Diege.... you want some of my cyclazine??? i dont mind sharing?? I have to say if your not taking the stetimol (is that right?) then maybe you could ask GP or MW for some cyclazine... the side effects dont affect much after taking them for a week... and i'm lasting on one pill in a morning now (was only on 3 a day dose for about 3/4 days)... GP gave me a 42 pill prescription, and i still had a couple left from my last hospital prescription... so i think i've enough to last me now!!

GYo- i have to admit i had some with my buttered toast for my breakfast!!! Its the only drink i'm keeping down in a morning... but only a couple of mouthfuls!! How bad is that!!??

As for the xmas cards, i wont see most of my extended family... we normally meet up at easter time... I'd normally go with my parents to visit and hand out cards, but with DS at nursery i doubt i'll be able to this year. So i thought if i write them all out i can give my mum some to pass on for me, and also could give some to DH's mum when she visits 6th & 7th dec... she can pass to DH's aunts and grandparents down south for us... and then it gives me all of december to make sure i get them all out, and get DH to give all his out to our friends he see's more often than me!!

I also have some i need to adress and post... aswell as a couple of xmas presents that need posting!!

I also cleared out all our xmas decs last night... i have a 5ft fake xmas tree and a massive box full of decs to give away... our living room tree (main one) will be done in silver and then with all our special baubles which are mainly whites, silvers, blues and pinks... and then the little 3ft tree for in the dining room will be in red and gold... so i'm getting silver ceiling decs for the living room, and red and gold ones for the dining room...

then i'm making card holders with the kids... we're going to get string, glue it, then glitter it... hoping to make some xmassy pegs to hold them on the string with... gonna look on ebay for some now...

Also realised i need some maternity jeans too... only have 4 pairs of maternity pants... 1 are smart, 1 linen, 1 jogger sort and 1 combat sort... i want some jeans!!!

Diege · 19/11/2008 09:57

Thanks GYO! The fact that, on past experience, sickness stops 12 weeks-ish means I can keep a degree of perkiness going. Will have to cancel hair appointment tomorrow though I think as 2/3 hours in salon would be hell!
GLASK - wow, the energy! BTW, if you manage to find a good pair of maternity jeans that actually stay up let me know! Have decided on drugs front to ask for cyclazine if sickness carries on into second trimester.

Have just heard that a good friend has had a baby daughter this morning - Mille (Millicent) - or rather her partner has (same sex civil partnership). Really pleased for both of them as such a long-drawn out process for them, and they will be fab parents .

Oh and those flutterings are here again . Felt them when I woke up, and also after food. Def something going on in there!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 10:02

Morning

Ses, glad you got it sorted out with DH, I find I get more cross with DH than anyone when he annoys me (which I must admit, mostly it isn't him annoying me but other things that I take out on him - poor bloke!) Making up is so much fun though

Had to have a giggle at poor perky pukey Diege Glask has a point, is there any other meds you could ask for?

Talking of Glask, sit down woman, xmas is agesssssssss away!! Ooooh and if you like over-the-bump type maternity jeans, try Debenhams, £30-£40 a pair depending on what you want, very comfy, don't fall down very much, they fit all the way through and even after, and they do short/long/petite etc. I have about 6 pairs of jeans upstairs, mostly only worn once or twice, I just live in my Debenhams pairs!

I have got my arse into gear and ordered the last few things we needed, changing bag (I found one I liked!), BF support cushion - couldn't have done it without one at night time last time! - footprint set thingymebob etc. just need to find a clock of some sort, and I am still not sure about the Noah's Ark thingy, think I might leave that until the bookcase is here (whenever that may be) and see if it will go as nicely as I am imagining or if I am thinking it is nicer than it is IYKWIM?!

I went round the shop after dropping DS1 off at school, realised I was leaking water half way there am now sat on towels and sporting a lovely big fat pad waiting to see if it just another short leak or if they are going to go... not shitting it in the slightest, not me, no no no... whether it's now or at 42 bloody weeks I am going to give birth ALONE

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 10:03

Oh huge congrats to your friends Diege Beautiful name

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 10:06

i felt movements like bubbling/fluttering at about 10wks diege... mentioned it on here i think... my body said there was something there, my head said it was waaaaay too soon... then started feeling real 'movements' about a week ago now...

I dont know where my energy is coming from at all!! I feel tired all the time... my eyelids feel like they are dropping now... but somehow i manage to do tons right now!!

I did have some maternity jeans with DS that stayed up.... they were from george maternity range, but i dont think they do it anymore... they were over-the-bump ones that were all made of strechy jeans material... i gave them to my sister as they were a size 12 maternity... dont think i'd fit in them now!! I'm in a size 14 maternity normally atm... doubt i'll be loosing any more weight this pregnancy!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 10:11

Nat- i hope it is just a little leak for your sake!!!

I'm wanting about 2/3 pairs of jeans if i can... dont know if DH would let me spend £30-40 a pair... i saw soem in Dorothy Perkins that were only £25 a pair... so it'd only be £50 for 2 pairs... he was pulling faces at that!!!!

but he's just a grump when it comes to spending money on anything!!

His mum normally gives us some money to buy xmas presents with, and sometimes takes us shopping to find something... think i'll ask for a nice pair of maternity jeans from her.... i'll be selling my maternity bundle on ebay afterwards and puttign the money to some GHD's (what i'd have got for xmas if i wasn't pg) so it would be like a bit to help with my pregnancy clothing, and also a good chunk to help towards my straighteners!!

Diege · 19/11/2008 10:13

Hi NAT! Gulp about waters. Really hope it's just a trickle of hind waters - dare I suggest contacting midwife again?? We are your virtual care givers, so regular up dates please
I have heard good things about Debenhams maternity jeans (is it Red Herring?) Was thinking about trying the Seraphine ones as they've had good reviews and also do short arse lengths. Def under the bump for me - can't stand anything clinging to lower bump!
Right, I must get another blasted lecture written to keep work off my back..
Back later!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 10:15

oooooh- just looked on asda.co.uk for maternity clothes and they have jeans!!!! they are only £14 a pair... i think i'll get 2 different types, and DH will be ever so pleased with me!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/11/2008 10:18

Morning all,

Nat - glad your scan went well, hope your waters stop leaking so much! Shopping sounds exciting though, what changing bag did u go for?

Deige - sorry you are still suffering so much. I understand what you mean about putting up with it till 12 wks though. I was the same, I only went to see the gp at 13wks. It was almost as if I could put up with it for a certain amount of time but I had just had enough by then.

Ses - sorry about your argument with DH. I understand exactly how you feel. I also understand how a bloke could not grasp it was a big deal, I'm not sure they tend to worry about things going wrong as much as we do. I dont think my DH would get it unless I actually said to him "I don't want to tell people yet until baby is here safely, things could still go wrong yet". Anyhow, glad you kissed and made up!

GYo - well done for takign the first step against yoru boss, he shouldn't be able to get away with treatign you like that.

Can't remember who was talking about NCT classes now but I've booked mine. They start in Jan and I am beginning to get excited now. Only issue is the day time courses which are a real pain as I wont be on mat leave then but there we go.

Think that was it, sorry if I missed anyone!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 10:21

Glask, tips:

  1. Never take DH shopping with you.

  2. Always remove price tags on the way home.

  3. Move things into as few carrier bags as possible, 2 or 3 bags stuffed full looks less in DH's eyes than zillions of bags.

  4. Avoid telling exact prices as much as possible, if he asks "How much was all that lot?" answers: "More than your monthly pay packet" with a and a or "about as much as would fit on the credit card" Jokes about it being more then it is, makes the blow less hard hitting if he decides to know exact prices!

hope my DH doesn't see this!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 10:27

Nat- i already do all them!!!!

If i say i'm going to my mums he always says 'well dont be going out with her, you always spend too much'... if i say i'm popping into town for something in particular he'll say 'dont spend too much'..... he knows me too well!!

We dont have credit cards anymore as i just used to go OTT and then we'd end up paying all our spendable wage on the credit card and it wasn't worth it so we had a couple of skint months, payed it all off and now just live on his wage alone.

Its not too bad as its taught me to budget better, and i look for 'bargains' to keep DH sweet on my other spending!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 10:50

right i'm off again... need to change the litter trays, and clean the bathroom.... then think i may even hoover the stairs... then get DH to take hoover upstairs tonight so i can hoover up there tomorrow!!

My sisters might be coming this afternoon, if they do then i may not be around again today... so have a nice day all!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 10:52

Diege, no am not ringing unless I really need to, have seen enough MW's in the last week to last me a life time! Besides, I think it's stopped leaking. It is Red Herring at Debenhams, their tops aren't so good I find, I am a short arse and they are still too short, plus I find they are either quite boring or really really OTT (am thinking Roxy in EE would like their stuff! - Have you ever seen such a pregnant mess, or not so pregnant now obviously!) I am rambling, I am going to stop!!

Morning Playing I decided on this one it isn't 100% what I was after, but close enough, and TBH I just wanted it ordered so I could forget about it!

GLask, £14!!! Bargain!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/11/2008 11:50

I like the bag Nat! I haven't bought any yet but then I already own 3 oioi bags from when I used to work for the distributors, so I can't say that I really need them! Still, maybe one new bag wouldn't hurt

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 11:59

The OiOi bags are brilliant, DS2's is still going strong, and I really wanted one this time round but they were out of stock, and because the colour I wanted was last season's (shush, don't tell anyone!! ) they are out of stock everywhere

And FWIW, one more bag never hurts, you never know when you'll need it, y'know like if one got broke, and one got soaking wet in the rain, and one got lost, all in one day, you'd deffo need another spare one, else you'd be flapping!

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/11/2008 12:12

Well thats very true Nat, maybe I should get a new one . And of course mine are now 3 seasons old as I left the company nearly 3 years ago and they do change the designs so regularly.

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/11/2008 12:15

oh, just a thought Nat, why don't you try ringing the distributors just in case they have a couple left of the design you like? Its not likely but it might be worth a go? 01730 895 761.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 12:16

LOL Any excuse hey?!

Right, time for bed, I love Wednesdays, DS1 is at school for an extra hour, so I feel I have a proper time to nap with DS2!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/11/2008 12:17

Ah, thanks, but I've ordered this other one now!

Playingthe9monthwait · 19/11/2008 12:21

sure you do . Right must do work now!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 12:41

here are the bargain maternity jeans... think i'm getting both of the £14 pairs... and if DH's mum does give me money then i will stash it away towards my GHD's.

i think one of my goldfish is going to dye very soon.... he's the oldest fish we've got in the tank (we only have 3 fish now) and he's been swimming on his side for 3 days now... i came in from collecting DS from nursery and he was floating on the top not moving but i put some food in and he started swimming again... I hope he's not in pain He's blind in one eye already (or at least we think he is as his eye went black one day, so his eye is a black blob on his head, and he's bleeding under his scales/skin whatever you'd call it on one of his gills- has been like that for months and we always think he's gonna dye, but he hasn't yet- i mena how long can a fish live on his side??

anyway, i just put my abel and cole order in to be delivered on monday... I've ordered my regular mixed fruit and veg box, some minced venison it was on a special offer and i think i'll make a chilli using it... just hope it tastes nice!! Also ordered extra oranges... and some sprouts (craving soggy overcooked sprouts with lots of salt on!!),aswell as a case of special organic and fairtrade beers and real ales for DH for xmas. I'm thinking i'll wrap the beers all up seperatley and hide them under the tree and one in his stocking!!

kayzisexpecting · 19/11/2008 12:46

Hello,

Hope the waters leaking isn't too bad Nat.

I feel bloody horrible. I've been being sick all morning and then just went to lie in bed. DH is thinking of having the day off work to look after DS as I just don't have the energy.

I want an OiOi bag, I've seen a nice purple one, but there is a nice M&P's one too.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 12:48

Hi Kayz- sorry you feel crap- its the pits isn't it... have you got a bug? or do you think things are happening? i was sick during the day with both my DC's before i went into labour the same night.... wasn't it you who said it happened with your DS?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/11/2008 12:50

this wasn't the oioi bag you were wanting is it Nat?

largeginandtonic · 19/11/2008 12:51

Who is pregnant and who is giving birth? NJ????
