We are two down and have another 30-40 to go. Makecakes and Gemma have probably popped by now, then G43! It's all happening!!!!!

Hahahah, Rolf, you should never have mentioned gerbils! I was imagining little pink noses and ears, personally...
Oh, nips like dolly mixtures {weeps}.

Hello Allnew, maternity clothes are tight here. I have loose trousers which I bought a few weeks ago (and they're the only things I've worn, including washing overnight and wearing in the morning), but my maternity jeans are now, well, snug fitting over the bum and hips is a nice way of putting it... By the way, this is the best thread. Be careful on some of the others!

LauraT · 30/05/2008 14:21

we need to decide on a new name people...

this thread is fast running out.

think so far the suggestions are

  1. Due June 08: S**t it IS June, and I still haven't packed my hospital bag...

2.Due June 08: nests are being made, eggs are slowly starting to hatch, nerves are being frayed!

3.Due June 08: June is here, so where are the bloomin' babies!!!???

  1. Due June 08: June is here, some of the eggs are hatched and nerves are beginning to fray for those left behind!

Rolf - your DH's response about your maternity clothes made me laugh.
I was imagining your nipples were furry with little biting teeth! Now that would be a worry.

Allnew - hello! I'm totally fed up of maternity clothes, good job I'm on maternity leave because I'm just slobbing around in the same comfy stuff every day. I end up undoing my trousers when I sit down and keep standing up and they end up round my ankles, wouldn't have been good at work!

ktpie · 30/05/2008 14:23

LauraT - number 1 would be appropriate for me!

systemsaddict · 30/05/2008 14:29

One of the few advantages of SPD - the support belt keeps the maternity jeans up!! (Saw discussion of support belts a few pages back btw - I only have the NHS 'spider' one with three overlapping velcro layers, but it has been a complete lifesaver for me.)

PearTart · 30/05/2008 14:31

Hello Allnew- are you doing the maternity-jeans-shuffle and hoiking them up every few steps?! I do have one pair like that for short journeys/ in the house and an over the bump pair that mercifully stay up when I have further to go.

Rolf- phew (I think)

systemsaddict · 30/05/2008 14:33

We were all on the same page then, I was mutely sympathising over the furry nipples too, relieved it wasn't that!!

I alos vot no. 1

Upsidedowncake · 30/05/2008 14:45

Afternoon ladies

My you have been busy this morning. I still haven't packed my hospital bag (though have made a list) so No 1 is good for me! Do we want to lever in creme eggs agan or leave it at that?

Rolf, furry nips. I skim-read it, sympathised with you and then went back and discovered you weren't in fact Preg Wolf! I have a furry tummy though, which I had with DS but had forgotten about.

Is Debs all right / MILLing or giving birth?

Josey, hope you're OK

Aberdeen, hope you're feeling better

Sorry to all others who haven't slept well

LOL Sponge's trampoline. I'll stand around clapping at the sidelines if that's OK.

Took DS to have his haircut today. The trauma ... he was terrified. Lots more chicken pox scars uncovered as well.

vote for no 1 from me too. Does it count that I have some stuff in a drawer?

raspberry leaf tea still in packet unopened..am on capsules in stead .

laurat you're defintely allowed to go slow in your last few days (says she who then had to do stuff up until yesterday to finish up but thats not point..

rolf am very mystified re gerbils/nipples refernce or do I not want to know?

LauraT · 30/05/2008 14:50

right I've started the new thread as there were several votes for no. 1 [proud emoticon!]

it should be [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2290/539707?rnd=1212155342100 here]

LauraT · 30/05/2008 14:50

sorry, try here

needahand · 30/05/2008 14:54

Blimey you have all be chatty again! Can't catch up.

Welcome allnew I hope you will brace yourself for the chattiest (and hopefully friendliest) thread around. Be warned, if you miss more than two days it is impossible to catch up!

I am way behing but for whoever asked about raspberry leaf tea. I am 37 weeks today (horray I am officially term and because this one didn't try to escape early if I am every pregnant again I will be low risk for pre-term birth and I am on three tablets and one cup of tea. I have been going easy on the stuff until now just in case of pre-term birth (didn't want to increase my risk). I started with one cup from 34 to 35 weeks and took two tablets at 36 weeks. Now can't wait to get the baby out so I thought I would up the stakes a bit.

GF I went to join my local freecycle group but blimey it is complicated. You are only short of writing a motivation letter to join the group . I hope the rest of the process will be easier!

Ernest how is the rash going (or shall I not ask in case you had a two minute respite and you forgot about it)

And where is debs? Any news from paro yet.

My maternity clothes aren't too tight, but my bump seems to have a will of its own and escapes from everything (tops and pants alike) so I always have a bit of bump on show which is very very sighty!

For the names I like 2 or 4. No offence but most of us have prepared bags already [polishes halo emoticon and stucking out tongue at those who haven't packed bags]

Roll on babies

poppy34 · 30/05/2008 14:55

good work laurat do we have to finish this one now? And what is hatch count on this thread - neenz, makecakes,g43 and katyjo or have I missed any?

poppy34 · 30/05/2008 14:57

needahand sympathise re rogue gut.. got very cross on behalf of ulrika johnsson (I blame hormones for this rare show of solidarity) when daily mail online had picture of her showing bump and going on abou how big she was.. serves me right for looking at the website.
