Ooooooh congrats to daisy, verso and LadyT! Lovely names . It's all so exciting . LOL at daisy's message about her waters.

SL At least your DH understands that you are not going to snap back. My DH was asking earlier why I hadn't packed any of my normal clothes in my hospital bag .

hatty How rude of your midwife! A midwife at my ante-natal class asked if we all knew what we were having, which all but two couples did and then said how much better it is not to find out . Why criticise the choice of the majority of the room?!

kayz I'm feeling really uncomfortable too. I walked to the local shop before and every step seemed to press my poor bladder and hips. I hope babykayz changes position so you can get a good nights sleep.

Turnip Hope you last out till midnight!

I wonder who is going to next.... we should have a sweepstake.

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 20:48

I was going to try the having sex tonight but don't know if I can be bothered. DH has just annoyed me because he would rather wash up than give me a back massage.

Congratulations Lady T, lovely name and I wouldn't have guessed in a million years.
Off for a bath to try and ease these horrible aches and pains. Hope everyone has a decent night.

Twiga · 25/11/2008 20:55

Huge congratulations on the three safe arrivals, ladyt, verso and daisy, lol to you all and hope recovering well. Looking fwd to hearing your stories - daisy you managed to give me the biggest laugh of the day with your waters going on-line . Enjoy your wee bundles!

Turnip, hope you make it to tomorrow and get into the mw unit - being within a few hours of their deadline must be a bit frustrating.

I'm another one who's finding it hard to get comfy - don't remember being this fed up at this stage the last two times, even dh who's pretty patient is saying I've been moaning a lot. Just soooo tired all the time, feel huge!

reban · 25/11/2008 21:12

congratulations to LT verso and daisy hope all well xx

it was my penultimate day at work today, not in tomorrow and finish on thursday .. i will so not miss those train journeys and the joy of birmingham city centre at lunch time!

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:29

YAY!!!!!!! Goal for Arsenal!!! DH has told me to calm down.

mibbes · 25/11/2008 21:34

Congrats daisy lovely news and lovely name - hurray for Harry !

Verso congrats on your wee girl

hatty what a complete cow that MW was - none of her business to assume what sex of baby you and your DH prefer - grrr

Summer you should be pleased that your DH is aware of the post-birth weight issue. My DP keeps saying he can't wait to have me back with my normal body after baby is born and I keep stressing that is will NOT just go back to 'normal' immediately !! Thanks for the top tip about water and massage - I have only tried it a couple of times and found it really hard to reach round the bump !!!

Turnip how exciting

kayz I also find the gym ball great for comfort when baby's head pressing down on me.

woohoo LadyT congrats - lovely name

Ooh this is just so exciting, I can't wait for the next baby

Veggiemummy · 25/11/2008 21:35

hooray, and from Bendtner with the mullet cut. Not the best bod think he should have kept that shirt on. Isn't little Whilshere good, and 16!! i just want to give him a cuddle bless him.

traceface · 25/11/2008 21:35

how exciting about the new babies!!!! Turnip hope things work out for you...good job you rang and got checked. It's weird that those pains are contractions - I wonder if that's what's been happening with me and others too?! I wish it was all a bit more 'text book'! It's too confusing!
Kayz - Perhaps if you leap around with excitement at the football it might jog the baby down a bit more...!

kayzisexpecting · 25/11/2008 21:40

I know Veggie, for some reason I don't like Bendtner. He just annoys me. I love Velua(sp) that mexican. He is so cute and such a good footballer.

I am now going to go to bed. Might try the sex thing, depends though. I'll probably be fast asleep before I even hit the pillow.

Turnip Keep those legs crossed for at least another 2 hours and 21 minutes!!

mibbes · 25/11/2008 21:40

x-posts JB, your DH is as deluded as mine !

Veggiemummy · 25/11/2008 21:52

i know Bendtner generally is fairly useless feel. Goodluck with 'the sex thing' you make it sound so romantic Kayz

Chutney if your concerned get the post removed, and check with her. If she doesn't want too much info on here we can put very basic info on the birth list and more detailed on the email list. But there are loads of us on here tonight that have seen it so we know so could be removed now. Hopefully no dodgy people skulking but you never know.

Veggiemummy · 25/11/2008 21:57

oh that should have read fairly useless I feel not a fairly useless feel, that sounds a bit dirty the original way.

Veggiemummy · 25/11/2008 22:15

loving cuddly thoughts to Pixstix and her little boy.

EffiePerine · 25/11/2008 22:22

Turniphead: good thing you went in, hope all goes OK

Congratulations to LadyT, a lovely name and not poncetastic at all! I was thing along the lines of Artemis or Antigone...

SummerLightning · 25/11/2008 22:32

mibbes another top tip for massage if you can't reach, get DH to do it , though mine doesn't really like it and I have said I will try and do it myself now I feel better!

Great news about ladyt, congrats, and great name!!

Don't think I have said congrats to verso either, great news, I was slightly worried she would be back on here tonight saying the hospital couldn't fit her in or some other c*-up knowing her luck!

turnip hang on in there!!!

Veggiemummy · 25/11/2008 22:38

ooww ooowwww ooooow ow ow. My tummy is a bit sore, i think it is veggiebaby doing some stretches rather than any imminent arrival, but very uncomfortable.

chutneymary · 25/11/2008 22:48

Poor you, Veggie - hope it's nothing significant (yet!)

Thanks for the reply too, Veggie, about LadyT - she has texted to say she is fine with the big reveal! I think the names are gorgeous. Might have to think of something a bit more exciting for my wee boy.

I don't think I'll be snapping back into shape for a while. Will just be nice not to have a pair of feet under my ribs.

Have a peaceful night everyone.

SummerLightning · 25/11/2008 22:53

chutney yes I agree, i just want my ribs and lungs back and heartburn to go away, I can live with a few extra lbs.

I told DH that I put his "comment" about being massive afterwards online and he said "ohhh, I just didn't want to you to..", and I finished off "..throw strops?" and he replied "well...not TOO many strops".

Turniphead1 · 26/11/2008 00:34

Well I am still here - postmidnight!!!

Chutney just to allay your fears. I too got that text from LadyT when I was out and asked her was it ok to post on thread - and she said yes. So fine that you did I think. I love the name I must say. Octavia is well posh - and lovely. Hope the poor love has got her pain relief sorted. If you CAT me we can be each other's contacts (as I don't have a phone with internet access).

I enjoyed the guessing game on BabyLadyT's name too!

Went out for dinner. Had a lovely time. Still the same, this niggly old cramps. But not escalating - just enough to give me insomnia. Given that they said there was no dilation, part of me wonders if you put a monitor on a sample group of 36 weekers would you not get quite a few who were contracting - but in the end went to fullterm or beyond? Anyhoo - if it happens, it happens.

Kayz hope you got some of the other (if you fancied it in the end...). I can't quite face it to be honest and DH is fast asleep! Not bothering to do anything labour inducing - but then I am a few weeks earlier than you. It wouldn't do babyTurnip any harm to have a couple more weeks cooking time!

Jam poor you! But could be a sign?!? Let us know....

Bisou · 26/11/2008 04:29

... I hope you're well asleep by now. I keep checking on here just in case anyone starts labour during the middle of the night! I'll be here waiting just in case

All's well here, I can't complain really, as so many of you seem to be having such a bad time of these last few weeks. I'm pretty sure bisou-bub is still not properly engaged, as the few times I think he did I got a bit of pelvis pain but it passed so I think it was only temporary.

I did have a huge laugh at the "not having to lassoo my knickers round my feet" comment on the 'what are you looking forward to post pregnancy' thread too! I'm so there with that one. And shoes - I'm now living in slippers and flip flops as my swollen feet won't fit anything else. Probably just as well as I struggle with laces/buckles etc anyhow.

I'll post a new birth stats list with our new inclusions! If anyone doesn't want to be on it or name left off after posting about your new arrivals, please do say so or they may just get updated automatically accidentally.

Hope you all have a lovely day

Bisou · 26/11/2008 04:34

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 06:59

Morning,

Hope everyone is feeling ok this morning.

Thanks for doing the list Bisou, I am with you on shoes. It is getting impossible except I can't wear flip flops. We don't have the weather for it.

Nothing exciting happened here last night. I was fast asleep before DH came up to bed. Next time I suppose I should tell him so he can come to bed with me.
I told him about the 'sperm cocktails' and then somebody said I should be drinking guiness(urgh) so he said you could make a Guiness Cocktail.

kmp1 · 26/11/2008 07:27

another charming night up every hour.... not heartburn this time, but rather very sore pubic bone - nice.... I also have a massive aching problem in my thighs and bum? Usually on the side i'm sleeping? Apparently fluid retention being painful - anyone else? If the bottom of my legs aren't RLS then the top are aching!
Bisou - on the list can we put if it's planned C/S or Emerg? It would be interesting to know which ones went to ECS - just a thought....
M/W appoint today (a week late!)

katie3677 · 26/11/2008 07:51

Just checked the list and realised that its Rosmerta next, and then me! Scary.
Another really uncomfortable night, was convinced I was having labour pains, but they've stopped now so I guess not. Poor DH heads off to work every morning in a constant state of trepidation (he works 1 1/2 hrs away).
