Well our late lunch turned into a family drive then it started raining so no more painting today...too much moisture in the air. However we might have found DDs new room color. It's VERY pink so I'm not thrilled but she says that's what she wants. I think her room is a wonderful shade of purple right now. It's very hard for me to paint over it.

Sazzles, no baking tonight here...kitchen's a mess. It's easier to ignore it at the moment.

well, busy weekend here. did check in a read the thread but no time/energy to rite anything.

Saturday was dd's birthday and party so busy busy busy. SO tired as a result. Then she wanted to (and remembered we'd promised she could) sleep in bed with us on the birthday night, and although we have a super king - with 3 of us plus all my various pillows, it was not v comfy!!!

I forget -has anyone been getitng cramp ie in the leg?? I woke up with the worst cramp EVER the other night, and the leg sill hurts a bit now, several days on . ow ow ow. I kicked dh by accident - was writhing around in agony and my leg must have popped over to his side. He panicked at my ow ow ow ow's.

Got a pram problem. Again. Having decided we need to buy a new one i am set on silver cross sleepover linear one. Thought i'd get the car seat in same range so that on occasion I can put sleeping baby on the wheels in car seat on school run (not normally into babies in car seats out of the car, but I can see that it may be less hassle for everyone this way). SO, I tried my friends car seat in the car yesterday - cos i'd heard that some cars have seat belts to short for silver cross ones. And yup, that's us too. Ancient car means awkwardness. grr. So will have to get whatver seat fits and abandon ideas of not waking baby in transfer from car to pram. grr grr grr

Alittlebitshy ditto the cramp in the legs but I've only managed to kick the cat so far so DH has had a lucky escape

Sorry to hear about the pram/car seat issue.

It is incredibly hot here today as it has been all weekend (BBC seem to have the weather at 30 with heavy showers for today but I haven't seen a cloud and it is 4.30pm and way above 30). Consequently I have huge ankles and not looking forward to trying to get my shoes on again when I have to leave work in an hour or so....

eek your poor ankles expectant. I imagine that anything we've had with swollen-ness, you;ve got so much worse. loads of synpathy and buckets of ice being sent your way.

Had a lovely weekend. 29 weeks now. I feel once I get to Saturday will be 30 weeks and that will be when count down rather than count up starts, as in will be saying how many weeks I have left as apposed to how many I am, are you all with me? Ok just me then. So for the record. 8 weeks left at work and 11 weeks until baby due

Very impressed with the room decorating. Babys room is currently cream with lilac butterflies, fairies and lilac curtains. We don't know what we're having yet whether boy or girl. Kind of thinking baby will be in with us for firtst few weeks so if a boy may do something about it then

me too - i'm 29 weeks. 9 weeks til baby comes (c sec between 38 and 39) woo hoo!!

That's cheating. You get to cut 2 weeks off your countdown, that's just not right

Bad luck re the car seat. I was going to say aswell I found a shop doing a really good deal on the new silvercross colour. Pram + car seat £75 off. Sometimes I think offers are too good to be true, but I've taken the risk and I've ordered on my credit card so at least I have some back up.

Sorry to be such a crap poster - too busy and not much to say.

Bump is officially huge. I had my 28 week appointment this morning, all ok BUT the lovely midwife was very apologetic as according to "current regulations" I have to go to see the consultant at the next available appointment - tomorrow - as I am measuring large for dates - 33 weeks - whoops! I measured about 48 weeks pregnant at the end with DS so no surprise then!

I do try to keep up to date but you are all very chatty

I have my 30 week appointment next week, I am dreading them measuring me, I know I will be big for my dates, it's something to do witrh huge belly that was there before I was pregnant but they won't listen.

Everybody keeps saying I'm having a girl cause I'm quite wide , I was never going to be one of these pregnant ladies with nice cute bumps so even if it is a boy I was still gonna be the wrong shape

Shazza - I had a huge overhang before getting PG and that does seem to be included in the measurement .

The consultant I think knows this from a comment he made last time but the poor midwife has to send me to see him because of regulations!

Well, we're now officially moved in to our new house and we both LOVE IT, but my goodness was it tiring. And it's not over yet - I'm only online atm because I'm sitting in the university waiting for the carpet cleaning man to finish doing the carpets in the old house - this morning DP dropped me off there and I dusted all the picture rails, skirting boards and windowsills before vacuuming so the place was ready for cleaning. OMG the dirt! the dust! It was hideous. I had emptied the Dyson before I started vaccing, but I still had to empty it again before I could finish the final room.

There's still a few carloads of stuff to bring over, and the rest of the cleaning (bathroom, kitchen, oven remove teastains from walls and woodwork), plus DP is worried that he'll have to repaint one room as he accidentally sprayed ink on the wall...then we have our NCT classes this weekend, then I've got my driving theory test next Tuesday. Am feeling rather frazzled to say the least.

BUT the new house is lovely, and it's coming together well. The cats have settled in after a stressy start and we've been enjoying all the things we've been without for the last two years (washing machine, freezer, shower cubicle instead of rubbish bath shower), so all is essentially well. Think I will just be happier when this month is done!

Got to register with new GP this week too, and make an appt with my new midwifery team...the squid has been pretty quiet over the weekend although that's no surprise what with all the activity and such, but he's given me some reassuring thumps and kicks in the night to let me know he's still there

Expectant, what you're experiencing is the beginning of the bare foot and pregnant phase. Your ankles and feet swell so big shoes don't fit thus you're required to go barefoot.

Alittlebitshy, are you sure the silver cross will only hold silver cross car seats? Of all the brands here in the US most allow you to cross purchase (couldn't think of a better description). In other words I can buy a Graco stroller but use a Peg Peregio car seat. A dealer won't typically tell you which seats will fit in the stroller/pram but the company website will....okay, just checked and the silver cross site said to Try Before You Buy. Anyway, you should be able to find a car seat that fits both the stroller/pram you want and your car.

Hi all, I am back from our week's holiday in Austria. I LOVE the kinderhotels! We had a great time and great weather. The bed almost killed me though, making my spd worse. Its much better since back in my own bad.

I had a midwife appointment just before I left and I was measuring 5 weeks more than I should be. She sent me for a scan despite me saying there was no problem. Baby is measuring exactly right - I am just an elephant!

I have a physio appointment this wednesday for the spd. Not sure they can do much though.

i've been a bit awol recently and have tried to catch up but given up trying to keep track of everyone's news!

we're moving this friday so our home has been transformed into a warehouse! boxes everywhere and most of them packed by DP..he has been an absolute star!

i'm full of a cold and feeling rather sorry for myself but you know what, the good news is that i am more than ready to leave my flat and i'm feeling less emotionally attached to it. this was helped by a visit to our new house at the weekend to collect some documents. the seller is lovely and asked if i wanted to pop up into the nursery (her box room but we'd already talked about how it was going to be baby's room). she's such a lovely lady..she's lived there 57years but all she's doing is looking forward. such a good example for me! its quite funny how i'd remembered the rooms.. one was alot bigger than i thought and one was alot smaller! its all swings and roundabouts!

belly button update... i can barely call it a flatie still, its a matter of hours before it pops!

got to run, need another tissue to blow my nose yet again!

ooh and forgot to say.. DP and I are officially grown ups now! we went to Currys (TS translation.. electrical store that sells everything!) yesterday and bought a dish washer and a microwave. It felt really rather nice wandering into the white good section of the shop instead of tv/dvd dept!
