im still not pg had some blood tests FINALLY and get the results tuesday, am pretty sure its hormonal tho as when im on the pill bleeds happen regularly and my understanding is that the pill takes over hormonally?? so am hopeful! hate going to the docs tho

I think we've had a few ups and downs, a couple of BFP's, a bit of bad news for Heebs, but fingers crossed it isn't over yet, I've been in and out of hospital, people being sick everywhere, but as always I think we all pull each other along, keep each other going

You will let us know the results on Tuesday won't you? I am off now, DH should be home within the next half hour or so, and I need to do the 'look how much I haven't done today' thing...!

Hi ladies,

Not had chance to catch up yet but wanted to pop on and tell you all that the scan went very well today. All was good and normal and on track and the sonographer said the baby is a girl!!! Very excited. DH is a bit sceptical about believing her but she said it straight away and pointed out the three white lines that mean girl. I said 'so should I buy pink based on this?' She said: 'based on what I've seen, I would'.....then hesitated and said 'but keep receipts'.

I suppose they can never been totally sure....So glad it is over now though, as we were both so nervous before the scan. Have some great pictures, will try to upload them, but have not been able to when I've tried in the past.

Right, I am popped after a long day, so will endeavour to catch up properly over the weekend.

The MW said on thursday that if its real labour a bath can make it happen faster but if its false labour it will stop it.

I'm glad you are having tests done. At least they are taking you seriously.

BB, I am certainly no expert but if the pill was making you bleed, I think that can be a sign of hormone imbalance, which could have an effect on TTC-ing, do you know what bloods they are doing?

Kay, the bath thing, either way is a load of balls, some MW swear it'll stop a false labour, others say it will slow down a real labour. With my IU a bath helps to ease the pain but it doesn't stop it all. And I had a home water birth booked for DS2, MW told me not to get in the pool till I was 5cm because the pool (same as the bath in my eyes!) can slow it down before then, so that's 2 examples, a bath not stopping false labour, and a MW saying it would stop (or at least slow down) real labour. IMO, if it is real labour, nothing will stop it, so just do what makes you feel comfortable, if you want a bath, have one, if not, don't!

Was in bed at 8.30pm last night! Thank goodness for the weekend!

DH is off to Twickenham today to see England vs South Africa. I might get chance to wrap his Christmas presents up! (Having said that I've only got 2 smallish ones for him atm!)

Our local farm shop has a farmers market as well this morning so after I've dropped DH at the station I'm going to pick Mum up and we'll go up there and have a look round. Also hoping to order our Christmas turkey from the farm shop.

Nat, when I was having DS the MW's at the hospital told me I'd have to get out of the pool when I got to 5cms because it would make the labour too fast for me to deal with. But then when I said the contractions were getting really bad, the MW said to go have a bath and that I was just not coping with the pain. But I demanded they checked me and I was 9cms. I'm so glad I'm not going there again.

DS has accidently headbutted me in the nose. It really bloody hurts and both me and DS cried. Poor DH didn't know who to deal with first.

Nothing else happening here apart from Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you DH is ok. Must be worrying though waiting for results etc. DH is ok, we're getting worried about his job though. He works in a factory making car parts and Honda are closing their main factory for 2 months next year so we don't know if his job is safe or if he'll be laid off. Freddie is ok, crazy and full of energy though. I just don't know where they get all their energy from.
