Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

o yes, i do listen to radio 4 on the internet - i love my internet connection so much i could snog it. can't remember what i did before we were hooked up.

and whilst i'm waffling on about beauty stuff, liz earle's skin repair moisturiser is very good for stressed, unsettled pregnancy skin, as is Elemis SOS emergency cream if anyone has really inflamed skin. and i was recently given Philosophy's microdelivery exfoliator which is great.

i'd be a beauty if i could be bothered to actually stick to a routine....

Sympathies to the ms sufferers. I keep congratulating myself for being ok then immediately feel sick as a dog. Also to those with less than supportive dhs. Mine is thrilled but has had man flu for 3 weeks and so expecting me to wait on him hand and foot after his hard day at work (and i work full time too grrrrrrr....)

This scan business is so variable. When i was pregnant with ds we were away skiing for 3 weeks exactly when i was due for the nuchal thickness scan. I ended up finding a fetal medicine specialist in geneva. He was fab, in a swanky office and took plenty of time. I'd looked him up on pubmed to make sure he'd published in the area and knew what he was talking about. And all for the bargin price of about £100! So if anyone's willing to travel i completely recommend him!!
Those were the days, pre-baby holidays... (but i manaed to slip on some ice crossing a road and break my wrist a week into it... recommend swiss orthopaedic hospitals too)

xx

!!! angelina jolie!! And she gets to have sex with brad pitt. With the man flu i've forgotten what sex is. Think my hymen may have regrown!

I loooove benefit stuff. Try lemon aid for the liney eyes, and dear john moisturiser for dry pregnantskin

christiana yes, was very annoying! And do you know what my first reaction was, dh i'm so sorry for spoiling your holiday!?! (when in actual fact he just bought me shoes i could put on with one hand and abandoned me and skiied every day)

bozette · 26/11/2008 22:02

Thats brilliant christiana!! That is soo accurate!!

Hi everyone,

Welcome and congrats to all the new BFP's

Loving the IL stories

Not sure what scans we get here now but with ds (3yr ago) i had 12wk scan and 20wk scan. I'm waiting for midwife to ring to get booking in appointment. That should be sometime in the next 2 wks.

Still feeling sick all day here too. I'm really not wanting to go to work at the mo either as the christmas rush is definitely starting and the amount of mail been collected is going up day by day. I'm thinking of going on the sick in the next few weeks though as my baby isn't worth risking.

No sex here either. I'm too paranoid

Hope everyone's ok

ah i logged in this morning expecting to find tales that would make my toes curl - unfortunately not a lurid detail in sight

i'm paranoid too- and you only have to so much as brush against dh and he's stripped naked. i'm just afraid of dislodging anything (sounds ridiuclous as i type it but i can't help it) and i've just been so tired.

dh has been offering many a shoulder rub of late but i'm wise enough to know this invariably leads to a "naked hug" which invariably leads to [insert lurid details of your own choice]. i'll suffer knotted shoulders for a while yet

i'm flying with ds on saturday - i've never given him any unnecessary medication before a flight but i'm a bit nervous about how i'll cope if i'm not feeling well myself. have any of you ever given calpol or something similar before flying? i might feel to guilty to give him anything when he doesn't need it though.

mavornia · 27/11/2008 09:56

sorry, should read "too guilty" - my inner pedant grapples with my sloppy typing

gingermumi · 27/11/2008 10:13

Morning. MW just left (seems so soon to be seeing her!), have completed forms for nuchal and she's coming back in a couple of weeks to do booking appointment.

Phoenix am sure christiana's right and you must take care of you and the bubba

Morning all !!! Still feeling like I ve been hit by a lorry [dramatic I know but feeling sorry for myself ]

marvornia I gave DD1 a spoon of phenergan on a flight to Oz [she was three at the time] well she slept for nine hours I watched her for the whole time completely paranoid I had over dosed her it was the worst flight of my life really regretted giving it to her I don't give them anything now . I was recommended it by my doctor .

mickeylou · 27/11/2008 11:07

morning everyone! i feel rubbish today. had a very long day yesteday, boring course in manchester so was up at half 5 and didnt get home til 8. felt very wierd all day - think it was just the tiredness. on the way home there were so many people sneezing and coughing around me i had to restrain myself from tutting like an old woman or screaming "i am pregnant and i feel like shit, please do not give me any more of your germs!" unsuprisingly i have woken up with a cold so now i feel sick and i cant breath.

dh is also very overworked at the moment and does not seem to have the sympathy he had with ds. "you said you wanted another." has been said a couple of times. i know i did but i still reserve the right for someone to feel sorry (and a bit responsible) for my feeling like crap!!!!

something cheered me up to day on way to dropping ds off at mums house:

me: look at that big doggy.
ds: i can see it, it looks like a wolf.
me: it does, what does a wolf do?
(thinking he will make howling noise)
ds: he says i'll huff and i'll puff and
i'll blow your house down!

just made me think what a blessing DS is and how lucky we all are to to be having another!

gingermumi · 27/11/2008 11:17

had a bit of an argument with dh last night on grounds he was not being nice/cuddly/ treating me like a special princess etc etc, just looked back at thread from ds last year and we had same row at about same number of weeks . Me hormonal...never . Did notice that i was much sicker by 6 plus weeks last time though. Hopefully wont have it so bad this time (was sick all the way through )

mum2boys2girls · 27/11/2008 11:27

Unfortunately men have no understanding what is happenening to our bodies ie raging hormones , feeling like death warmed up and having to continue our normal lives as well as keeping secret that we are pregnant .

mickeylou hope you are staying home today and taking it easy sounds like a very long day yesterday ! made me smile what your son said they melt your heart don't they

gingermumi I was never sick with my last four pregnancy's so feeling like this has been a real shock how on earth did you get through it lasting the whole nine months I am praying mine will disappear soon [wishful thinking I think ]
