Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

mum2boys2girls · 11/12/2008 19:37

natty you are so sweet and thoughtful updating the list so quickly xx

Phoenix · 11/12/2008 19:54

So sorry gingermumi and bedhead

lydiathetattooedlady · 11/12/2008 19:58

sorry too gingermumi and bed head.
my scan went well saw lovely strong heartbeat which was brilliant! however slightly peeved as, when had booking in appoitment was CLEARLY told i would not get a scan until beginning/middle of january, got home from private scan today to find an appointmnet for december 30th grr! oh well at least my mind is at rest and only have just over 2 weeks til i get to see little monty (our name for the bean) again! hows everyone else?

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 20:03

i just know when i miscarried, seeing my name and due date on the list would reduce me to tears, so i dont want anyone else to feel like that. also having to take your own name of the list feels like another loss iuswin.

feeling sad for all you poor ladies, and feeling nervous as it shows that it can all be over out of the blue.
i myself wont relax until i can feel the baby's movements as u just dont know how your babies doing.
i guess its cos i had the mmc, and knew that i had carried my baby around for a week and had no idea he/she had stopped growing. i was blissfully happy, and completly ignorant. i think sometimes ignorance is not bliss, its that knowledge of that week spent planning and picking names that hurts still today.

i am feeling so sorry for you all, what a hard hard week for this group, and we are all thinking of you xx

lydiathetattooedlady · 11/12/2008 20:12

i dont feel so happy now

mickeylou · 11/12/2008 20:14

so sorry for you too bedhead.

midwife called tonight. have a booking in appointment tomorrow. i am slightly freaking out here. that 12 week scan seems an eternity away.

hope eveyone is ok tonight.

Phoenix · 11/12/2008 20:20

Great news from the scans Christiana and Lydia. Are you gonna have our 1st July baby Christiana?

I can't wait for my scan. It's 3 weeks on Monday, seems ages away. My letter from the hospital says that i will only have a scan if i haven't had a dating scan anywhere else

Misspaella · 11/12/2008 20:36

Evening everyone
I am so sorry to hear about the mc's. It's sad and makes me anxious...hugs to you all.

Christiana and Lydia what great news for you! I can't wait for my scan now. I just want to be put at ease. I rang the hospital on Monday and supposedly I was going to be allocated my appt on Tues and a letter would be on its way. Still not letter. It is getting frustrating. I want a date to look forward to.

Um, is anyone else having pg brain already? I drove off without strapping DS to his booster seat! . Thankfully I realised it within seconds of driving off.

Hope everyone is having a good evening.

Ooops yeah forgot about the twins

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 20:59

christina i SO understand what you mean, i cant look forward to them, and by the time my scan comes ive already decided the worst has happened lol.. must be how we cope with it

LargeGlassofRed · 11/12/2008 21:01

So sorry gingermumi and bed head.

My heart goes out to all those who have miscarried.

Christiana am sure you'll be before me,
my babies are always late.

My 12 week scan is on the 22nd, not sure whether to take the dc's or not? am sure they would love to see, but them I'm worried if there is something wrong.
Also never had a twelve week scan before I'm not sure if dc's are aloud.

bozette · 11/12/2008 21:06

So sorry gingermumi and bedhead. Puts everything into perspective. Hope both of your famlies are spoiling you rotten.

Today is my first full day without a migraine!! Thank goodness, but bet it returns. Last time i had more migraines in the second trimester, which just adds to my conviction that i'm cooking a girl! I will definitely find out sex at 20 weeks, or earlier if poss as i'm just too impatient! I'll also be having an elective section as had one last time (breech) and plan on declining the offer of VBAC. The whole out of control aspect of pregnancy terrifies me as i'm a closet control freak!!

Mmmmm, salad with thick sticky balsamic vinegar from waitrose, lovely!!

Phoenix · 11/12/2008 21:08

Oh yeah was gonna ask about taking dc's to scans. I'm not sure wether to take ds to my mums before the scan or to take him with us. He's too young to understand and will prob be a pain. What would you do? He's 2.10yo.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 21:24

ive taken my two with me four times for scans now (2mc and 2 scans so far in this pregnancy)
they can be a bit noisy so take DH or a friend with you, tom is 2.5 and ellen is 1.5 and they both pointed at the screen and said mummy, so they do pick up on stuff.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 21:24

said baby sorry.. not mummy

hobnob57 · 11/12/2008 21:24

So much good news on here as well as bad. It's a really touch and go time I suppose. Fingers crossed for lots of dancing babies on those scans.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to ask something for my own peace of mind more than anything else. During the last few weeks of my pg I was uncontrollably cold. Where normally my skin would prickle, I shivered and chattered teeth for 5 minutes or more and couldn't warm up at all. It reached its peak in hospital.

I'm wondering (for next time) if anyone else has had this? It stopped immediately after my erpoc and I'm nice and warm now. Do you think this was a mmc thing or a pg thing?

Phoenix · 11/12/2008 21:27

Dh will hopefully be coming with me. Will be good to show him the reason we've been telling him for the last few weeks to be careful with mummy's belly

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 11/12/2008 21:29

def a pregnancy thing hobnob, i ALWAYS feel the cold to extremes when pregnant. so much so i have a special pregnancy coat which is so thick it feels like im walking around in a duvvet!

LargeGlassofRed · 11/12/2008 21:35

forgot to say saw a new gp today to get a blood test sorted as I usually get aneamic when pregnant and feel like I am again, so getting a blood test in the morning.

He was lovely, nicest gp have ever met,
asked if my other births were staightforward, explained that the girls where born at home with dd2 born in a pool in the kitchen

Asked him the likelhood of having another homebirth?

He just grinned and said
'you may have a battle on your hands but go for it!'

Gillyan · 11/12/2008 22:53

so sorry gingermummy and bedhead I really am. Sending you big hugs.

I think coming on this forum has actually made me realise that the stats of 1 in 3 PG's end before 12 weeks are so so true. I wish I hadn't told anyone now until after 12 weeks as had a few scares already - everyhting crossed that we'll all be okay.

Gillyan · 11/12/2008 23:04

Well done on scans lydia and cristiana cristiana stay on this ante natal - don't leave!!

hobnob I have felt the cold more - I know it has been cold but I am always too hot usually. Hope your doing okay and looking forward to Xmas ( the wine and the wine and no sicky feeling )

largeglassofred I'm thinking of a homebirth if doc will agree and I fancy a birthing pool, how did yours go??

phoenix I took my DD the other day for scan and she saw it but they gave me 2 pics so she thinks there are 2 babies in there!

I haven't got a clue what sex this baby is, I was adamant throughout last PG that I was having a girl and I did but no feelings this time.

I want to find out at 20 wk scan but wouldn't tell anyone - well I'd tell you lot.

My sofa and chair and poof came today, very excited and I am going to continue to call it by it's rather grand shop name....'The Darian' how posh does that sound??!!

'hello midwife, would you like to take a seat on The Darian?'

'hello Mr meter man, mind The Darian'

'Grace do not jump on the fu@*ing Darian with your milk'

Ha ha ha

Hope as always everyone is okay - I ordered a curry tonight and ate

Chicken Tikka Massala, Peshwari Naan, boiled rice, poppadoms, mango chutney, mint dip, onion chutney. I feel really sick now and it's repeating on me - Urgh, never again

Gillyan · 11/12/2008 23:11
