storkycake · 11/12/2008 17:49

yes, yes the last post (on whichever thread) has to be either us excitedly awaiting babykay news or a Congratulations to someone on the Wagon!

Wow, Christmas is actually rather close isn't it?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 17:52

2 weeks today is xmas eve!! DH keeps telling me how many days when he wakes up... i'm scared i've forgotten something massive even though i've been all prepared since early November!!

I need to get DH to wrap the presents. He is much better at than me.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 18:04

My DH is awful at wrapping!! I always dread birthdays as i look at the shoddy attempt at wrapping!! I actually wish he bought from shops that would wrap it for him!! .... Aww i sound so harsh on him!! Poor bloke!!

OP posts:
storkycake · 11/12/2008 18:09

I will wrap everything on Christmas Eve. Will start at 9pm ish and will likely finish sometime around 1am. That's par for the course.

Dh will build anything which needs it, add batteries and stickers where necessary and I will wrap.
Each child has their own wrapping paper, so presents don't get mixed up.

This year I'm tempted by that little gadget that sits on your hand and allows both hands to hold the paper whilst sticking.

kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 18:09

I am terrible at wrapping. I can't wrap anything to save my life unless it is a book or dvd. Anything bigger or funny shaped and I can't do it.

My DH is driving me insane. I honestly feel like hitting him with a frying pan. I don't even know why but bloody hell!!!!!!! ARGHHHHH!!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 18:21

haha Kay- thats pregnancy hormones!!! I'm having days like that already... he will come home and do his normal routine, give me a kiss, as whats for tea, check his emails... and one night a week i'll flip at him for something!!

Storky- my 2 have different wrapping papers... then a different wrapping paper for shared presents... and i'm even going to wrap their massive playhouse up for them too!!

Everythign but the playhouse is wrapped already, so its just the playhouse.... and also DS's Bday presents need wrapping before the 21st!!

Great title glask, just getting myself on here before i lose you all. I can't believe xmas is only 2 weeks away! Watched DD1 in school play today, she was the kind ox, i cried!

storkycake · 11/12/2008 18:24

I have a couple of stock sayings when pg and mental

"keep going, go on keep going and see what happens" is used when he knows he's winding me up.

"would you prefer a poke in the eye now or to be stabbed in your sleep later?" usually when his ribbing/groping/general annoyance is still relatively lighthearted.

kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 18:25

DH said he is going to get me a nursing chair for Xmas. I've told him he has to put a big bow on it.

storkycake · 11/12/2008 18:26

rofl Kay I thought your post said "Dh is putting me in a nursing home for Christmas"

I thought ooh, maybe she did hit him with the frying pan

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 18:27

storky- you sound just like me there!! DH gets a few odd one liners... at the begining when it was unwanted groping i'd always say 'you try throwing up all day then see if you feel like a shag'... now it's 'walk around with a football up your top and people commenting you're massive while you know that you need to keep it in another 4 mths, then also know you've gotta push it out at the end and still be smiling at bedtime'

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 18:29

haha storky!!!

Kay- thats really nice of your DH- i want a nursing chair... DH says i will ahve a nursing pillow and a comfy couch, what more could i ask for!!??

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 11/12/2008 18:32

I wanted one with DS but we didn't have room for it so DH has no choice now.

DH was doing his unwanted groping at 4 this morning. I was sighing and he said "Can't you get to sleep?" and I almost shouted "Well would you if someone was stroking you like you are a f*cking cat"
I was really worried I'd woken up DS.

storkycake · 11/12/2008 18:32

I'm sore today and Dh said "didn't the Chiro recommend an ice pack?"

I replied "why don't you put one your nads first and see if you like it"

He laughed and said I didn't need an ice pack my arse was cold enough!

witty fecker! we did both laugh at that convo though.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 11/12/2008 18:45

Kay- i'm actually crying with laughter at your DH 'stroking you like a cat' brought up loads of funny pictures in my head!!
