MsSparkle - it really varies from woman to woman what it optimum to put on. I read somewhere the other day that the ideal is 21 pounds. But how there can be an ideal when we're all different shapes and sizes, is beyond me!?!?! I think they say all depends on your pre pregnancy weight. someone underweight at conception will need to gain MORE than "the average" than someone who was overweight to begin with. I felt like i havent seen the midwife for Ages either!
Four little feet- i wish i could do more exercise, i just get SO tired. i was a real gym bunny before i got pregnant, but spending the first 3 months with legs wrapped around u bend and head down toilet meant that i couldn't pick up where i left off. ALthough, very proud, i went for a FOUR mile walk yesterday in the beautiful sunshine- my feet were killer by the time i got home though. Trying to swim a bit, but i'm not really a water baby and can't say i enjoy swimming that much.
Forgot to say before. at my 20 week scan, they couldnt seen the placenta connection bit properly to check whether it was low lying or not. So booked in for a 36 week Scan to check it. I know this is protocol, but wondered if anyone else had this in previous pregnancies/ this one. From my early pregnancy reading i know if its too low, they wont allow me to birth naturally. Not thinking about it TOO much, but hoping not the case!! Strangely, my mum said she had to have the same thing with both me AND my sister, and in both cases it was fine & she gave birth naturally.
Wow, i have waffled. Sorry ladies!
