Cyteen - I have been moaning at DH to give me a foot and back rub and run me a bubble bath since I got pregnant! He keeps saying "oh, I didn't want to do it just after you asked me because then it would look like I was only doing it because you asked me... now I have to wait another week" Argh!

Ooooh, TS - are your contractions all regular?

LOW...just starting to count contractions again this very moment. I've been on the phone with loads of family this evening, mostly about how I'm doing....then there was a bit of family drama I had to deal with too. I officially can not stand my SIL and my dad's wife!!! And I finally have voicemail proof that THEY are HORRIBLE.....got to play the message for both my dad and my brother. Got a emotion from both!!

ANYWAY I'm having LOADS of downward pull (oops almost forgot i'm tracking contractions).....4 minutes apart now but just started. Haven't wanted to eat to much this evening. Don't know if that's because I was on the phone or because of the family drama or because I'M IN LABOUR!!! {{{twilight looks like a wild fury with hair all in disarray, mumbling nonsense to all}}}

Sazzles dear I see nothing wrong with your food intake for the day.

Eeek, try and stay calm about the family drama (know about those all too well!), stress might be aggrevating (can't spell) the contractions. I know when I get stressed I get a sore tummy. Let us know how far apart they are Hope your family aren't upsetting you or anything (no idea if you've said anything on the threads as I never keep up!)

Whew...scared me. Name changes and pregnancy brain . And yes the drama did INCREASE the contraction level. But at this point, I'm cool with that.

Still no solid rhythm but harder and between 5 and 2 minutes apart.

hard pressure....a little crampiness
similar to times before BUT she's gotten so low that things feel different which is hard to describe.

Rest as much as you can TS at this stage. And don't get disheartened if the rate of contractions varies as time goes on -- they do tend to slacken off every now and again, and get going of their own accord ...

Are you going to move yourself into the 'in process' group before you head off to hospital?

morning everyone..

ooooh maybe you are having your baby now TS huge hugs and labour vibes!!!

Big hugs to dizzy and albs on feeding issues.. i haven't breastfeed so cannot offer any advice but huge hugs...

now after all my weeks of trying to get this baby out i am praying she stay where she is.. why? because dh has a horrible yucky tummy bug and is bed bound... which means that i have to look after dd all by myself and if i did go into labour i don't think i would want his puking frame beside me!!!!!

I am just praying is not catching as that is the last thing me and dd now!!!

Anyway sorry for me me me post.... help yourself to my vats of coffee, tea and huge basket of hot muffins hmmmm yummy

Morning all and I see a few more have popped out! Congratulations - love the names.
sibh I see you were a bit previous naming me - ds2 keeps wriggling down, everyone keeps saying 'can't be long now', 'when are you due' blah blah blah but he is definitely still in there! dd got up at 4.30am yesterday so it was a hard day given that we had neighbours over for a barbecue (in the rain) in the evening......but got through it.
dizzy Was wondering if you have tried nipple shields to try and allow your nips time to heal while Dylan carries on feeding?? Hope you get some help on the bf section.
albs Your dd will be ok - it takes time to adjust to the new family dynamic but you will do it. And it does get easier. Having said that I can remember it only too well and I'm sure I will be weeping for Britain too in a couple of weeks. I really enjoy bf but the constant feeling of being nothing but a dairy cow in the early days gets very very wearing. It does suddenly calm down if you can just get past the first 6-8weeks.

did anyone else get up and look outside this morning and react with shock that their house hadn't turned into an ARK overnight?!? I cannot believe how much rain we had overnight - farking british summer time tis beautiful sunshine now but goodness knows they'll need to be wellied up before going anywhere

petitfilou haven't tried the nipple shields yet - the cracking etc seems to have settled down and as long as she's not givng me new ones I can cope with the initial toe curling for the first 10seconds

found dh asleep on the girls' bedroom floor last night bless him, dd2 was not happy about the rain bouncing off the velux and was shouting a lot last night so we were going through and trying to settle her - I woke up at one point realised he wasn't in bed but I could hear him snorning so went through and there he was sound asleep on their floor - he'll no doubt be sore for it this morning
