a heap or of key nice pieces?

It's gonna take me ages whichever way so I'd rather do it right and make more money

What catches your eye?

sorkycake · 15/12/2008 13:13

another one....sorry.
Do I wash everything or leave it? It was all washed before it was vacuum packed and put in the loft, but I just wondered if I should do it again?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/12/2008 13:17

Sorky, I am probably not the best person to answer because we had a HUGE lot go for pennies, but we always listed by gender and size (make sure size is in the heading) and we'd take pictures of the best bits and then a couple of pictures of the whole lot piled neatly on top of each other. As for washing, mostly it was sold the same week it had all been finished with, but I always covered my back by just saying that they'd been in storage for a little while so may need a little wash to freshen them up, never had any complaints.

Right, pack shopping away and eat, should know better than to sit here before I've done what need's doing!

Cosmogirl · 15/12/2008 13:18

Hi Nat - you sound like one busy bee! Make sure you do get some food inside you, sounds like you need the energy!

Sorky - sorry, not sure on the ebay thing....I always like to see real pics before I buy stuff though if that helps.

Ladies who are working - do you think we need to add a maternity leave countdown list? We clearly don't have enough lists already...

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 13:23

ooh Cosmo- lets add one!
I have an excel sheet going on my work laptop so happy add on here!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 13:24

should we do working days or actual days...?

Cosmogirl · 15/12/2008 13:29

Shall we go for actual days?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 15/12/2008 13:30

OK ! sounds good
