Spanglemaker i'm sure baby won't care if cardboard box or hanging crib go on you know you deserve it ( I love spending other peoples money!!

Frazledoldbag (so wish I thought of that!) no cvs before. I've read a bit about it and read up from the CF Trust forum (quite a few women have it done for the same reason) I'm not focusing on it too much I just have in my head that it's a biospy muchlike any other, I'm not going to let myself get wound up about it...... well at least that's what i'm going to try and do the reality well Spoke to the screening midwife at the local hospital on the phone a couple of times (she did talk me throught it be dd2 chose that exact moment to cause chaos! Have you got your date yet?

Sex what's that only did it twice and ended up with well it's fairly ovbious where Ive ended up

justgotabfp paracetomol is fine, not sure whether panadol has any added extras (caffeine etc ) but if purely paracetamol should be fine.

Dorchies · 04/10/2008 20:06

Hi All, Could I be added to the list. Have a due date of 19th May, and DD is now 20 months.

Had a 7 week scan done on Tuesday (as had fertility treatment) and all was great. One tiny heartbeat.

Feeling nauseas most of the time, but no actual vomitting. Last time it went on til 17 weeks so hoping it'll end a bit earlier this time.

Frazzel - you are not alone - I couldn't think of anything worse at the moment!!

Oh yeah - and we're not going to have any tests done - it wouldn't terminate for any reason, so there doesn't seem to be any point.

llareggub · 04/10/2008 20:18

Anyone else with norks that are quickly outgrowing bras? I think I need new bras already!

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 04/10/2008 20:24

llareggrub only managed 2 weeks out of my feeding bras from dd2 and I'm back in them again although I have been tempted to treat myself to something from the hotmilk range, think it's them that do the underwired nursing stuff?

Rubysmom08 · 04/10/2008 21:26

ooooooooh I feel so very poorly or !

I am feeling so sick all day long and it is worse at night

I have tried everything!

DD is 8 months and such a handful too I wasn't like this with her - felt a bit ropey but this is making me feel like death... and I am vile as well!

Me and DH were having words because I don't want to move huse and I wasn't shouting more like slurring my words because even speaking is an effort and he turned round and said 'say it don't spray it love.' I felt intense hatred for him all day- norml?

superdenki · 04/10/2008 21:29

Hi, please add me to the list, am due 10 May, already have a 2.5 yr old boy.

I feel much worse this time around although i think that's because i have to get up and run around after a toddler all day instead of lying on the sofa watching shit tv. But I'm suffering from terrific wind and bloating - it's really uncomfortable at times and gives me rotten tummy ache. Also have developed a craving for haribo. so it's not all bad

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 04/10/2008 21:39

rubysmom sadly I've been there and it's really not nice the nausea itself is so debilitating that in itself is tiring and an 8month old is no easy feat.

Not surprised you're feeling tired hormonal etc (but quite frankly vvv normal !)

Can you let you (D)h calm down then ask for some time just to rest.... you're not in a fit state to make any decisions atm.

On the postive side hopefully this will just be the first trimester fingers crossed

Spanglemaker - yes, enjoy Washington DC - tons of stuff to do with the kids, it's a really family orientated place (and plenty of grown up fun to be had too if you can get a sitter!)

MrsMonkey - Glad your numbers are going up - sending out the positive vibes. xxx

My sincere condolences to all of you suffering with the headaches. I had ridiculous headaches with DD2, but they stopped shortly after the 1st trimester. So far I haven't had them this time, but I remember it all too well. I did find warm flannels/gel packs etc helpful.

Don't seem to have made it onto the list so I just wanted to add myself!

frazzledoldbag34 · 05/10/2008 10:19

Doris - you are very sensible not to get wound up about the CVS - I'm just trying not to think too much about it! Having dating scan on Thurs so will get CVS date then. Should be in about 3wks time I suspect - tho not sure of my dates so could be sooner?

My nausea is lots better this morning - on one hand this is great news, and on the other hand I'm worrying about feeling OK! Can't win. Have just made pancakes for everyone for breakfast though which was lovely. I love doing a 'Nigella' on a Sunday morning!

Had a hideous dream on Friday night in which I had a miscarriage and woke up in the middle of the night convinced that I was covered in blood. Jumped out of bed and ran to the loo in a panic - of course it was just a dream and everything was fine. The memory of it is haunting me though - not nice. Anyway hope that it was just a bizarre vivid preganancy related dream and nothing more.
Have a good day all .

GreenFingeredMummy · 05/10/2008 13:04

MS has defo kicked in now, havent been on here for a while and there are too many new posts to read. Just wondered if anyone has found anything that actualy works for nausea, sick of it already and only 6 weeks gone...

Just read your post Umamimama, seems we're in the same boat. Im due on the 20th and have a 16mth dd as well. How about that . How you coping looking after your dd, mines just started walking, not great when you can't move from the setee! Not looking forward to May, she will be 2 on the 30th. Think I might go somewhere and hide...

Passed my driving theory test on Friday so thats one thing I dont have to worry about, and I got my first cleaning contract with my little company yesterday. But Im beginning to realise that this isn't going to be the best time to be pregnant, got too find someway of keeping everything going. Any other self employed mums wondering how they'll cope???

Going to go and wallow in the bath now, bye for now xx

CoteDAzur · 05/10/2008 16:26

I'm feeling much less tired today. My DB was with us over the weekend and we had lunch on the beach, in our t-shirts. Brilliant sunny weather.

Meanwhile, I have lost 2.5 pounds in the past week, with no nausea whatsoever This pregnancy is so different than my first, where I ate everything in sight and was in maternity clothes in the second month.

Dandelioness · 05/10/2008 18:14

I haven't gained any weight so far (well done me, managing to maintain for all of 7 weeks ), but I was just wondering whether I should get myself some maternity jeans. My current ones are a bit too indecently snug round my stomach now. Anyone in maternity clothes already?

CoteDAzur · 05/10/2008 18:32

I started wearing my maternity jeans since yesterday, thinking there was no point in putting pressure on my tummy.

Dandelioness · 05/10/2008 18:36

Ah, that's good to know Cote. When you said in your last post that this preg was so different to your last one where you were in mat clothes in the 2nd month, I assumed you hadn't succumbed yet ...

I need to get some maternity jeans. Any suggestions as to who does good ones?

CoteDAzur · 05/10/2008 18:42

Mine is Gap. It's great. I fit into my normal clothes but feel uncomfortable if sit for a long period of time (ex: in car).

I'm now obsessing about whether I may have had a missed miscarriage and don't know about it already, because I really have no symptoms. Even the tiredness seems to have gone.

Would there be any symptoms if embryo died but I didn't miscarry yet?

llareggub · 05/10/2008 19:11

CoteDAzur, this is something I talked to my GP about, as I have had 2 miscarriages this year. I told her that with one of the mc I knew because my symptoms had gone and because of spotting.

She told me that I should never worry about a lack of symptoms, as every pregnancy is different. I know it is hard, but she told me not to worry about symptoms/lack of symptoms and to eat well and get plenty of rest.

So don't worry.

llareggub · 05/10/2008 19:12

Oh and yes, I am wearing my maternity jeans and a pair of maternity yoga pants. Tops are fine, but my bras are getting indecently tight.

My work clothes are fine at the moment, so long as I stick to my post pregnancy wardrobe from last time!

SpangleMaker · 05/10/2008 19:21

Evening everyone

greenfingeredmummy congrats on passing your theory test. When do you think you'll be taking your practical?

I weighed myself today & was amazed to be a couple of pounds lighter than I was just before I got pg . Amazed because I feel like I've been eating constantly and my stomach is huge, but when I think about it I've been eating often but little, and I guess cutting out wine has had an effect (got to be some benefit to not drinking ). Still needing big clothes for my humongous (sp?) gut though.

Cote don't worry about no symptoms, it doesn't mean anything. I too have obsessed about mmc but it seems some people have lost some symptoms but many others don't, because the pg hormones are still there. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing, so it's best to try not to think about it.

OP posts:
CoteDAzur · 05/10/2008 19:22

I felt very tired for a couple of days but now even that is gone. I think my breasts are a bit more tender than before, but they don't hurt all the time like they did when pregnant with DD.

No spotting, though. Quite a bit of CM, but no dark color.

I have 10 days to go until my first doctor's appointment, and can't help but worry.

detsy · 05/10/2008 19:38

Hallo girls - just managed to catch up with everyone's posts again - it's so speedy!

I had my booking in appt and had all bloods done for everything nasty (Syphilis, HIV etc etc) Got my NHS dating scan on 14 October supposed to be in Sweden (me not scan) but am going to go for scan as otherwise will be more weeks of waiting. Unsure how to explain this to my boss...hmmm....

My NT scan is booked for 30 Oct (12+6)

Am already in new bras - bought 2 M & S cheapos and are already pinching. DP is amazed, I was hoping I wouldn't get the boob explosion as never deflated last time (gone are the days of being mistaken for a youg boy,

One of the neighbours (bloke, mate of DP) came round today and congratulated me by saying - Christ fatty look at the size of that (tummy) Turns out he knew anyway as my DP couldn't help but blab to him as well practically just after I'd wee'd on the stick! My mate who knows from work was round on Friday eve and she reckons I can't hide it anymore. I'm a bit worried by this really - I know its 2nd pg but surely tummy muscles can't have just packed in already. Am relieved that some people are already in maternity gear - I keep trying to breathe in but finding it much harder than before.

Off to make some pesto pasta - DP just gone out for choc supplies

detsy · 05/10/2008 19:41

Sorry cote crossed post.

No 2 pgs are the same so I think its likely that symptons or lack of them is quite normal. Would be great if we had little tummy windows wouldn't it!

I don't know what CM is and I keep seeing it on the posts - can you advise?

CoteDAzur · 05/10/2008 19:51

CM = cervical mucus.

Thanks for the reassurance, and I know I shouldn't worry, but it's hard.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 05/10/2008 19:57

Also having nightmares of mmc here had hyperemersis last 2 times so until today when I have actually felt sick on and off all day had almost convinced myself.

I (dangerously)read the stuff you guys write and think, god this is 3rd preg surely I should be falling out of my clothes by now everyone else is (sheep? me? baaaaaa!) Then I remember the critical point I'm def due end May beginning of June which puts me some 3-4 weeks behind..... and all is well with the world again!

Hope you all have a good night, I'm due some sleep as I was knacked but unable to sleep last night and have spent the day like a zombie, still just getting started I gues

llareggub · 05/10/2008 20:00

CM is a good sign, I think.

Febes · 05/10/2008 20:03

Hi everyone!! Haven't posted for a while so thought I'd find you all again. I am feeling ok but have been shocked at the size of my tummy this week. MY jeans are ok as they were post last pregnancy but other trousers are just a no no and I wore my maternity trousers to work on thursday. I felt so comfy
I have decided after thinking for a long time and discussing with DH that I am going to resign work and be a SAHM when LO is born. Scary but exciting. I am a teacher and have gone back 4 days a week after DD was born but won't be worth it with 2 under 2 as childcare will be so much so I will take full Mat pay and then find some sort of tutoring or something job that I can do when DH is at home so we have no childcare costs. I love my job and love teaching but my Head teacher is awful and clearly doesn't like part timers or mothers in general even though she is one. She has been very funny since finding out about this pregnancy and has asked me my plans for return already! I just don't need the agro! I feel better for making the decision. I'm not telling her until I have to though.
Anyway I hope you are all well and not too much MS. I get nausea at about 7am and again at 4.30pm but still feeling ok on the whole.
