Upsidedowncake · 09/05/2008 15:14

Congratulations, You're our first!
Wow! You are amazing giving birth to TWINS without an epidural and I am so pleased you didn't have to a C section or anything.

bitofadramaqueen · 09/05/2008 15:23

I joined the thread last week (I think) and haven't had time to post! Am now 36+5 and thoroughly fed up. I can't get any sleep because I have to wee about 10 times a night, can't get comfortable and have horrible periody type pains constantly I am really exhausted too, I am used to being up and about every day but today I am not even dressed Dd is being as good as gold drawing pictures while I lie on the sofa. Are constant cramps normal at this stage? I have had a dodgy tummy most of the week as well, and what I thought was a show on Monday, so I had thought things were getting started but evidently not. Hope everyone else is doing better than me!

debinaustria · 09/05/2008 15:47

Can't see through the hormonal tears to type!! Neenz - you are a remarkable Mummy, twins with gas and air- well done, and tandem feeding too.
Esther and Theo are just gorgeous.

I want these next 4 weeks to fly by now

so who'll be next G43 or Makecakes?

debinaustria · 09/05/2008 15:48

Have you seen the MW this week little lamb? I would see if you could get yourself checked over - sounds like early labour to me.

littlelamb · 09/05/2008 15:53

No Deb I have an appointment booked for Monday, it is virtually impossible to see my midwife on short notice. I could go to the maternity unit, who have been lovely so far when I have had problems, but I think I will sit it out. It is not painful, just uncomfortable and I am really tired. I was getting more cramps than usual when washing up, but I have realised that its probably because I can't really reach the sink anymore! It is beginning to worry me how I will get through labour with so little energy- I was induced with dd and was laid strapped to various monitors the whole time and its not an experience I wish to repeat and was really hoping for a more active birth.

bitofadramaqueen · 09/05/2008 15:59

Can you speak to the maternity triage at your hospital littlelamb to get some reassurance/advice.

I'm an (exhausted) first-timer so no experience of labour but I'm sure when it comes to the labour adrenalin etc will keep you going. Hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations Neenz . What a brilliant birth story - well done. Your babies are beautiful and have the most wonderful names. So pleased for you (wipes away a tear).

PiggyPenguin · 09/05/2008 16:06

Fantastic Neenz, well done! I haven't been online in a few days and was wondering if your babies had been the first to arrive! They are beautiful, you must be so proud.

So, do we think the floodgates are going to open now? I still have 5 weeks to go but feel awful so am hoping for a slightly early one, who will be next I wonder...
