Starshinetiger · 12/12/2008 20:16

CONGRATULATIONS Kay!!!! [f grin]

Can't believe it's taken me until now to get online - what with finishing work at lunch, dropping DH off in town, working this afternoon and then running around and picking friend up at 4.30pm - have been very rude and said - I have to leave you there with DH while I go and check if Kay has had baby!

Can't believe it's a year since the Wagon thread started and we now have our first baby - so exciting! So thrilled!

10lbs 5oz - well done Kayz!

kayzisexpecting · 12/12/2008 20:58

Owwwww!!!! It bloody hurt! Stayed at home, just gas and air(which ran out) and my tens machine. Dh was a star and mw's want to employ him. Hope everyone is ok.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 12/12/2008 21:01

KAY!!!!!

Congrats

We've had a fun filled day and filled pages for you to catch up on whilst we've been waiting!

10lb 5oz and you managed on tens machine and gas & air!!!???! Well done you! I'm v impressed

Look forward to seeing some piccies and hearing updates when you get chance.

Take care and give your new DS2 a big wagon cuddle!

Cosmogirl · 12/12/2008 21:05

Hi Kay, congratulations on the birth of your baby boy! Ok, so I think your post answered my question about whether it is easier to birth large babies.... That is fab that you managed the home birth and only tens and gas and air - well done you!

Enjoy snuggling with your new bundle x lots of wagon love x

kookykid · 12/12/2008 21:14

Wow! You're a legend! Can't believe the gas and air ran out. But well done for doing it at home - now you can just curl up in bed with your brand new baby and just enjoy him!
Sounds like DH was wonderful. Congrats to you both and to DS1 - a big brother now!

Awwwwwwww. Have gone all misty-eyed!

Playingthe9monthwait · 12/12/2008 21:24

Weather is disgusting here too. So much I need to try and do today if I've got the energy. Then X Factor tonight.

Yay! More wagon babies then!
Bit like Pringles - once we pop, we can't stop!! ( ok hopefully we'll pause for a few weeks before Nat and then you tink )

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/12/2008 09:36

i've spoken to Kay this morning, all is well... She has named baby Dylan George (as i think she said they planned to call him)... He's not really feeding yet but its becasue he's full of meucus and needs to be sick, but all is fine. MW has been to see her this morning and her DS1 stayed at her mum's last night so is going to meet his baby brother for the first time later today!! She says he looks big, but still really tiny (if that makes as much sense to you lot as it does me!!)

She sounds very perky considering she managed a 10lb'er only yesterday evening on tens and G&A!! I'm posting a card to her today, as long as the rain stops, got so exited yesterday i was up till 10pm making a card for her!!

Well done Kay once again!! You clever clever girl!! You must be so proud of your 2 boys!! Just get on and show us some pics as soon as you can!!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 13/12/2008 09:36

Awwww Kay, just the same as last night really, a very big congratulations to you and DH and DS1, and a gentle cuddle for DS2 Though at that size I suspect he could handle a rugby scrum let alone a gentle cuddle! You did so well, and I for one am extremely proud of you sweetie, get lots of rest today and do nothing except snuggle and love them all Well done!!!

Where Teuch? Has no one heard from her still? She should be next....

Had a bit of a revelation this morning, if he has turned, and if they agree to induce me at 38 weeks, that is NEXT SATURDAY and if he hasn't turned, and if it ends in CS, that will be the Saturday after.... xmas will have been and gone, all the pressies I have left to wrap will be un-wrapped, I've still not even found the tree let alone put it up, I've no idea where the decs are or if they need replacing or anything, have put in a big reservation order with Argos for the boys using vouchers that my family have given them and DH still needs to go and pick it all up, there is a bike, a scooter, a trike, loads of cars, trucks, trains, helecoptors and shopping trolley, and a load of other stuff that we need to some how smuggle past DS1. We still need to put the crib together, and the bath changer thing, and we need to find somewhere to put them, DH still needs to put stuff up in the babies room (pictures, sort the curtains and tie backs out, etc.) and put some shelves up in the boy's room so we can finally get their stuff out of our room. Then we still have the baby swing and bouncy chair to get together..... still got hospital bags to pack, and school xmas stuff to do (parties, fetes, dinners....) talking of dinner we need to do the big xmas food shop... we still have the old washer sat in the middle of the kitchen, DH's niece is supposed to be having it, but she won't come and get it, and DH can't move it on his own, we still have all of DS2's nursery stuff and nursing chair to get rid of..... And we potentially have one weekend to do it all in, which is this weekend, DH is working this morning, I am still not up to very much and actually feel worse today than I did yesterday which I am guessing isn't a good sign, and on top of all of that, I've still not written the xmas cards, sent pressies down to nephews down south, got my mum and MIL anything for xmas....

Anyone for a brew?

NJ... are you still pregnant?

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 13/12/2008 10:06

and breath nat
i am sure that u will get things sorted.
do they usually deliver breech babys @ 38 weeks. i c the midwife thursday when i am 36 weeks and i am sure that bubs is breech transverse

storkycake · 13/12/2008 10:17

Morning!

Wow that was some day yesterday, wasn't it? Well done Kay

Glad there is a little wait until Nat delivers. I for one couldn't handle that excitement every week

Tink were you on time with Dd, I had a dream last night that Gin delivered before you and you went round her house to tell her off!

Nat make a list babe, then see what you can do, write the names of everyone who you can allocate a job to and get them round (guilt is perfectly acceptable at this time of year and circumstances).

One step at a time, and forget about giving birth once you've packed your bag, which I would do first tbh. Besides everything is fine, Marslady is here.... see?!
