Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

I'm convinced i'm having another boy

and i made a stupid bet with dh over names (if I won he would be called James, if dh won he would be called Roman). I was convinced I was right but of course I was wrong and now dh is crowing and refusing to budge

Gillyan · 11/12/2008 01:23

hobnob they said the bleed could be cervical erosions or a blood clot they can't see on the scan thats in my uterus - she sadi either way there is nothing that can be done till baby is out so just got to keep getting checked - glad you're okay - well done you

belgrano poor you feeling so rough, a can of coke a day is has got like 20 teaspoons of sugar but who cares, you need to have whatever makes you feel better

I had to eat today - cereal - 3 ice pops, a bag of tutty fruities, a bag of prawn cocktail spiral crisps.

Followed by prawn cocktail walkers from the hospital shop after my booking appoint which finished at 4 pm

Followed by a tea of home made spag bol - which I ate about 5 fork fulls of - followed with a jam doughnut and a drumstick lollipop

Nutritious!

beccabump mine too is little bean - baby bean etc, unoriginal I know but never mind

bozette i totally sympathise with migrains - I suffered terribly last pregnancy and I'm not looking forward to it again.

I'M A BIT IN SHOCK BUT QUITE EXCITED

Had my booking appoint today and spent 1hr 30 mins with lovely MW - told her all about bad experience last time and she has referred me to see consultant after 20 week scan - she said i should be able to go for a home birth if consult agrees. I had a 3rd degree Tear so thought they wouyldn't let me she said as most of my bad experience was due to awful care I would probably be better at home and I only live 5 mins away from hospital so could transfer easily if any problems. At my 6 wk post-natal check the doc said I should have an elective section next time!

Just do not know what to do but glad it an option on the table!

As i predicted the MW could not get blood out of me and I had to go to the phlebotomy department where it even took her 4 attempts and my arms are killing me now.

Wrapped all DD's presents though tonight - I really do feel like I'm on a right high, loads of energy - I should really go to bed - I'm ridiculously excited about my new suit arriving tomorrow

THANKYOU for all your lovely messages and thoughts

gillyan thats nothing i ate yesterday
ham sandwich with salt and vinegar crisps for breakfast, big mac meal for lunch, prawn cocktail crisps and then chinese for tea!
im thinking i may be having a boy as this is so different compared to when carrying dd, i lost 2 stone and couldnt eat anything from sickness, this time i HAVE to eat or the sickness seems to get worse!
im gonna end up mahoooosive at this rate! anyway have a good day ladies and i'll let you know how my scan goes, fingers crossed for me!

oneyummymummy · 11/12/2008 08:14

Hey ladies! Im not pregnant but had my dd in july 07, just wanted to let you all know of a cheap 3D scanning place i went to when i was pregnant. They are called Apeekaboo imaging i havnt got the number but im sure you can google them, i saw them at the baby show. and you get a 3d scan, dvd, cd rom, loadsa pics, b&w and colour and a lovely picture frame for your scan pic! They also do loads of other extras like keyrings with baby on etc.....

Hope it might help some of you, i treasure mine and love getting it out every now and again, cant believe my dd is 17 months already!!!

oneyummymummy · 11/12/2008 08:16

Sorry i forgot to say, i think there clinic is now in Woolwich Arsenal, but have a look as im not 100%.

Good Luck xxx

mickeylou · 11/12/2008 09:36

Morning eveyone, when i was pregnant with DS i was convinced he was a boy but this pregnancy is different so far (bearing in mind still only 7 weeks). whilst i do feel nauseous and have been sick a couple of times, this is no where near as bad as i was with DS. i felt like i had a permanent hangover with him and never got through a day without puking at some point. that kept going until i was well over 24 weeks.

DH's money is on another boy whereas I am inclined to think girl. i was watching DS batter DH last night in a playfight. they are so noisy and rough when they get going I said a little prayer for a girl!!

is anyone going to find out at the 20 week scan? i didnt with DS but the not knowing drove me insane towards the end.

also i have no idea what i'm going to call him or her. DH doesnt like my only choice for a boy. did anyone feel like they have already picked their favourite name? nothing seems to be grabbing me the way DS's name did.

how was scan Lydia?

Phoenix · 11/12/2008 10:38

I had no sickness with ds but have with this one so i'm leaning towards a girl this time.

Would like another boy though. We have a boys name (Rhys Joseph) but have no idea for a girl. We like some but don't really love any iykwim.

If ds had been a girl we had Amy Jo but wasn't overly in love with that either . Ds is Lewis James.

We want to find out the sex this time (didn't with ds) but we want to keep it to ourselves and not tell anyone. I'm not sure we'll be able to do that though. We'll end up slipping up saying he or she or buying something blue or pink and someone seeing it

Gillyan - Great news from your scan

Lydia - Good luck for your scan today

lastboxoftampons · 11/12/2008 11:05

Hello Everyone:

Gillyan glad you had a lovely midwife and good news about the home birth!

Have no idea what I may be having, as I have nothing to compare to - this will be our first! I'm going for an early scan next week (EPU offered since I had an mc last time) so I'm just hoping that everything's okay in there. Can't get excited and start fantasizing about gender, prams, clothes, etc until I know that there's a heartbeat and the nugget is where it's supposed to be!

Secretly thinking girl though (been having dreams about one! )

BonzoDoodah · 11/12/2008 11:08

Had to blab to the other mums at our Christmas do last night as they immediately noticed I wasn't drinking and didn't believe the antibiotics story. Ah well - is a small close group so didn't mind them knowing so much (only 7-8 weeks). Work will be the trial on Saturday but they are a bit more unobservant so I may pass them (fingers crossed).

My bump is probably going to be called Pudding (like the last one) although I do like BabyBean too.

mmmmmm another moccha hits the spot

mum2boys2girls · 11/12/2008 15:22

Not finding out either I like surprises waves to everyone !!!!!

mum2boys2girls · 11/12/2008 15:26

Just saw your other thread natty can't get over your friend you are not being unreasonable to be peed off ,I would be livid

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 15:27

oh i know.. ive got to buy a whole new wardrobe now!

mum2boys2girls · 11/12/2008 15:35

oh good ! it is so annoying though when friends let you down like that , I lent a friend of mine a Ted Baker dress it did come back to me but with several scorch marks on it have never lent anything again I learn't the hard way

Just had to change my scan date sooo annoyed but I have been rostered Barcelona on the 18th so now going on the 22nd can hardly wait to see my lo and get that reassurance .

mum2boys2girls · 11/12/2008 15:38

that sounded wrong good you get some new bits but bad if you have lost some favourite items of maternity clothes I have some old favourites and would be lost without them plus maternity clothes always seems so expensive .

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 15:40

yes they are, and seems like a waste as my last baby probally.
DH not impressed he told me not to lend them out
