Dylansmum - congratulations! Have you decided on a spelling? I like both pronunciations (helpful!).
Lazylou - congratulations also
Essie - glad you and your son are safe - sounds as though there were scary moments.
Needahand - I'll be telling everyone I know about hypnosis in labour! It's great isn't it?
Josey - I love Olivia's spiky hair. So sorry you have an infection. It must be so difficult to find the space to look after yourself. I hope Olivia's next round of tests brings good news.
Deb - hope you're hatching as I type!
Sorry if I've left anyone out...
I saw the mw today and it was lovely to see her. They did 2 more home deliveries that day . Apparently we are the talk of the hospital and the midwife has added to the story by telling everyone that DH and I are lawyers and FiL a consultant anaesthetist .
Thea is feeling really well and my milk seems to be coming in. Bit sore. The afterpains are the pits - they really take my breath away. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Poor DD1 is finding things difficult. She came into my bed last night and slept very badly and woke up at 5am in a foul mood (from lack of sleep) but also very clingy. I'm trying to give her as much love and attention as possible, but I hadn't really considered the logistics of it. For example, I was drinking less water during the night than I should have becuase I wasn't sure how I'd manage going to the loo without taking either Thea or DD1 with me. DH was in the boys' room so I'd have more space in the bed so I couldn't get him to keep an eye. I'm sure I'll find a system but if anyone has any advice it would be welcome.
Agree we should all stay on this thread and then graduate together.
