Will do mummy2olivia. Make sure you get lots of rest and know that we are all wishing you the very best. xx

Bisou · 05/05/2008 15:36

Just wanted to say a huge sorry to nandos too if you're still reading. I am heartbroken for you too as you were TTC for a long time as well, it's so unfair.

And simmo14 that's so sad about your dad. It was lovely you could share your news with him though, I'm sure he would have been thrilled to know you are bringing a new life into the world. Take care of yourself and feel free to cry on our 'collective' shoulders all you want, we are always here for you.

cc21 · 05/05/2008 19:26

mummy2olivia - will say a prayer for you.

mibbes · 05/05/2008 21:09

simmo I am so sorry to hear about your dad, how awful for you. Look after yourself xx
hatty am so glad DD is ok - that must have been terrifying.
Mummy2olivia so sorry to hear that - let us know how you get on xx

kayzisexpecting · 06/05/2008 08:29

Morning,

I had a panic this morning. I had some brown blood and I rang the EPU. The lady there said that its old blood probably caused by having sex due to the friction and increased blood flow. But if it gets worse or I get cramps I can come in tomorrow morning. I feel so relieved now.

Its a really sunny day here today so I have put a skirt on

mummy2olivia I hope you are ok and the scan shows that everything is all right.

Disenchanted · 06/05/2008 08:34

Hey Kayz, I had brown blood with both my happy healthy little boys, try not to worry. My friend who is 18weeks also had alot of brown blood between 6-10 weeks and she and baby are fine.

I am very sick! I have 24 hour morning sickness ... I am feeling sick all day, feeling dizzy, hot ect ... then when it gets to the night I start vomiting its 24/7.

And to think a week or so ago I was HOPING morning sickness would start as I was feeling great

Ah weel, it shows everythings going well I suppose!!

Disenchanted · 06/05/2008 08:36

Mummy2olivia so sorry, I hope it all goes well,

As I was just saying to kay, my friend had alot of blood in her pregnancy, she had brown and bright red but she and baby are fine now,

I really hope this is the case for you too xxx

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/05/2008 08:37

I'm wearing a skirt today as well! DS1 is going to preschool and DS2 to his childminder in about ten mins so I can get a morning's work done but the sun is shining and I'd rather sit up in the garden with a good book and a big glass of orange juice with ice! I suppose I could take my laptop up the garden...

kayzisexpecting · 06/05/2008 08:38

I'm going to the pet shop. We have decided we want some fish so I'm off to have a look at tanks. DH said I can not come home with anything furry. So I had better keep away from the rabbits etc.

EffiePerine · 06/05/2008 09:03

Mummy2olivia: will be thinking of you today .

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/05/2008 09:24

I'm on the phone to the ultra sound people about my 15 1/2 week '12 week' scan as I type this with one hand....good news! They made a mistake. I have a new appointment.

Kayz - I would really struggle to avoid anything furry at the pet shop. We have one cat and if it were up to me we'd have more cats, rabbits, goats, chickens, the lot! (Our next-door neighbours have 2 dogs, 1 cat, chickens and 2 ducks (and probably more I haven't seen)).

EffiePerine · 06/05/2008 09:33

Good for you Becky

EffiePerine · 06/05/2008 09:35

still not too sick here, but so tired - keep dozing off (on teh sofa today with DS, on the bus, in a cafe the other day...).

Is anyone who is on DC2 and beyong having to remind their parter that they are in fact pg? Had a row discussion with DH yesterday over taking DS out ot the park - I just can't do two long walks a day which is the minimum needed to work off his energy (thank the Lord for work). Then he came home with lunch including prawns for a starter: er, had you forgotten that I can't eat the bloody things?

ChutneyMary · 06/05/2008 10:14

Mummytoolivia, I am so sorry. Take care.

Hello everyone else. I am less self pitying than I was a couple of days ago. Sorry about that. I have mastitis though which is not good. I also have a (d) H who doesn't remember that I am pg. He had a go at me this morning for crying about my poor boob. "That's not going to make it better".No, but I might feel a bit better....

Have ABs and have to go back in 2 days if no better for IV ABs. Oh dear. Still sick all the time, but in better frame of mind.

Hope everyone is OK.

kayzisexpecting · 06/05/2008 11:39

Becky I would be like that too. We said we'd have a farm if we won the lottery. I did go and look at the rabbits etc. They are so cute and we are going to get one when we get a house with a garden.

ChutneyMary I'm sorry you are so ill. It must be horrible.

Charliesmum22 · 06/05/2008 12:18

Mummytoolivia - I really hope everything is okay for you... I have my fingers crossed.

I'm afraid I will definately have to come off the list - I started bleeding yesterday afternoon, went to the doctors last night, and unfortunately the baby's heart has stopped beating. We are very upset, but I'm not completely shocked. I didn't have any sickness and had a funny feeling that something would go wrong. I have to go in for a D&C on Thursday which I am not looking forward to.

Hope you all have more luck than I have had...

EffiePerine · 06/05/2008 12:25

Charliesmum: so sorry

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/05/2008 13:07

Oh Charliesmum, poor you. That's very sad. Take good care of yourself xxxx.

artichokes · 06/05/2008 14:14

Mummy2Olivia - I have everything crossed for you today. I hope you do not get the bad news that you expect.

Charliesmum - I am so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

I hope everyone else is OK. I am very dizzy today. Whenever I stand-up I get coloured blotches in front of my eyes and I feel all faint. Has anyone else experienced this?

kayzisexpecting · 06/05/2008 14:57

charliesmum I am so sorry, please look after yourself.

Disenchanted · 06/05/2008 16:01

Sorry Chaliesmum Take care of yourself! xx

Artichokes, i went dizzy a few times earlier on with spots in front of my eyes.

Have also had a litle bit today but more likely because Ive been out in the sun, try to stay in the shade and drink lots of water now its getting warmer!

MaeWest · 06/05/2008 16:07

Hi all, not posted for a while as I was feeling a bit odd about this pg, almost like it isn't really happening and expecting the worst... I even went and did another test today fairly emphatic BFP.

So I made appt with MW, who sounds nice on the phone. Still 3 weeks away tho...

artichokes I've been having dizzy spells when I stand up, have to steady myself against nearby furniture until the black spots clear. Think it's something to do with low blood pressure?

disenchanted I've also found myself wishing for sickness, as haven't really had any, so will take heed from you and stop wishing asap

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/05/2008 16:43

I get dizzy as well. It is a low blood pressure / low blood sugar thing.

I think being pregnant is hugely stressful, especially these first few weeks - every twinge, not feeling sick enough, feeling too sick, any strange symptom or sign, etc.

The thing is we know we can't control what happens and that is really scary.

mummy2olivia · 06/05/2008 17:55

Hi everyone!!!

Just to let you know that had a scan today and......................

I have a TINY TINY bean with a tiny heartbeat!!! Dates are fine, all looks fine and bean is unruffled by my little bleed.

However, I am going to hibernate from the antenatal club for a while cos I need to get my strength and confidence up about this pregnancy. I'm finding that I am comparing myself and symptoms to others and getting gutted whereas I really feel that I need to go away, get through these difficult few weeks then come back when I know I'm ok. Sound odd? I know what I mean!! I will lurk and check you are all ok and I will be back at 12 weeks (hopefully!!!) but I just need to look after myself for a few weeks first.

See you all soon!!!!!!!
