Hahaha that's the funniest argument I've seen in a long time, thank you October ladies for the giggles! I wish the ladies on your thread who are getting induced early all the best, I hope they've not been having a bad time of it to need the induction.

EandZ - Errrgh to green discharge, but yay too because it's better than your waters leaking! As for this woman, sounds pretty harmless to be honest, unless she has any previous for being a wierdo? It sounds like she just wants to do a good old bit of curtain twitching via email! That, or maybe send you a congrats card maybe, is she a family friend?

I've been out in the garden all day with a sewing machine making reusable wipes whilst my parents and DP build our garden fence - I'm not too sure how it's taken me four hours to make three wipes though!

mamamufin · 30/08/2008 16:37

How strange eandz?

However, I would be very curious as to why she is interested so much in you.
Maybe she is generally interested or making polite conversation?
Maybe you ex friend has asked her to find out? Does she want to be friends again and still cares for you?
Is the reason why your ex friend is no longer a friend making you suspetious? I dont know.

However, I think I would have to email/ chat to her directly to find out why she wants to know. This way you can avoid any trouble maybe and put your mind at rest. Hope that helps x

eandz · 30/08/2008 16:39

lollipopmother
sitting in the garden sewing sounds like soo much fun. i love to sew! (i'm crap at it though!)

as far as the woman goes...the only time we've ever spoken was right before my wedding when she told me i would go to hell for my religious beliefs (my dads muslim/ mom is jewish so i just pick and choose)... her sister who was my friend was told to stay away from me and i was pretty much black listed from that crowd. (didn't matter much to me).

she's in tx and she already thinks my family is really weird; we ignore her mostly. but now she's just trying to get my london contact info and (a few minutes ago) sent my husband a facebook message as well as an email. it's making me feel a bit uneasy, so i'll just tell him to ignore her.

biglips · 30/08/2008 16:39

Eandz - well at least you went into hosp to get it checked out...better be safe than sorry.

We are all not being patience on here arent we??? as with my first i was soo patience but i didnt have any other kids to look after now ive got a DD, i so want this out!!!

eandz · 30/08/2008 16:41

biglips
are your lips really big? i've been so bored lately i made lip plump the other day since i didn't have the ingredients for that carrot cake.

i've never been patient. i have to do everything ahead of time. (except getting places..then i'm always late).

biglips · 30/08/2008 16:42

we've all got full lips in this family

milkbeard · 30/08/2008 16:50

welcome mum2bagain eandz how you feeling, bit of anti-climax for you i bet

am very tired today, dd has cold so was up alot in the night and awake at silly o clock today. so when she went for nap this pm i thought i would join her, never usually do this as tend to do bits of house work so can just chill in front of tv on evening. so why oh why did neighbours son decide to play with his drum kit this afternoon-has had bloody thing since christmas and never heard him 'play' it before . am calming down now cos he's a lovely lad, must be the old hormones!

hope everyone having a lovely day xx

eandz · 30/08/2008 16:53

biglips
after using my homemade lip plump, i too will have a full set of lips. but only for up to 6 hours i think.

jearund · 30/08/2008 16:59

I was in tears last night too - I watched Juno and in the scene where she gave birth I was sobbing loudly! Thank goodness it was on DVD and not in the cinema! It was the sight of the new baby especially....all too real!

Is anyone else feeling huge, hot and lethargic today? It's 29 degrees here both in and out and was 28 in our bedroom all night (I know as I got very little sleep yet again). DH is working this afternoon but is popping home at 6:30 to put DD to bed as I still can't lift her. So just need to get through 2 more hours!

The good news is that the chiro has helped my back. I'm in a lot less pain now after 2 sessions. Shame they are not on the NHS as I have to go back for another on Tuesday and we've already spent all next month's budget and it hasn't even started yet! Most of it has gone on baby/ toddler things....why is it I can be disciplined when it comes to spending money on myself but not on my little darlings?

ninja we're already in separate rooms. Between DH snoring and me up every hour if I sleep at all it's better - at least he gets some sleep then and can take DD (if he's not at work) during the day to give me a break. No point us both being tired and grumpy!

Imoscarsmum my DH never read any of the baby/ pregnancy stuff first time round. He prefers to look things up on the internet as and when he needs them. At the time I used to get really upset about it too but he's turned out to be a brilliant dad so I just let him do things his way now!

milkbeard · 30/08/2008 16:59

lollipopmother am impressed with sewing. not heard of home made wipes, do you just use water with them. would love to be able to sew, knit etc but am total rubbish. started knitting dd patchwork blanket when she was 6 months, now 2 and only done 1 square

eandz think you should ignore her especially if rude to you in past. how do you make lip pump. everyone on tis thread putting me to shame with baking, cooking sewing.

biglips · 30/08/2008 17:00

arrghh!!...this baby wanna come out in a Alien style!!!! as its trying to do a full turn! and also outward of my tummy!!.............ouch!!!

eandz · 30/08/2008 17:16

i make my lip plump with: vaseline, ground coffee, red chilli powder and cinnamon.

hopefully · 30/08/2008 17:24

Just got back from town, where we managed to spend the most obscene sum of money getting some pictures framed. not quite sure how that happened.

Eandz am intruiged by home made lip plump - I might have to try making some! Am definitely not up to making reusable wipes though - bought some hideously overpriced ones from Green Baby in Greenwich instead.

eandz · 30/08/2008 17:34

Hopefully
you've reminded me that i need to actually put up our wedding/family pictures now that i know my step mother will be here on the 11th. i also have to decorate this place to make it look less like a mans bachelor pad and more like the home of a couple expecting a child.

any advice?

milkbeard · 30/08/2008 18:09

biglips · 30/08/2008 18:10

just a question...

i want to use the breast pump now so my nipples be ok for when the baby arrived...ive got very sensitive nips and i thought i was ripping my nips off with the pump. What is the best way to use it? eg put cream on nips first or whatever??

MelT76 · 30/08/2008 18:18

Well busy day here. Washed baby clothes and ironed them, made a peg bag as fed up of trying to pick them up off the floor when I drop them, just ate home made chilli and will be making mountains of choc chip brownies for nan's 80th party later on. No wonder I feel knackered

You have a lovely way with words Star youve said what I wanted too .

Jenpet your birth story sounds amazing, I want one like that too.

Im not convinced about reusable wipes. Has any one ever used them in RL? Top marks for making them though lolli eandz your lip plump sounds painful.

I am off to a caley dance with work tonight. I dont think I will be doing much dancing though . However a fish and chip van is coming to the event so it should be ok. .

eandz · 30/08/2008 18:34
