Hi all...really feeling for all those feeling rough,im not to bad just queasy and off food. Re the HB thing id love one but my dh and mum are both really unsure about them which is putting me off! Got plenty of time to mull it over though!

BrightShinySun · 17/04/2008 11:38

Oh and congratulations to all the new BFPs!

Katie3677 · 17/04/2008 12:11

Hi all, can I join in the fun? Just got a BFP after ttc for a year, with 2 mc's in between. Very early days, so am not getting my hopes up, but it's a good start. third time lucky hopefully. I already have a 3 year old and think this one is due around 21 December - uh oh!

kayzisexpecting · 17/04/2008 12:13

Hello Katie congratulations.

I am really really hungry today. I'm having a pizza to myself for lunch

rosmerta · 17/04/2008 13:50

wow, more new people, there's going to be no room here when our bumps start to grow . Hello & welcome!!

sureitsno3 · 17/04/2008 14:01

I am still in a bit of denial, even though i am feeling quite sickly

How bright were all your BFPs? i did another test this morning, hoping for it to be a big bright pink line, but still faint.

I am not due AF until Monday though.

kayzisexpecting · 17/04/2008 14:53

Mine were really quite faint. They got darker the nearer to AF due day.

AllieBongo · 17/04/2008 15:05

oh, btw, I am anonymousse1. I couldn't be arsed to name change anymore
I feel as sick as a pig, and cleaning up a 3yr olds diaorrhea doesn't exactly help Apart from that, my pains have gone, and i'm doing my best to keep my pg secret until i've had my scan

AllieBongo · 17/04/2008 15:05

oh i've just read further down. sprry to all the lovely ladies who've had bad news ((hugs))

Disenchanted · 17/04/2008 15:07

Congrats to all the BFPs!!

hotmama · 17/04/2008 15:28

Right, got the courage to join the thread!

(Can't do emoticons as dd1 has spilt coffee on the keyboard and some of the keys are sticking!)

I think my due date is about the 21st Dec. I already have 2dd's who are 3 and 2 - they were 9 days and 12 days late - so may well be in the Jan postnatal group - but hope I don't go that far over!

(Obviously assuming everthing will go O.K.)

Have got my booking in appt on 28th Apr - I am old (41) and will have tests (I did for my dd's).

Congrats to everyone - hope to be still here in Dec.

MrsMattie · 17/04/2008 15:30

Welcome all newcomers

now someone please, please hit me over the head and wake me up in a bout 2 months. This morning sickness is hideous. I feel like a zombie. Heeellllppppp....

MaeWest · 17/04/2008 15:46

No sickness here, but think the hyper-awareness of smells is starting up again. I'm also knackered, but that's not new with a non-sleeping DS in the house

kayzisexpecting · 17/04/2008 15:55

Everytime I look on here we have a new person!! Welcome and congratulations Hotmama

I am also very tired. DS and I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon so I am feeling a bit better. I just hope its not to bad next week.

minster · 17/04/2008 16:19

sureitsno3 my period is due on Sunday - the test from this morning was light but visible (without taking it apart etc), I did another one at lunch time & it defintely darker but still much, much lighter than the control (I'll try & put a picture in my profile).

I have that horrible watery-mouth bad taste feeling, no real sickness but nappies aren't pleasant!

It's an odd bit this - doesn't seem real & there isn't much to do (I keep reexamining my pee sticks ). We'll try & book a scan at the FMC in about 3 weeks I think, I'm not going to contact the midwife until after that.

hiccymapops · 17/04/2008 16:40

Congratulations and welcome to all the newcomers

Proper Christmas babies now

MrsMattie, i feel like a right lightweight moaning to my hubby about feeling sick when i read what you're going through I really hope this stage passes for you soon, and anyone else that's got really bad MS.

So far i'm just shattered all the time, but Ben still getting up a few times a night isn't helping that i have 8 months to try getting the little monster to sleep through. I'm not liking my chances

Hope everyone's okay xx

abbymeg · 17/04/2008 16:46

BFP!

Am in shock. I'm also full of painkillers and I've only just had a general anesthetic, so I'm worried that everything will be okay.

After months of being on the ttc threads (waves to all the 2WW-ers that were) I can honestly say that this was not planned.

I'm exactly 4 weeks, so it's very, very early days.

And the due date is 25th December.

(Waves to lolabella from november who I know is waiting for me to post on here )

LolaBella · 17/04/2008 17:15

Hurray to Abbeymeg!!!

I think i'm more excited than anyone about your news. My first baby buddy. xx
Fab date too

abbymeg · 17/04/2008 17:58

Lolabella hello missus. Am all nervous and doing frantic knicker checks! Did another test, after lots of tea, and it's still there.

Disenchanted · 17/04/2008 18:08

Congratulations Abbeymeg, Im due Christmas day too

I went to the doctors today, have been refered and have to phone for an appointment next week

Its all very exciting! Can't wait to confirm my homebirth

abbymeg · 17/04/2008 18:23

Disenchanted - Congratulations too - I saw that you'd moved over from 2ww. I never thought I'd be joining you the very next day! I'm going to the drs on Monday. Have you already got children?

Disenchanted · 17/04/2008 18:26

Yes I have 2 boys age 3 and nearly 2

Is this your first?

I can't believe Im due on christmas day! I said to my DH 'maybe we should not try this month as Im not sure I want a December baby because of christmas and DS's birthday (Dec 13th)'

He said, it hasn't worked the last 5 months it probably wont this month.

Then I get CHRISTMAS DAY!

Pmsl.

abbymeg · 17/04/2008 18:34

It's the way it always works. I was trying for 6 months - nothing. Then I found out I had to have an operation on my neck, so stopped trying. Had the op last week - I've been taking anti-nausea pills all week thinking it was effects of anesthetic, along with loads of other hard medication. Af didn't arrive today, thought that I'd better check to be on the safe side, and BFP. Still in shock.

It's my second. DD is nearly 10, so it's been a while. I don't know what I'll do yet. Had a rotten labour that ended in c-section after 3 days (She weighed 10lbs 12oz), so don't know whether I'll elect for another section to avoid going through that again. But after all the medication over the last week, I'm just hoping it stays put!

Nothing is ever easy where kids are concerned . Am still really pleased tho .

IceCube · 17/04/2008 18:53

Disenchanted - I was exactly the same about the December baby, "lets not try too hard this month". Just shows it's best to relax and not over think conception I guess, lots of people seem to get pregnant on holiday.

MrsMattie · 17/04/2008 18:55

Same with us. We were trying loads and nada. Then went on holiday and I said 'Let's forget about ttc, I want to drink loads of wine and not worry about my bloody cycle', and....BFP 2 weeks later!
