I third! I hated my DP SIL for weeks (even though I knew she would have hers before me, 6 weeks in total) and I would pretty much cry everytime there was a birth announcement on here, even though I wasnt even due!

And I can guarantee that I will still be sitting in hospital on Friday without a LO! Little bugger does not want to come out, feel like such a failure for not being able to did it au naturale, but I now just keep concentrating on the fact that it will be here soon.

However, if one one person says to me 'it will come when its ready' I will fish slap them!

we have had kittens!! last night the cat appeared, we hadnt seen her for a day, and she was all skinny. eventually found her nursing kittens under a bush. we have 4, 3 tabbies and one black, all feeding and all looking well.

we knew she was pg btw, not just a random suprise!

Just heard we're doing Bridgwater carnival this year, wonder how ds3 willreact to a crowd of 150,000? !

Might be going camping next weekend if weather OK - definitely week after. Yay! Can't wait!

Ellie: Keep at the BF, it sounds like you are doing the right thing. The more your boobs are stimulated the more milk you will have. Apparently eating avocados help too (?). Sometimes it just takes time. I had similar problems with my milk coming in because LO wasn't sucking. It's such a pain to be expressing so much at the early stages. I had to give LO some formula feeds because of her weight loss and to be honest it worked wonders for her weight gain but I still kept at the BF and she quickly came back to being exclusively breast fed. It can help to write down how long she is staying on the boob then you can be more sure that she is satisfied before deciding not to give her formula top up (sometimes when they are sleepy does not mean they are satisfied so it's good to time the feed just to get an idea).

Isn't the weather fab! although I have to avoid taking LO out in the middle of the day. I love getting her out early and sitting in a café early morning. The wonder of a pram - I love the way the movement just rocks the babies straight to sleep!

We've just been to the skip to throw out some of DH's old computer stuff (I've got the perfect excuse with new LO needing all the space ). I got a sick satisfaction from throwing the keyboard out...

Then ended the early afternoon by having a picnic in the park - in this weather it just felt wrong not too! What's everyone else doing today? I wanted to have a barbecue, but reconed it's easier to just pack picnic up if LO gets bored with us.

Hello there - just in very quickly...

Gabriella Summer was born on 5 May at 08:27am by c section (very awful and traumatic). 8 pounds 4oz, 58 cm.

She is beautiful - a real angel.

I'll put a pic of her up now.

So sorry to hear about traumatic birth, but wonderful news about little Gabriella Summer. Love her names Hope you feel better after cs and that you've got someone around to spoil you.

Congratulations to everyone who has had their lo's!

Gabriel finally arrived 11 days late and was a whopper at 10 lbs! I did have to be induced in the end, and after a day and a half, he finally decided to come out very quickly, only time for gas and air.

Ellie sorry to hear that bf is hard going, ds is only feeding with nipple shields too, which is very frustrating, I was hoping that dc3 would be a great feeder, but hopefully he will get there soon. Have seen a bf councillor and she suggested lots of skin to skin and having baths with baby, as well as breast compression and switch feeding, hope this may help you, sorry if you have heard it all before.

Hi everyone! Little Astrid Mary was born yesterday, May 10, at 10.20 am. 8lbs 8oz.
In the end I went into labour naturally at 4.30 am before I was due to go to the hospital to be induced at 8.00. Ridiculously surreal car journey as I insisted on having a cooked breakfast first and nearly left it too late. Too late for epidural, and had pethidine 10 mins before she arrived.
And no stitches!!!!! I am so pleased, so much better than last time. She's sleeping and eating well - but its early days....
