Singing I am more than happy to do you a little package of Mother and Baby, Pregnancy and Birth etc.

Email me if you like- [email protected]

dinkystinky · 29/08/2008 19:58

aargh - just typed big message then deleted it all. Think I've caught Pinktulip's IT bug!

Am here (waiting for grocery delivery as dont fancy broccoli on toast - all we have in the house at present, god knows what DS has been eating today!). Told roommate at work today about pregnancy - had been dreading it a bit as she miscarried twins earlier this year; she took it really well and was really sweet though v appreciative of the fact I'd waiting to tell her until as late as possible (she's in a much better place now than she was 4 weeks ago). She said she did suspect once (when refused drink at works do) but as have been usual self since, decided she must have been wrong - I tell you, my fat suits are miraculous in hiding my heffa-bump! Will tell rest of work next week and then heffa-bump can be out and proud.

Was 10.4 when got pregnant - am pretty sure I passed the 11 stone mark some time ago but deliberately not weighing myself. The way I see it, my clothes fit (sort of, well the maternity ones anyway), am eating well and v active and fit so what weight I put on is meant to be..

Clarabumps · 29/08/2008 20:01

i cant really be arsed buying anthing either..i just keep thinking"plenty of time..." but at this stage the last time i had nearly bought the whole of baby gap..

MarkStretch · 29/08/2008 20:05

DH says we are not allowed to buy anything until after the 20 week scan.

Oh, another thing, I refused that triple test thingy today. I felt that regardless of the results I wouldn't change anything now so didn't really see the point.

dinkystinky · 29/08/2008 20:12

Your DH sounds v superstitious Markstretch.

MarkStretch · 29/08/2008 20:14

Or a bit tight dinky

Nah just think he wants to make sure all is ok.

Singingintherain · 29/08/2008 20:30

Thnaks for your offer spottyshoes. DH will be travelling from London to Nottingham unfortunately, so probably a little hard.

I have also declined an amnio, as like you MarkStretch I don't want to know. I have been through too much to change my mind. I have had a part Nuchal Scan without bloods. The spacing appeared fine and so was the nasal bone.

I am just starting to buy things. I did with the first MC and just saved them. I managed to get a sling and a bed nest. My Mum lives near factory shops and has been buying things to save for me. I am going to collect them nearer the time. Sometimes you just have to take a risk, but I only buy if it is an mega bargain and my Mum understands totally the risk of buying me things.

Singingintherain · 29/08/2008 20:31

Thanks MarkStretch. I have sent you an email.

spottyshoes · 29/08/2008 20:56

Well let me know how you feel nearer the time as we are only half hr ish from Nottingham and dont mind popping over for some baby shopping in Nov

Right, have been playing with my profile as despite adding some of your names weeks ago it seems to have deleted them so only Markstretch can see it!!??? Have just re-tried it so hopefully it is working again?

spottyshoes · 29/08/2008 20:59

Well as in you can see more than 1 pic, I think everyone can see the profile page???

MarkStretch · 29/08/2008 21:05

winemakesmummyclever · 29/08/2008 21:29

Evening, hope everyone is well.

I so wish that we had a Domino's near us - it was great, though disastrous for the hips, when dh and I were dating and he lived in Chorlton.

I put a good 3 stone on with ds and kept just under a stone of it on since then. I started off at 10.7 and am now 10.2 and have been for the last week or so. Not worried as am getting a wee bump and food is finally becoming my friend again after weeks of hugging the toilet.

Still no flutters. but it is early days.

My niece left a big bag of Haribo tangfastic sweeties last weekend - cor, how good are they? Am currently telling myself that I really do not need to eat that treacle sponge and custard in the kitchen. Maybe a wee bit of cheese is in order instead .

oooggs · 29/08/2008 21:32

evening all

dinkymum · 29/08/2008 22:34

DinkyS i'm originally from Lincoln but still that sort of area so must be!

Cocodrillo · 30/08/2008 06:30

I was born in Lincs, and lived there till I was 18. My parents, brothers and nan are still in the area. Oh, and one of my bfs.

spottyshoes · 30/08/2008 07:11

I'm in Lincoln! Not born here though.

DS slept 7-7 for the 1st time ever! (usually 7.30-6) didn't think it was possible! I'm still knackered

spottyshoes · 30/08/2008 10:21

Goodness, Done the shopping, washed some nappies, been to the park and done some gardening already this morning and its not even 10.30! Foof bone is playing up a bit now tho, was going to take DS swimming in a bit but I think we might stay in and do a bit of quiet colouring instead. Keep forgetting i'm pg and cant keep on the go as much, bloody SPD

Everyone well this morning?

MarkStretch · 30/08/2008 11:10

Morning all.

So far today we have had a small lie in, DH came home from nights and jumped in the warm bed.

Then we went out to the shop and got supplies for this afternoons cooking fiesta! DD and I are making flapjacks, apple and berry crumble and a lasange. No doubt we will have a repeat of last week and DH will scoff it all when he comes in from football later

Have a friend coming over this afternoon and making everyone tea and bacon sandwiches so it seems I will be spending the day in the kitchen but I love it.

Got some lamb shanks too to make Nigella's spicy moroccan lamb stew for tomorrow.

Right I'll shut up about food now!

On the baby side of things I've been feeling more and more wiggles (17 wks today) but finding it impossible to stay on my side all night and keep waking up on my back- anyone else?

spottyshoes · 30/08/2008 11:18

Ah my parallel but slightly different life! We had morroccan lamb on Tuesday
We (I) are making lasagne for dinner and have a lemon cake in the oven as I type - smells lush. And DH will eat it all after Cricket!! We obviously have good taste in food MS (and greedy sporting husbands)

I'm a front sleeper and keep waking up on my tummy which is painful. Dont know how to stop doing it!

Cocodrillo · 30/08/2008 12:21

When did your SPD come on SpottyShoes? I had it quite badly last time round, from about 20 weeks though. This time I gone to see an oseopath to try to stop it happening. No symptoms yet, but who knows?

Any others with/or who have had SPD?

spottyshoes · 30/08/2008 12:31

Very early on this time, I felt the early tell tale signs about 10weeks so far I dont really notice anything apart from niggles unless I overdo it. Had it from 25wks last time and that was early enough!!!

Hope you manage to escape it this time.

MarkStretch · 30/08/2008 12:41

Wow spotty- we do have parallel but slightly different lives....how weird...
