However have told dh this morning that we need to try "natural induction" tomorrow (IYKWIM!! ). How are you feeling today - any signs of anything happening yet?

Hey bonym,

How does it feel when they engage? Coz I think Kieran might be.

bonym · 18/03/2005 10:44

Well - put it this way - if you're waddling like a duck, then he's engaged .

OP posts:
norash40 · 18/03/2005 10:47

Then I think I am. I hope anyway.

Pidge · 18/03/2005 15:00

have totally failed to log in for a couple of days ... dp is back at work though my parents are still here thank goodness.

typing one handed with iris in the other and dd, plus my mum and dad napping!

leogaela what a fright with the railway - driving with a screaming baby is horrible - glad you are both ok.

sweeney - huge congrats.

good luck to those still with bump!

boneym - I think filling the pool only took half an hour - it's a bit of a blur as I was in transition / pushing by that point and too busy shouting abuse or (hilariously) hanging by my hands off our mantelpiece to take much notice. Anyway, didn't take too long. But I recommend filling it as soon as you get any signs of labour - you can always warm it up with some additional hot water later on.

norash40 - didn't see the thread with mckenzie on it ... will try to track it down now

must go ... iris beginning to holler!

3mummy · 18/03/2005 23:22

Hello Ladies,

Oooooh, how happy and relieved I am to be back and able to announce the birth of Faith, my third DD!

I shall put all the details of the labour and delivery in the birth announcement, when I get round to writing it! But for now I shall just tell you all Faith arrived at 04:13 on Wednesday morning weighing 6lb 4oz, after I was (finally) taken to delivery to be induced at midnight Tuesday night.

She is soooo tiny and so totally gorgeous I am in love all over again and she has taken to breastfeeding like a professional . We came home Wed afternoon as I developed an ear infection while in labour and burst my ear drum after delivery, so feeling rough I just wanted to be at home. Ear is getting better now and I managed to escape the birth with only a tiny tear and no stitches - which I was most pleased about seeing as I tore badly both previous times.

Must go for now, we are on a constant feed schedual at the moment . Hope you are all well and labouring nicely!!

Congratulations to the other new mommies .

Bonym and Norash40 - wishing you speedy labours that start A.S.A.P!

charleepeters · 19/03/2005 08:59

Ooh - I have turned into a right grouchy, short-tempered old bag this evening - was getting really grumpy with dd who kept saying "owww" when I was combing her hair just now after washing it. She said she wanted dh so I've come downstairs in a a huff and left them to it. Hormones? Oh bless - she's just come down and given me a big hug and said 'story time". How bad to I feel?

OP posts:
norash40 · 19/03/2005 21:46

Hey bonym still here gal

You are not alone. I think this boy of mine is going to be a rubgy player, only I don't know who he is kicking or tackling in my tummy. He has been kicking me for about 3 hours. not small kicks.

norash40 · 19/03/2005 21:47
Smile
norash40 · 19/03/2005 22:23

Congratulations 3mummy. I am so happy for you.

I am still waiting. Oh and thanks for the labour vibes. I hope it's my turn soon.

norash40 · 19/03/2005 22:25

Congratulations thedame. Hope you are enjoying your little bandle of joy.

bonym · 20/03/2005 05:30

OOh - think something might be happening. I've been awake since 4.30am with low back-ache and period-y type feelings. Have come downstairs to get some toast and a hot water bottle and have just had a show (well - I think so, don't remember having one with dd1). Backache getting worse but no contractions yet. If you don't hear from me later, you'll know what's happened. Watch this space...
