Did you double check the dozen internet distributors listed on the easywalker website. Surely one of those ships to the UK. I just was on one site that took paypal that's usually a good sign.

Just popping in to catch up on todays chat before I leave my desk and head home. Am knackered! Overslept by an hour today but couldn't care less, needed the rest anyhow.

Will post more later when ds in bed....

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 17:28

there is only one showing for the UK and they only have red/navy and black - am also a bit apprehensive re spending this amount on a buggy I can't see a review on or see in person

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2008 17:32

Dizzy there's an aqua one on amazon.com and they offer international shipping.... look here.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2008 17:36

Whew... international shipping is confusing. Here's all the amazon.com can/will do.

Aah so I was missed
VG.. Cunning idea re nursing top! I'll perfect a design for the perfect nursing top and then make it for you in the blue fabric. Sound like a plan?I'm guessing easy access to norks is the key thing, anything else I should incorporate?
Dizzy.. I hope you won't be keeping a new pram anywhere near your house ;)

miamla · 28/05/2008 17:48

Oh and I will be definitely joining you with a glass of wine tonight. DP just rang, he's passed his course so we're off to visit our new local tonight!

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2008 17:54

Sazzles I liked the gift. I actually have another figurine out of that group.

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 18:04

miamla new pram won't be getting anywhere near to house, infact I may have to convince a friend to arrive with it once lo is here and announce that they found an unused pram and would I like it for free

dh threatening to divorce me if I get a new one and not second hand from ebay

sazzles the willow tree stuff is nice, I think I've bought my parents AND the inlaws the grandparents one - we don't do ornaments in this house, no point really as its a constant demolision site - glad weather bit better for you - has poured down here all farking day

TwilightSurfer · 28/05/2008 18:29

Well so much for no energy. I've cleaned 3 quarters of my kitchen. Straightened my laundry room. Cleaned out my cleaning supply cabinet. Done three loads of laundry. Balanced my checkbook. Played with DD. Cooked lunch. Passed out snack. And it looks like the sun may be trying to come out. My only goof was a rewarded DD with a DVD that apparently we already had....my pregnant mind has done it to me AGAIN!! She doesn't seem to mind.

CaptainCaveman · 28/05/2008 18:37

Well I've come home, read Heat magazine and eaten a cheese sandwich. Wish it was bed time already!!!
Now, pudding. Hmmm, jam donut or Angel delight (again)....choices, choices.

Yes we missed you miamla and its nice to have you back.

Sorry your weather is so crappy sazzles - will keep praying for sunshine to break through the clouds and bathe you, and you alone!

libbyssister how come you are on mat leave already? And I think I missed your post - was your sisters scan ok?

TS the scan pics look MARVELLOUS! Am very tempted to try and persuade dh that we should have one done!! She just looks so cozy in there, snuggled up in mummy's belly!

ps. ds not in bed yet (I said I would post when he'd gone to bed) - I've just snuck upstairs whilst he watches Tom & Jerry with dh.

Buckets · 28/05/2008 19:53

Hi all
Glad everyone is doing ok this half term.
Funnily enough we cancelled our camping break this week! Managed to get 2 nights family room in a youth hostel instead which was surprisingly nice although rather more expensive LOL (£70 a night b&b). We also had some vomiting antics from our DD, got through both spare bedlinen sets on Monday night, one t-shirt and one brand new emergency t-shirt plus carseat on Tuesday. Apart from that she had a lovely 5th birthday apparently!
Got my eyebrows shaped at last though, yippee. Must book haircut for BIL's wedding next Friday.

miamla · 28/05/2008 20:00

CC surely it would be rude not to have doughnut AND angel delight!

Sounds like you had an awful lot of vomit! Was that all from a five year old??!!

CaptainCaveman · 28/05/2008 20:02

So the jam donut won...

Ds now in bed, dh in the pub and I'm contemplating a super early night with glee

Wise move on cancelling the camping buckets - ewwww, perish the thought of being stuck under a cold damp canvas this evening.....

Also having lots of bh's here too - baby currently feels like it is square shaped in my hard abdomen!!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 20:03

am seriously considering going to bed right now, dh upstairs reading the monsters dc a story and the minute they're quiet I'm off myself

having done sod all today I've a bloomin cheek to be tired

CaptainCaveman · 28/05/2008 20:03

Trust me miamla, I would have had both but I had no bowls left in which to make Angel delight - they are all in the process of being dish-washered. I did contemplate pouring the mixture and milk straight into my mouth but then ds wouldn't have been able to share.....still, now he's asleep he'll never know!!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 20:05

CC do it do it do it!!!! I want to know if its possible

contemplating sending dh to the shed for a cornetto before bed - all those empty but necessary calories!

did anyone else turn the heating on today - was freezing here so gave in at 5pm and stuck it on for a couple of hours

CaptainCaveman · 28/05/2008 20:15

Maybe one day dizzy if I get desperate enough.....

Has anyone had any thoughts on how long they are likely to want to stay in hospital for? As I had a cs with ds I ended up staying in for 5 nights - I could have come home after 2 or 3 but they wouldn't let ds out because of his low birth weight, they classed him as 'transitional care'. I guess if I ended up with another cs then I won't have a choice but I can't imagine being stuck in a 4 bed-bay with babies crying all night .
I'm pretty sure ds2 is breech, feels just like ds did. Ds was breech from at least 27 weeks and then couldn't turn as he had his cord round his neck. Still, got a scan in 2 weeks so will know more then I guess!

HazieDazieandBaby · 28/05/2008 20:27

Hey girls!

Sorry I've been a bit absent lately, I seem to have been really busy but not quite sure what I've been doing to be honest! Good to hear that everyone seems relatively well, if we can exclude all the crying, aches and pains, expensive pram packages, etc!

Not much to report with me. Had midwife appt last week and everything is good. I've been having a pulse-like feeling low down in the bump for the last week or so which was coming and going and was a bit weird, but the midwife says it's the baby hiccuping! It's the cutest thing ever! Oh, she also said I had a pop-star bump! I asked her to move in with me at that point! - she's still thinking about it.. Oh, and I've got our 4d scan on Saturday at 11am which I totally can't wait for! I can't wait to see bubs little face and find out if DH is to be proved right over his insistence that we're having a boy! Still not sure if we're going to tell people that we've found out the flavour though, have to give it a bit more thought. My latest purchase is this baby carrier that I bought from a friend for £15. I can't see DH using it though to be honest! I was trying to bid on this one on Ebay, but am rubbish and kept getting outbid! If anyone has any tips, they're apreciated! It's supposed to be really comfy and detaches with the baby still in so that you don't have to wake them up if they fall asleep in it. I had the worst trapped wind ever last night, it was agony. 3 Wind-Eze and a lie down on my left side (dizzy's failsafe!)didn't bring any relief so hardly got a wink of sleep , will be in bed soon tonight I think.

Hopefully you haven't started the drive up already dizzy! It'd be lovely to see you but I don't want to be responsible for you having to be in Aberdeen, especially the way the weather is just now! Glad to hear your scan went well and you can relax a bit now.

sazzles I'm so jealous of your holiday, but it was my turn a while ago so think you can be let off! I loved your present to DH, I actually bought my friend this one when she and her DP had their baby recently and have 2 myself that DH and I got as engagement presents.

cyteen, I'm really glad to hear about your theory test, well done! Especially with baby brain - you should get 2 certificates for that I think! Fingers crossed on the practical now, but I'm sure all will be fine there.

TS, how cute are your scan pictures! She's gorgeous, although you don't need any telling!

CaptainCaveman, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday, but not so good that you are back at work , never mind though, maternity leave soon. I think I saw that you're finishing on 11th July? Me too and I'm counting down, although not in working days yet. Will make it my mission to work those out tomorrow!

poppysocks, I hope you're feeling better now, I didn't realise that stomach pains could be so scary until I became pregnant so you have my full sympathy.

Good to see you back libbyssister!

Good to hear about your scan sarahn and I agree with everyone who says that to have an idea of your baby?s weight really brings it home that a real little person is living in there!

So so so sorry about mammoth post! I hope I didn't send too many people to sleep!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 20:36

just as well hazie I was almost in the car and contemplating standing in the middle of Union Street and shouting on you - would no doubt have ended up in some shelter somewhere

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 20:36

LOVING the carrier by the way - that wee hood is TOOOOOOOOO cute!

HazieDazieandBaby · 28/05/2008 20:47

Nah, I don't think that would have made you look out of place dizzy! The absence of a bottle of White Lightning would have made you stick out like a sore thumb though!

I know, all the furry bits on the carrier did it for me and as soon as I saw there was a hood I was hooked! DH likes it but think the flowers on the hood make it look a bit 'wifey'!

dizzydixies · 28/05/2008 20:50

who says I hadn't my bottle packed?!?
